Here are the prompts for underrated d20 ship week which will run from July 13th-July 19th (with a bonus day of July 20th for a free day)

Rules and context:

This is a week for celebrating d20 ships that that not get a lot of attention. For this event people are encourged to make fanfics, fanart, edits, etc for any d20 ships they consider underrated across any campaign. Unlike underrated d20 month the rules here are much looser. Meaning unlike last time, ships involving IH PCs are allowed and also encouraged for this event! As long as it isn't a ship that is obviously popular (like Fig/Adya from Fantasy high) any ship is fair game.

When the time comes please tag any posts you make for this event as #underratedd20shipweek and tag this account so I can reblog it

For each day there are two prompts listed. You do not have to use both of them, you are free to if you want to but you can also just pick one or the other.

Ships involving incest and pedophilia are not allowed for this event

Along with that, I will not reblog any ships that involve changing a characters canon sexuality. Like shipping Kristen from Fantasy high with a man would not be allowed because she is a lesbian.

Q: What is Art Bash?

The D20 Art Bash is an event similar to Art Fight but without the attack mechanic and with a focus on fanart, specifically Dimension 20 fanart. You'll join one of two teams and draw for points. There will be weekly prompts for people to redeem for points, but there will also be permanent prompts & every submission will gain your team points based on medium and other factors, such as being a sketch vs a full painting, regardless of whether you do any prompts. Q: When is Art Bash?

This year Art Bash will be happening for the entire month of September. In future years this may change based on participant feedback.

Q: Who is Art Bash for?

Art Bash is for anyone who does any form of visual art. This includes drawing, animation, 3d modeling, ceramics, sculpting, fiber arts, comics; Anything that is visual is included in Art Bash. As long as you start & complete it during Art Bash and can provide a photo or video of your piece of fanart, anything visual goes.

Q: Who is the Art Bash organizer?

Currently the one and only organizer of this event is @meowmedusa. I plan on opening mod/organizer applications sometime in the next month, so watch out for that if you're interested!

Hello everyone! Here is the submission form to suggest prompt for underrated d20 ship week! Copy and pasting the idea for this from the interst poll:

It will operate like a normal ship week, however you will be encouraged to use the prompts to make creations for any d20 ship you personally find underrated. It can be from any campaign, and unlike the last event, IH PCs are allowed to be included this time! The only rule would be that it can't be a ship that is obviously popular, like Figayda from fantasy for example.

Feel free to suggest any prompt you think will be nice! It can be vague, something like "flowers" or more complex if you wish! Prompts already used during underrated d20 month are allowed.

I will figure out a time to hold the event depending on how many suggestions I get

This one was originally meant to be for the last day of the Underrated D20 Event, but I kinda ran out of steam and took a bit of a break 😅 (still, I really wanted to draw Torek!!) The prompt was "leader" 🔥

@underrated-d20-event day 28!! I made it!! In true me fashion, it is three days late, but I made it!!!

The theme for the day was Leader, which gave me a perfect opportunity to come full circle by writing some more about my beloved bird daughter, Sunny <3 Except I got. A little too excited about that. As in I wrote over three times my supposed word cutoff. Oops?

So yeah, I posted it on AO3 because it was a bit too long to be a comfortable read under a readmore. Spoilers for the Pirates of Leviathan finale :)

With this, this challenge comes to an end! Though I scrambled a lot to get my ficlets out in time, it was a lot of fun and made me want to rewatch a bunch of different seasons. Plus I wrote over 13k words in total! Wow!

Fun fact!! Two years ago, when I first started watching D20, I participated in the Zine Jam, and back then I was just getting used to my tablet so I was only able to do one drawing, and it was the young version of Karna. So, here's the comparison:

@underrated-d20-event day 27 :D The themes for today were Karna Solara and Hurt/Comfort, aka one of my favorite side quest PCs and one of my favorite tropes, so you know I had to do it to her ✨

O Bulb, Bring Me Home (550 words)

As Karna stares into the void, into the sharp, whirring blades that are just waiting to tear her skin and organs apart, she realises two essential things.

One, she is about to die.

Two, she’s not ready to.

It’s weird, really. She’s been treading the line between life and death for years now. Always living on borrowed time, always aware that no matter how long she fought against it, the clock would stop ticking eventually.

She never thought she would die like this, though. She thought the hungry one would take her first. She thought the rot would spread over her body until there was nothing left of her, nothing remaining of the person she was.

She thought she would at least get some time to say goodbye. To everyone. To him…

To…

She only has time to smile.

And then

She

…

… wakes up.

She coughs as she does. The air is too pure to belong to the cave, too warm, the texture underneath her is too soft. She’s no longer in there. She’s…

She…

"Karna? Karna, are you ok?"

That voice… she knows it. She’s heard it just a moment ago. But it’s… odd. Wrong.

Karna raises her head to face Amangeaux.

She looks… worried, is the first thing she notices. And then she notices everything else. How much smoother her face is, how bright her eyes are. The lack of wrinkles on her face and calluses on her hands.

She’s just like she remembers her, seven years ago. Before all of this. Before the cave, before the assassination, before even the fellowship.

Like the years of war she’s gone through are just… gone.

"Karna?" Amangeaux asks again. Karna flinches when she lays a hand on her shoulder.

"I– I’m–" she tries to stutter, but her voice is wrong, too, it’s so much higher-pitched, and her hands are green, and there’s a hood obscuring her face, and…

That’s her. That’s her, years ago.

But the rot still festers within her.

"Did you have a nightmare…?" Amangeaux offers helpfully, her voice soft and comforting.

When she raises a hand to her cheek, Karna realises she has been crying.

Is that it, then? A nightmare? Is that all that was? Did she just… dream up the last seven years of her life? Did she make it all up? No, it can’t be, it can’t be, she’s not– It was real! It was all real! It had to be! It had to–

Her spiral is abruptly cut by the feeling of more warmth around her, more texture. Fabric. A body.

Amangeaux is hugging her.

Karna doesn’t know what to do. She hasn’t been that close to Amangeaux in a long time. She doesn’t have any right to do this – not after threatening her to her face the last time she saw her.

And yet…

And yet…

She hugs her back.

"It’s ok," Amangeaux tells her, running her hand through Karna’s hair and pushing back her hood. "It’s going to be ok."

Karna does not say anything. She just embraces her tighter. Maybe, she thinks, she can melt into her. Maybe this can all fade away.

It was just a nightmare.

It was just a nightmare.

She is unable to tell whether that feeling in her guts is relief or dread.

@underrated-d20-event day 27 26! Yeah, I'm late again. I have no excuse.

Yesterday's theme was Rain, and I took the opportunity to write about one of the only seasons I hadn't written about yet :]

"Come on, Em! You ever seen Singin' in the Rain?" Sofia asked, beaming despite the droplets pooling on her face and the wet clothes sticking to her skin.

She watched Em tilt her head to the side in curiosity. "Haven’t watched many movies in my lifetime, sweetheart. I’ve watched people singing in the rain before, if that helps?"

Sofia couldn’t help but bark out a laugh. "Yeah, maybe? But it’s got this scene, right– The main couple, they dance together under the rain? And I thought, maybe you might–"

"Woah, what’cha implying there, toots?" the angel interrupted her, kneeling closer to the ground with a smirk on her face. "Ya want me and you to dance in the park?"

"Yeah! What do you say?"

Em frowned, perplexed; but before long, she nodded, reaching out her hand with a smile. "Y’know what? I don’t get the opportunity to do that stuff often. Let’s do it, then!"

Sofia cheered as she took Em’s hand, the metal cold under her touch, and helped her get down from the top of her fountain, making a small thud as she landed.

Her movements were awkward, creaking with every step; still, she let herself be guided by Sofia's touch, despite being much taller than her. Behind her, her wings flapped, slowly but excitedly. She was carved to be pretty, of course, but seeing her like this, rain dripping down the sides of her face and smiling... Sofia's breath hitched in her throat.

She wondered, for a second, what outsiders to the Unsleeping City were seeing in her stead. If the Umbral Arcana was covering Em up completely, leaving Sofia to dance alone in the park, or if they perceived the angel to be extraordinarily tall version of these people that painted themselves and acted like statues come to life.

Not that it mattered. She wasn't going to start caring about random passersby's opinion now. Not when she was having so much fun.

"You're positively drenched, sweetheart," Em chuckled, bringing Sofia closer to her so she could cover her with one of her wings. "You're gonna catch a cold or somethin'."

"I thought you were the angel of the waters! Can't you heal me if I get sick?"

Em gave her an exasperated, yet fond smile. "Would you say rain counts as New York water? I think that's quite a reach!"

Sofia just threw herself at Em, shaking with laughter and excitement. Sure, she might regret doing this in the morning; but for now, she was just happy to be spending this time with her.
