"You know you're not just someone to make out with to me, right?" What an odd thing to say to a man you literally just made out with, you might think. But Gin had always done things his way and that would not change. Most of the time, it worked in his favor because people saw his genuine heart. He could only hope Reiya saw it, too. Squeezing the blond's hand, the detective prayed his feelings came across, showed how much he truly wanted his companion.
"You don't have to accept me, but not saying anything to you about it seemed unfair," Gin then continued as they proceeded to walk. "You're hot, no doubt. And when we first met, your fire was undeniable. Even now we sometimes clash a little, thankfully not in too serious ways." Easy laughter followed in addition to his thumb brushing over hand. "I enjoy every second with you, is what I'm trying to say."
Reiya was always quietly amazed by how quickly Gin could swap his emotions, from being sexy and playful to soft. Just the way he had gone from a little scary to caring when they first met. The blond was different; he dealt with so many suppressed emotions that he was calm and confident most of the time, but here and there, the hidden surfaced. The only person who had somewhat of an idea about that was Ishii, but it was easy with him, considering the two friends did not spend as much time together, being vulnerable there was easy.
The fact that they really were holding hands was a little strange to his mind. Wasn't it more dedicated to true lovers? However, the older man seemed comfortable, so he decided not to be weird about this in public either. He turned around, black eyes meeting the other's warm gaze. "Hm?" Reiya looked at him while leading the way. "Something on your mind?"

"If so, you are wearing the wedding dress, my friend. Where is your head right now?!" She gave him a light tap on the forehead, huffing at whatever was going on with Sedona right now. Miran could deal with a lot and so she did. He was a handful. "We are going to another store and then we can have food. I said it's my treat. Listen to me or the free food is off the table!"
Miran pulled the man along by the collar, no patience left to wait for a response from him yet it did not take them long to arrive at the first destination, a quick click and collect that Sedona was allowed to carry as well. Once that was settled, she led him to a restaurant, a steak house. "Does this tickle your fancy, hm?"

"Aight, so, where the fuck we goin'?" He had forgotten what he had agreed to. He had remembered agreeing to something, as far as his memory reached without pulling a muscle. A first for them, he realized.
"We beatin' somebody up? Pickin' out weddin' dresses? Nah nah nah, we're... doin' some kinda espionage."

"Thank you, Eri-kun." Hikaru was very much aware of the relationship between his two best friends, had been from the very beginning as someone who had a talent for reading people ( not perfectly, just enough as he was a good observer ). And when Ryohei told him about his feelings for the first time, the cat cafe owner simply patted his shoulder and jokingly said the taller should use massage oil next time after the gym - whatever that meant. With a smile, he fed Eri a small strawberry, using one of these cute pastry forks Momiji had gifted him. "It would suit you," Hikaru commented warmly, "Then again you seem to make everything suit you. Just know I support you whatever path you choose. Eri-kun is my dear friend, after all."
"Well, I will further continue to try and add to Hikaru-chan's happiness. Focusing now more on doing so as a friend, of course." And whatever one may call it when it came to him maybe dating Ryohei. While the older never directly spoke about this connection so far, in consideration of how close the two men were, he had no doubt Hikaru had to sit through a few sessions of Ryo rambling about it, only in the good ways, of course. "I love my job but, if you can keep a dark secret, I do have times when I fantasize about opening a cute tea place where I get an excuse to wear yukata outside of one-time festivals. I do think I talk way too much for that, but the idea is nice," he chuckled, helping Hikaru with the trays.

as much as i love the trope of a character falling fast and hard for someone, i also love the subtle descent where they don’t really think about it; where that person is just kind of there until one day they realize that person is so ingrained in their lives and they cannot do without them. where there is no conscious effort on either ends to become romantically involved but somehow the thought of them being with someone else is disconcerting. where “i enjoy being with you” unwittingly turns into “i want to be with you”

you're my favorite type of distraction. (yuma)
@lichtgrau • lots and lots of flirting
Oh, this brought the heat back to her cheeks. They had plans to work out together on the rooftop, a little homage to one of their first romantic moments. Himari still thought of them every now and then, always grateful that Yuma had so much patience with her - back then as well as today. This patience was the reason the onmyoji could open up further, share her needs and desires as well as hopes and worries. And it certainly enabled her to show more of her bold side.
She had already hugged him from behind when Yuma declared her to be his favorite distraction, a playful sound audible. “Sorry that I keep you from warming up… I thought maybe we could help each other warm up instead?” If her lover said he wanted to go through with the workout routine instead, Himari was not going to stop him. No matter how insecure she could be, the one thing she knew for certain was that Yuma adored her. And sometimes you had to get things done before you could enjoy other fun moments. Other times, you simply were not in the mood, Himari understood that all too well.
Hence why her teasing touches remained just that until an answer was given. Did it stop the onmyoji from kissing his shoulder? “If not, please consider this motivation to continue the workout,” Himari chuckled, taking in the sight. “I think you’re my favorite distraction, too.”

are you wearing my shirt? it looks good on you. (arata)
@lichtgrau • lots and lots of flirting
“Since you were gone for a bit and I missed you, I needed a substitute until you got back. I was about to take it off but you seem to like it.” His laughter was sincere yet a slightly teasing as words were suggesting something very obvious. Gin approached his lover, pulled him into a tight embrace with his chin resting on Arata’s shoulder. The dragon closed his eyes and simply enjoyed the moment. The kamaitachi’s scent was everywhere and yet Gin seemed to feel the most at ease when Arata was around. How else could it be?
Needless to say, nothing else was added to the man’s temporary outfit, the oversized shirt barely covered his thighs. Moments of quiet intimacy could be sweet and gentle but also heated and full of desire, Gin had yet to decide in which direction he should go. Or perhaps all of them, who said you had to decide on one? A content purr left his lips, craving the warmth of the other. “Don’t make me look at you right now, I’m actually blushing madly right now…”

"You make it sound like you are too old now," Fumie commented, pushing the sunglasses on top of his head to keep some of his long hair back, just enjoying having his legs in the water while watching her float. He wasn't busy until the evening ,and it would be a waste to book a hotel just to not make use of most of it. "Why not do it now? You could even do it just for a Summer, nobody would question why you seem to be so natural, not needing a day of preparation and training."
@lichtgrau • mermaid part time job
Hana scrunched her nose. Truly, who said she could not do it now? The ningyo took her time to enjoy the simple act of floating around, her content expression revealing how much enjoyment it brought her just by being in water. “If the payment is to my liking I might do it.” You could think Hana was rather and greedy and perhaps a part of her did love money more than the average person but to her, it had been instinct, means of survival so to speak. She never held it against Gin or Otohime who had no financial worries at all but they did not have to start from scratch. Hana had never asked for the riches she deserved, she wanted nothing to do with a parent who left her early on. Ah, enough with the gloomy thoughts. “You’d come to my mermaid show, right?”

It’s a difficult topic for me bc on the one hand I’d love to actively talk to more people, on the other it’s anxiety ( panicking my longtime partners think I’m not happy, that I wanna replace them, that I myself am not good enough, getting ignored in the end etc. ). In the end I guess I’ll just try out different things and if it doesn’t work out, it doesn’t. Sorry, just had to say these things once. Jsjsjs

Funny, how a small detail like his boyfriend remembering the way to his apartment could make Gin's heart race. He did not even have to point Arata in a direction, the kamaitachi simply knew. Before the dragon was truly aware of their change of scenery, they were already at his place, sweet kisses exchanged as they settled to get cozy. "You know how to make yourself comfortable," Gin hummed as they parted, "I'll prepare everything and join you with tea and snacks in a bit."
Gin arranged a small plate with baked goods Hana had gifted him ( saying something about sharing them with his lover ) while the tea was brewing. Tea often was like meditation to him, he paused for a moment, focused on the sound of water, the scent and the simple act in itself. Once certain everything was prepared, he walked into his living room and placed the tray on the table in front of the couch. In no time, the dragon joined Arata, hugging the man tightly.
"We can go to your place," Arata agreed with a small nod while making their way back to his motorcycle once the trash was placed in the right container. He handed the second helmet to Gin again, ensuring all was secured before he got onto the bike. It was a nice drive through the night, the streets almost emptied out now as they made their way through smaller neighborhoods. Arata was good at remembering ways, having taken the one to his boyfriend's apartment more than once.
He parked the motorcycle at a small location indicated for it, ruffling through his hair when he looked at the other man, nodding with a smile. "Sure, tea sounds nice." He pulled the bag over his shoulder, squeezed the dragon's hand, and followed him upstairs. Sometimes, Arata had domestic moments such a sthis one where he found himself accidentally leading the way, including unlocking the door before pressing a gentle kiss on Gin's lips and peeling off his biker equipment.
