10 years from now

Dear future self,

I hope 10 years from now, you have graduated as an Architecture successfully and with flying colors and made your parents proud.

I hope you are now licensed and passed the board exam.

Hopefully, you are earning and providing the family with your hard-earned money. It's ok to feel pressured and be the bread winner because I guess that's your role in this world.

I hope you are happy and in a good place.

Unta naka-abroad ka since that is really your dream: to get the hell away from here.

I hope you have found your love of your life. Preferably same sex tho hahaha. But, if it's not, then that's ok, too.

If 10 years from now, you are alone, no one to share the life with, that is okay.

That is fine with me because maybe your purpose is to provide the family and live miserably.

I know you must be thinking, "sadboi yarn?". That's because currently, at the time I'm writing this, I am dealing with something.

I felt pressured, nervous, and unhappy, but hey, that's ok! I am still ok. I am fine. I will be fine.

I hope you went back and pursue arts as your hobby, freelancing, or side hustles. You're really good at it and 18-year-old Dondie is very proud of you.

I am nervous yet excited to meet you, Dondie 10 years from now.

OH! And I hope you are rich now. That has been always your dream.

I hope you were not afraid on trying new things like doing acting or joining a dance group. I saw you! You love to dance. You want to perform. But you are very insecure.

I hope you are not insecure now. I hope you have achieved your body goals, skin goals, and everything goals hahahaha because currently, I didn't.

i am disappointed as hell

I am upset. I am disappointed. ANY WORD you can think that is synonymous to "disappointed", I felt it today when we had a sort of a talk show (February 14, 2022).

To give you a context, dear future self, this month is celebrated to be as HUMSS Month where any specific day, HUMSS strand have prepared specific event and today was "TRUE LOVE WAITS".

As the talk was about to be over, a question was asked about 'their opinion' about same sex relationship. Let's just say, their opinion is trash, ironic, hypocrite, annoying, silly, and not my taste.

The husband of the host proceed to take a story from the Bible called Sodom and Gomorrah. He refered same sex as a sin. And that is not worse, the lady named "Judy" told a story about their homosexual friend who had a 360 transformation because of the love of GOD. If that sound not supressing and repressing to you then I don't know what is.

Clearly, they are biased against same sex.

The lady proceeded to proclaim that they respect everyone, they love everyone, and they love the sinners, but hate the sin or the acts. I mean, ok? Is that suppose to help us? That is literally like a north pole and south pole. Completely on the other side. Different.

I left a comment saying, "About your homosexual friend, that is not turning 360. He is repressing who he truly is. He is repressing his true self just to feed in to society's standard", and I stand by that. That's a fact and that's on period.

Why is wrong for gays to pursue love with their same sex partners, and not be condemned as demons and sinners.

Is it true that God hates same sex relationship? Did he prohibits? Then why are we feeling this way.

It is very wrong to say the least that "pwede labanan" as if it's a sickness or a temptation that you can just avoid. Let's say they successfully avoided being gay and engage to homo acts, the question is, are they happy? Are they satisified? Did they find peace and happiness?

There are many accounts out there that supressing homosexuality is toxic.

They proceeded to say that, homosexual acts is wrong just because they cannot procreate and then bringing that "Adam and Eve" statement.

Is that really the goal or the objective of marriage or being union? To bear child?

I just hate people with stupid beliefs like that.

Am I going to hell? Is it wrong to speak like that? Is it wrong to tell my own opinion?

Fritz, the emcee sort of, said to respect their opinion because we have different definitions of love. It all boils down to respect their opinion when they are violating the gay's rights to love and be love. How can I move on? Respect begets respect. How can I respect when they can't even respect?
