honestly, now i'm just thinking about how good "the magnus armour is Literally His Corpse" is conceptually again. one time i saw someone suggest this with the caveat that it keeps trying to go grey because you know, TF Corpses Do That so the wearer has to constantly re-paint it and like. i wish i could find that post again because WHAT an idea. agreeing to what is very clearly some kind of suicide mission and then part of it is being constantly reminded you are walking around inside a dead thing. the constant memento mori of that combined with the idea that not only is it near-inevitable that you're going to die doing this (look at how many others did) but that in a way it's almost the point, because half of what makes "ultra magnus" impressive is in fact the part where he keeps miraculously "not dying" after things that realistically would be certain death, so actually, about the best thing you can do to keep that legend going is die.
