PRESS RELEASE BOARD

for my press release board I wanted t6o keep it very similar to my design boards so they look cohesive so I went for a mix of onion images aswell as ruffles but I decided to keep this one monochrome. overalll I am very happy with the way that this looks.

DESIGN BOARDS

for my design boards I wanted to keep a very running theme keeping the same vibe or them all I reused old ruffles which I didn't use in my garment to decorate the pages I also included the images I drew of onions as that is where I gathered most of my inspiration from. I also decided as poems were quite a big pat of my research that I should use them in some way so I decided on putting a poem which resonates with each design on each board. using the valentine poem of my final garment

overall I am very happy with the outcomes of these and I think they show my project vert well

this action plan is what helped me keep time throughout my amp and time manage properly. I really found this helpful as it helped me keep onto of work unlike previous projects.

CUSTOMER PROFILE BOARD

for my customer profile board I envision a young Girl who is from an upper class background living through an abusive sitchuation and wearing my garment to a red carpet to raise awareness for domestic abuse. above in my customer profile board you can see how I envision her and the target market for this garment.

I have also created a customer profile mind map for this to help me create my final board. overall I am very happy with the mind map and the board it allowed me to produce

PRESS RELEASE

in my press release I wanted to again tell the story of the garment and show the journey that this shows to raise awareness for this subject. overall I really like my press release and I think it is really effective in showing the story of the garment while remaining formal and soft spoken.

I also created in support of my press release a press release mind map which allowed me to put all the words and vibes I wanted it to go with the press release and set the scene

COMMERCIAL

For my commercial I wanted to keep the same vibes which I have for my photo shoot with the scanned woman and poetry but I also wanted it to tell a story. I chose to mix poems by Lana del ray about 5 diffrent ones and ultra violence instrumentals in the back I also wanted to tell a story through the shedding of the skirt as if the woman is loosing baggage and emotional guilt from the abusive sitchuation and she is light and free again. overall I love this and I think it looks very effective

PHOTOSHOOT

For my photoshoot I had chosen to geo for a scanned woman vibe while also having references of my theme of domestic violence. to help think of poses and the vibe I wanted I used a mix of pinterest and a customer profile board which I created. overall I love the way this turned out and it gives the vibe which I wanted. I wanted to really show the main idea of shedding layers of a toxic relationship/person and the weight which is lifted from that like leaving a domestic violence sitchuation. I also used many poems which reference domestic abuse in my ohotoshoot laying them on the ground around me as one of the main influences of this was the idea of layers which I got from the poem valentine by carol Anne duff so this felt very important to have in the shoot

METHOD

above is my written method which I used word to write and I am really pleased with the way it turned out.

SKIRT

for my final skirt I have created a 3 tiered ruffle skirt with a zip and waist band in the back. I created the first pattern using a skirt block and adding volume then from that pattern I decided the length I wanted my other two skirts to be and Drew with my pattern master down following th angel. to attach the ruffles I top stitches leaving an overhang then once I had seen the centre back seam of the skirts I sewed the ruffles together then top stitched them on. overall I found making this skirt very good and no where near as stressful as the corset and I lobe the end outcome

FINAL CORSET

For my final corset I made a toile with lining in it and then went on to create in my final fabric which didn't work out due to the light weight nature of the fabric so I decided to use one of the corsets for lining and the other one to create ruffles on my skirt. overall I love the way this turned out and I feel like it looks amazing and exactly what I envisioned and paired with the skirt really shows the story.

CORSET DRESS#2

for my second corset draft I did the same method of taping the mannequin but made the patterns a lot bigger, I also had to deduct a pattern piece from this to make it fit me as it was way to big but Ince I did that I started adding leanth and volume.

above I have also included a video of me drafting and elongating the patterns from a corset just into a dress.

CORSET #1

For my first draft of my corset I started by taping my mannequin and drawing on where I wanted my seams then cutting this of the mannequin and extending the patterns to create a dress ( as well as adding volume) this draft didn't work out as the patterns were to thin and didn't hold enough structure so I redrafted however I am really happy with this for my first attempt

above I have included a video of my drafting my first pattern using the tape method which I found really good and helpful in what I was tying to make.

SHAWL TECH FILE

as a potential part of my designs I have chosen to draft a shawl in the case where I did have time to create. in the end I did not have time or fabric left to complete but I did toile it so I decided to include in my file

TECHNICAL FLATS

for my technical flats I have used procreate to create as I find it easier to get more detail into the pictures. overall I am really happy with the way that this has turned out and it was very helpful going into making my final garment

DESIGNS

for these pages I have displayed all the designs which I chose not to use in my final line up and annotated them with key details about each garment. I really like all these designs but in the end I think the 6 that I chose went best with my theme and flowed the most. overall I am really happy with the way this page has turned out and I think it looks very effective

MEDIA EXPERIMENTATION

for my media experimentation I have done 5 designs in diffrent medias I have done one in pencil, one in pro marker, one in water colour, fabrics and my final one in finaliser. my favrouite out of all of these is the water colour as I feelmlike I can blend more especially with my designs as quite a lot of my designs have gradients. I have also decorated this page using tea bags and pens which mimic closely one of my patterns. overall I love this page
