We Are Not Under Law But Under Grace
We Are Not Under Law But Under Grace
https://www.unitedbyprayer.com/.../we-are-not-under-law...
As Church-age believers, We Are Not Under Law But Under Grace, which means that we are called to live by a standard which is only achieved when we live for Christ, die to self, walk in spirit and truth, and submit to the leading and guidance of the Holy Spirit.
As Church-age believers, we are not subject to the Mosaic Law (and its many regulations). The prime objective of the Mosaic Law was to identify sin and point the sinner to Christ. Nor are we bound by any man-made laws, religious rules, or legalistic regulations, which are too often imposed by denominational churches or legalistic individuals.
As Christians, we are not required to do certain things e.g. keep certain feasts, visit certain places, eat certain foods, or act in certain ways, as part of our 'religion' or faith. However, we should always recognize that although all things are lawful for us, not all things are expedient.
This verse is not dealing with sinning which is clearly laid out in Scripture for our learning, but is explaining that if legitimate actions or activities cause us, or another Christian, to backslide or stumble, we should recognize the problem and quickly turn from it.
1 Corinthians 6:12 All things are lawful for me, but all things are not helpful. All things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any.
Our United Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for the freedom we have in Christ. Thank You that we are not under any form of the Law, but under grace. Keep us from sin, we pray, and give us the wisdom to recognize things that are permissible, but which are not expedient, and help us to live our lives in ways that honors You. Thank You that in Christ, all things are lawful unto us, but we pray that we will not cause another to stumble or backslide in our own Christian life. In Jesus' name, AMEN.

God Is Love
God Is Love
https://www.unitedbyprayer.com/united-by.../god-is-love
We know and we believe that the truth of God's Love and our knowledge of Him, is simply a matter of fact through faith in Christ. It is a matter of trusting His Word. It is a matter of faith, which pleases the loving heart of our gracious God of Love and secures our hope in Christ Jesus our Lord.
The love of God reaches into every aspect of our lives and touches every 'jot and title' of our need. Behind the black clouds of sin, shines the Son of redeeming love.
Hidden in the dusty desert of despair, we are given streaming rivers of living water that are overflowing with the Love of God, and Jesus Christ Whom He sent to reveal Himself to us. Jesus invites all to come and drink deeply of His refreshing Love, and to wrap ourselves around this never-failing truth.
Perhaps this verse, which so simply states that "God Is Love," expressing the essential features, the very essence of God and should be increasingly stirred-up in our hearts, knowing that those that rest, remain, abide, and dwell in His love by keeping their minds on Jesus, are assured that the Love of God will rest, remain, abide, and dwell in their hearts; encouraging, providing, upholding, leading, refreshing, comforting, and supporting. God Is Love.
1 John 4:16 And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them.
Our United Prayer:
Loving Father, we praise You for Your heart of love that is open towards us, and for the many ways that You shower Your love into our lives. Keep us ever mindful of Your never-failing love and ever-abiding presence in our hearts. Use us we pray, to stream Your gracious love through our lives and out to the weary and thirsty souls that You place in our path. This we ask in Christ's name and for His greater glory, AMEN

We Are Saved By God's Grace
We Are Saved By God's Grace
https://www.unitedbyprayer.com/.../we-are-saved-by-gods...
The Law was not given to tell sinners what to do to gain righteousness. The Law was given to show fallen men and women that godly righteousness is impossible to achieve through keeping the Law, because we are all sinners by nature, and we have all fallen short of God's perfection. The Law was the means God used to help sinful men and women see that we are all in need of a Savior. Because God is righteous, He must punish sin.
The very essence of the gospel of salvation is that We Are Saved By God's Grace. We are saved because God in His grace gave His Son to be the propitiation for our sins, and all we have to do is to believe this to be declared righteous by God and brought into His family. Having been saved by grace, through faith, we are to live by grace through faith, and not try to mix bits of the Law and human merit into our daily living.
We who are saved by grace through faith, should take this issue of trying to become righteous by the Law very seriously. If any aspect of our initial salvation or our ongoing walk with the Lord as a believer can be gained through what we do then Christ's work on the Cross would not be necessary to make us acceptable to God. The entire book of Galatians is written to warn the believer that we are both justified AND sanctified by God's grace.
Praise God that we can live in hope and joy, knowing that our righteousness comes not from meritorious works we do, or works of the Law we keep, but from the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Galatians 2:21 I do not set aside the grace of God; for if righteousness comes through the law, then Christ died in vain.”
Our United Prayer:
Heavenly Father, we come to You in humble gratitude and praise for Your unconditional love. Thank You for sending Your Son, Jesus to pay the price for our sins, and for granting us the gift of grace. Thank You for delivering us from the burden of having to constantly strive for perfection, and for reminding us that there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. We pray that You will fill us with Your peace and joy as we accept this gift of grace. Thank You for Your mercy, Your kindness, Your goodness, Your grace, and for loving us unconditionally. In Jesus' name we Pray, AMEN.

A Willingness To Tell Others About Jesus
A Willingness To Tell Others About Jesus
https://www.unitedbyprayer.com/.../a-willingness-to-tell...
God of heaven and earth does not dwell in places that are constructed by man, nor is He served by human hands. The pagan deities that the Athenians worshipped, needed human beings to build their temples and bring them things, whereas the great God of the universe needs nothing from men, since He Himself gives life and breath to all people and all things.
There is no correct way to introduce the gospel of grace to unbelievers, but there does need to be A Willingness To Tell Others About Jesus and bring God's message of salvation to the lost. Many missionaries have found that a good starting point is to give others a correct understanding of the God of creation Who made heaven and earth and everything in it, and of man whom God created in His own image, but who sinned and needs to be redeemed from sin, death and hell.
May we, who have been saved by grace through faith, make ourselves available to the leading and guidance of the Holy Spirit so that lost sinners may be given the opportunity to hear the gospel and believe, through our ministry. How shall they hear if no one is willing to tell them?
Acts 17:25 Nor is He worshiped with men’s hands, as though He needed anything, since He gives to all life, breath, and all things.
Our United Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for the example of the apostle Paul who spent his life teaching the good news so that men and women would hear the truth of the gospel of grace and be saved. Give us hearts for the lost and help us to meet the people with whom we come in contact, at their point of need. May we present the gospel to them clearly and without hesitation, with love and compassion. Raise up more men and women who will share the good news of the gospel in every nation and city so that many will hear and believe that Jesus died for their sins, that He rose again, and that by faith in Him, their sins are forgiven and eternal life is their portion. In Jesus' name we Pray, AMEN.

For The Benefit Of The Church
Because we are in Christ and have become members of His Body, we have been lavished with all kinds of spiritual blessings, by grace through faith. The sacrificial death of Christ paid the penalty for our sins, but His glorious Resurrection broke the power of sin and death in our lives, we were made a new creation in Christ and given a new life in Him. By His grace we were given His presence, holy life, in the Person of the Holy Spirit. God demonstrated His immeasurable authority and unlimited power when He raised Christ from the dead, and seated Him at His own right hand in glory, far above all principalities and powers, not only in time but throughout eternity. God loved the world so much that He gave His Son to die, but Christ loved the Church so much that He gave Himself for her. God put all things in subjection under His feet and made Him head over all things For The Benefit Of The Church. Christ's headship, in His grace, is being exercised through you and me, by grace through faith we are members of His mystic Body. Ephesians 1:22 And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church,
Our United Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You that the very power that raised Jesus from the dead, is available to all the members of His Body (The CHURCH). Thank You that by His death and Resurrection, Christ has won victory over sin and death for us and for all who trust in His name. Thank You that Christ triumphed over every principality and power and that His victory is not only future but can be accessed today, when we depend on Him and walk by faith. Help us all to live in humble obedience and dependence on Christ so that we may experience His grace and peace in every area of our lives today. In Jesus' name we Pray, AMEN.

We Are Called To Be Faithful Soldiers
We Are Called To Be Faithful Soldiers
https://www.unitedbyprayer.com/.../we-are-called-to-be...
The spread of false doctrine in the Church is likened to a cancer that spreads and infects the physical body, which finally dies. The Church of God, individually and corporately, should rather stand fast on the firm foundation of Christ Jesus our Lord and should shun every kind of evil thought, unkind word, ungracious action, or selfish motive.
We Are Called To Be Faithful Soldiers who obey their commander-in-chief, determined athletes who run with patience the race set before them, industrious farmers who faithfully plant and tend their crops to harvest, diligent workmen who treasure God's Word in their hearts, and strong buildings which stand firm on their immovable foundation, and that Rock is Christ.
God alone knows the thoughts and intentions of every man and woman. He can read the inner thoughts of our hearts and discern our secret motives, and God knows all those that belong to Him.
Everyone who calls themselves Christians, all those who are called by His name, are instructed to abstain from every kind of evil but in Christ's strength, to diligently pursue that which is good while relying in utter dependence upon the Lord.
2 Timothy 2:19 Nevertheless the solid foundation of God stands, having this seal: “The Lord knows those who are His,” and, “Let everyone who names the name of Christ depart from iniquity.”
Our United Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You that You sent the Lord Jesus to be the firm foundation upon which we are to stand. Thank You that we are Your children and that You know everything about us. Help us, we pray, to abstain from every kind of evil, and help us to run the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith. In Jesus' name we Pray, AMEN.

We Are called To Be Servants Of The Lord
We Are called To Be Servants Of The Lord
https://www.unitedbyprayer.com/.../we-are-called-to-be...
We Are called To Be Servants Of The Lord and as such, are not to follow our own wishes but those of Jesus Christ our Savior. As His servants, we are all called to share the truth of the glorious gospel of grace, despite the fact that the life of a believer is far from easy.
Many of those with whom we desire to share the good news of Christ, oppose the Word of God and make it difficult and discouraging for us to share this precious truth.
We are to display the fruit of the spirit in whatever life circumstance we find ourselves to be. It is not sufficient for us to expose error and identify false teachings. We are to be equipped by the Spirit to give wise instruction and biblically based truth to all who oppose us, and to teach that truth in love.
Let all of us who are servants of the Lord Jesus, avoid quarrelsome disputes and not be argumentative in our delivery of the truth. Rather, may we be gentle, gracious, kind-hearted, and patient to everyone, including those who oppose and ridicule us, as we seek to teach the truth in love, to the glory of God.
2 Timothy 2:24 And a servant of the Lord must not quarrel but be gentle to all, able to teach, patient,
Our United Prayer:
Heavenly Father, forgive us for the times when we have been reluctant to share the gospel with those who scoff at Your Word. Forgive us when we have been quarrelsome with those that seem to thrive on arguing with us. Help us to be ready to give answers for the truth of the gospel with patience and in gentleness of spirit. Help us to be led by the Holy Spirit and not by our own emotional reactions. In Jesus' name we Pray, AMEN.

Glorify God
Glorify God
https://www.unitedbyprayer.com/united-by.../glorify-god
Like so many of the psalms that mean so much to God’s children, this is one that outlines the many problems, mountainous difficulties, troublous times, and numerous enemies that were surrounding David on every side. He wrote this psalm when Saul's hatred of him began to be openly displayed, and the bitter-hearted king sought out ways to murder David, who had to flee the country to save his life.
Remembering His past mercies is indeed a wonderful way to remove all the enemies of doubt and fear that trouble our minds and linger in our hearts, and recalling His many precious promises, help to strengthen our faith in God. Like so many of the psalms of David that mean so much to us all, this is a reminder to Glorify God in our darkest days as well as our times of joy. It is a reminder not to allow fear to take root in our heart but to speedily turn the eyes of our hearts to Him.
Let us, with joyful abandon, sing of God’s power and make music in our hearts to Him, as we lift up holy hands to our faithful God and join our voices together in grateful hymns of praise. His mercies are new every morning and His grace is sufficient, no matter what we are going through. Let us sing aloud of His mercy in the morning and reflect on His goodness and grace all day long.
Psalm 59:16 But I will sing of Your power; Yes, I will sing aloud of Your mercy in the morning; For You have been my defense And refuge in the day of my trouble.
Our United Prayer:
Thank You, Father, for the book of Psalms that so often comforts our souls in difficult times and refreshes our hearts in distressing circumstances. Help us to not focus on life's external problems nor the internal doubts that can enter our minds and cause us to fear. Help us, Lord, to bring to mind Your precious promises of refreshment and supply, and to cast all our burdens on You. Praise the Lord our souls and all that is within us praise Your glorious name. In Jesus' name we Pray, AMEN.

Live According To His Will On A Daily Basis

Live According To His Will On A Daily Basis
https://www.unitedbyprayer.com/.../live-according-to-his...
God is outside of time and space while we are bound by His universal laws. God knows the end from the beginning but in His grace, He does not reveal our individual futures. We would not be able to bear the responsibility of knowing all that lies ahead. In His grace, He allows the problems and disappointments of the future to unfold one-by one, day-by-day, knowing that our brief lifespan is like a vapor that appears for a while and then vanishes away, He forwards His eternal plans and purposes, and includes us in His purposes for a brief time before we pass away.
As His children, we should be very careful to Live According To His Will On A Daily Basis and be sure to include Him in our preparations and planning, rather than blithely making arrogant decisions and prideful pronouncements that exclude the Lord from the equation.
May we be keen to go about our daily duties keeping God in the center and Jesus as our focal point. May we remember that none of us stands still in our Christian walk, we either grow in the grace of God and mature in the faith as we submit to God, humble ourselves before Him, seek His face and are led by the Spirit of truth, or we can regress into spiritual infancy through our arrogant behavior and puffed up boastings.
James 4:14 whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away.
Our United Prayer:
Heavenly Father, it is easy to get caught up in the joys and cares of this life. Help us to remember how fragile our lives are and how short our time on earth is, in relation to eternity. Help us to live our lives with eternal perspectives, knowing that You have our lives are in Your hands, and You do know what tomorrow will bring. May we take to heart the words of this precious old poem: "Only one life 'twill soon be past. Only what's done for Christ will last." Thank You, Lord. In Jesus' name we Pray, AMEN.

Let Us Reject Those That Read Their Own Biased Opinions Into God's Word
Let Us Reject Those That Read Their Own Biased Opinions Into God's Word
https://www.unitedbyprayer.com/.../let-us-reject-those...
God knows that a half-truth or part-truth can be equally deceptive as a full-blown lie. Adding to God's Word or removing sections of it can cause greater damage than ignorance of it. This is not only true of the Law of Moses, but is the case for all holy Scripture and we should be diligent to know the truth of God's Word, zealous in maintaining its purity, rigorous in the study of the Scripture, and discerning in its correct interpretation.
Let Us Reject Those That Read Their Own Biased Opinions Into God's Word or try to supplement it with extra-biblical text, dreams, visions, or wild imaginations, which seek to add to God's final revelation, and thus, enlarge the completed principle of Scripture. Let us all seek out men and women of God, who are prepared to teach the whole council of God's Word, literally, historically, dispensational, grammatically, prayerfully, and to teach it in its correct, biblical context.
Let us be like the Bereans of Paul's day, who were nobler than other Christians because they received the Word of God with all readiness of mind, and examined the Scriptures for themselves searching through them every day, to see if what Paul told them was the truth.
Deuteronomy 4:2 You shall not add to the word which I command you, nor take from it, that you may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you.
Our United Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for Your Word and the truths that it contains. Lord, we know that throughout the history of the world, mankind has sought to discredit and distort biblical truth. Give us teachable spirits and help us to read Your Word with wisdom and discernment. Provide teachers who do not distort the inspired text, through their own denominational biases or flawed understanding. Correct any biases we may have, and may Your Holy Spirit protect us from any half-truth or part-truths, that may distort our understanding, and guide us into all truth, we Pray. In Jesus' name, AMEN.

Voluntary Devotion To God
Voluntary Devotion To God
https://www.unitedbyprayer.com/.../voluntary-devotion-to-god
One of the requirements for the Burnt Offering was that the fire which consumed the sacrifice, should be kept burning continually on the sacrificial altar and not be allowed to go out which causes those with an enquiring mind to ask why?
The Burnt Offering was a voluntary act of devotion and dedication to the Lord. It was offered by an individual person or group of people. The significance of the fire which was to be kept burning continually, was a beautiful picture of continual, Voluntary Devotion To God. It portrayed a broken and contrite heart of loving trust that was dedicated to the Lord by the person, or group of people, who gave the offering.
From writings of the past, we understand that the Lord desires mercy from His children and not sacrifice, and this picture of the Burnt Offering shows that the Lord yearns that His children grow in grace and gain a deeper, more intimate knowledge of the Father, and of Jesus Christ Whom He has sent.
May we follow in the steps of our Savior and by the mercies of God, present our bodies and our very lives as living sacrifices, holy and acceptable unto God. This is our reasonable service of thanksgiving and praise to the One Who gave Himself for us. May our lives be our own, personal Burnt Offering to our Father in heaven. May our lives be our own voluntary sacrifice to the Lord Who loved the Church so much that He gave Himself for HER.
Leviticus 6:13 A fire shall always be burning on the altar; it shall never go out.
Our United Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for giving us such an amazing understanding of Who You are and what You desire from Your children. Thank You that Jesus was both the Sin Offering Who paid the price for our sins, but also the Burnt Offering Who willingly gave His life to fulfil Your plans and purposes for the redemption of the world. We pray that we may willingly present our bodies in continual devotion and dedication to You, by giving up ourselves to Your service. This we ask in Jesus' name, AMEN.

The Full And Final Inheritance
The Full And Final Inheritance
https://www.unitedbyprayer.com/.../the-full-and-final...
On the seventh day, amidst His flawless and undefiled creation, God rested from all His work and blessed this holy day and sanctified it. It was God's sabbath. Having completed His work, the Lord ceased from His labor and celebrated His sabbath-rest. But man sinned, the world was cursed, and the icy fingers of death gripped the throat of every living thing. God began to work once again.
The Sabbath-Rest in this verse is looking toward to The Full And Final Inheritance promised to every believer when God's work on His new creation is complete. Old Testament believers and the Christian Church, together with Tribulation saints and those saved in the Millennium, will all be partakers of God's Sabbath-Rest which will be established when Jesus hands over the Kingdom to God the Father, after He has abolished all rule and all authority and power. Christ must reign until He puts all His enemies under His feet, including the last enemy, which is death.
The promised sabbath-rest, and the 'rest' that Christians enjoy through faith in Christ's finished work on Calvary, is a down-payment for the full sabbath-rest in which we will one day participate: "So there remains a sabbath rest for the people of God," in the eternal ages to come.
Hebrews 4:9 There remains therefore a rest for the people of God.
Our United Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for the 'rest' we already have by faith in Christ Jesus and for the full and final sabbath-rest that will one day be ours, when Christ finally defeats every evil principality and power. Thank You that the earthly kingdom which was lost through sin, will be handed back to You, and Your redemptive plan will be completed. Keep us looking to Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith, the Beginning and the End of Your creative work. Thank You in Jesus' name, AMEN.

Refuse To Be Pressured Into Any Form Of Legalistic Practices
Refuse To Be Pressured Into Any Form Of Legalistic Practices
https://www.unitedbyprayer.com/.../refuse-to-be-pressured...
The Person and work of Christ is the heart of the New Testament. We begin our Christian life by getting to know Him as our Savior, but as we grow in grace and deepen our knowledge of Him, we come to know Him better, to love Him more, and to acknowledge Him as our Lord and our God. Hebrews wanted to warn Jewish Christians against returning to the old ways, but it also is an encouragement to all believers to press on to maturity.
As one reads through Hebrews, we see that the author systematically teaches that the old things have passed away and been replaced with the new, through Jesus Christ the righteous Who is a prophet greater than Moses, a High Priest greater than Aaron, and a King of kings greater than David. At His first coming, Jesus came as God's Prophet. When He returns, He will come back as God's anointed King. But today, the Lord Jesus is acting as God's great High Priest Who ever lives to make intercession for all who are His children.
May we heed the warnings within the pages of Hebrews and Refuse To Be Pressured Into Any Form Of Legalistic Practices. Never forget that we are eternally saved and eternally secure in Christ. Our salvation is secure because of what Christ has done and not due to anything that we have or have not done. We are not only SAVED by grace through faith but we are to LIVE every moment of our lives by grace through faith.
Hebrews 10:26 For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins,
Our United Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for sending Your Son, Jesus Christ, to be our Savior and Lord. Thank You that He is our Prophet, Priest, and King, and for the great work He has done for us at Calvary. We confess that we have not always followed Him as we should, but we humbly pray that in Your power, we will live according to His perfect will. Help us to understand more fully the implications of His death and Resurrection in our lives, and we pray that we would come to know His love more deeply and honor Him in all we say and do. Give us strength to press on to maturity and to embrace the new life of righteousness we have in Him. Thank You for all You have done for us. In Jesus' name we Pray, AMEN.

It Is By Faith
It Is By Faith
https://www.unitedbyprayer.com/united-by.../it-is-by-faith
We have all been given the gift of the Holy Spirit of Christ, Who Himself triumphed over every proud principality and power, crushing the head of sin and darkness at the greatest Cross-Road of history. At the Cross of Calvary, our Savior victoriously and irreversibly pronounced: "It is finished!" Victory has been secured and the evil enemy of our soul is already defeated.
Christ's sacrificial death and glorious Resurrection was the pivotal point in history when all who believe in God's only begotten Son became overcomers. God determined that all who believe in Him would become His children and be covered in Christ's righteousness. Faith is the key to being an overcomer, it is by faith that we are saved. It Is By Faith that we overcome.
We are ambassadors of heaven. From the time of our rebirth into the family of God to the return of Christ for His Church, we are pilgrims passing through a world of sin, en-route to our eternal home. The reason we can rejoice is that as children of God we have overcome the enemy of our soul through faith, because greater is the Holy Spirit of God who dwells in our mortal frame and empowers us with His grace and sufficient strength. Greater is He than the defeated enemy of our soul who is in the world.
The Spirit of God has taken up permanent residence in the hearts of all His children and we have become the dwelling-place of the all-powerful, all-mighty, all-knowing, all-gracious God. We can truly rejoice that we are from God and have overcome the enemy.
1 John 4:4 You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.
Our United Prayer:
Thank You, Father, that we are Your children, and thank You for the wonderful gift of Your Holy Spirit, Who is living within our bodies to lead and guide and protect us. Thank You that no power in heaven or hell can match His greatness. Thank You that by faith in Christ, we have overcome the enemies that seek our downfall and the downfall of those we love. Help us to withstand all forms of evil and to submit to You in all things. Give us the wisdom to resist Satan's wiles, and flood our hearts with Your perfect peace that passes understanding. Help us, Lord, to listen more earnestly to Your still, small voice, and to remember that greater is HE that is living in us than the defeated enemy that is in the world. This we ask in Jesus' name, AMEN.

Our Steps Are Established By Him
Our Steps Are Established By Him
https://www.unitedbyprayer.com/.../our-steps-are...
Though we have been eternally saved by grace through faith in Christ, and though we have been eternally freed from slavery to sin and severed from the old sin nature, attacks from without and failures from within can cause every one of us to stumble and fall.
When we have been eternally saved by grace through faith, our steps are ordered and established by God our Savior Who is our heavenly intercessor. Though there are times when we will fall into sin, our heavenly Redeemer has promised that we will not be overwhelmed (by the sin we commit, nor the grief that may follow), He has promised to hold us steady and to order our steps. Our Heavenly Father takes pleasure in each of His children, and is intimately concerned and involved in each of our lives.
Let us enjoy ourselves in the Lord, trust Him implicitly, and commit our ways to Him entirely. Our Steps Are Established By Him and though we may stumble, we will not be overwhelmed. The Lord our God is with us and He has promised to hold our hand every step in our lives.
Psalm 37:24 Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down; For the LORD upholds him with His hand.
Our United Prayer:
Thank You, Lord, that You are holding us steady in Your hand. Keep us from falling, we pray, and establish our goings out and our comings in, from this time forth and even forevermore. In Jesus' name we Pray, AMEN.

Let Us Yield To The Spirit Of Christ
Let Us Yield To The Spirit Of Christ
https://www.unitedbyprayer.com/.../let-us-yield-to-the...
Before we were saved, we had one single, sinful nature, the 'in-Adam' fleshly nature which is at enmity with God. But at our rebirth, we received a new, second godly nature, the 'born again' spirit of man. We were given a new 'in-Christ' spiritual nature that is eternally united with our Savior, at peace with God, and clothed in the righteousness of Christ so that we may not do the things that we please.
But from the moment that we became a Christian, the old fleshly nature started to conflict with our new Christ-like spiritual nature, for the flesh lusts against the spirit, and our new spiritual born-again Christ-nature lusts against the old fleshly nature within.
Instead of removing our old Adamic 'flesh', God in His grace came to dwell in our mortal frame. Although our 'fleshly' nature will continue to be in opposition to our new human 'spirit' during our journey through life, we are instructed to yield to the Holy Spirit of God: "For greater is He that is in us that he that is in the world."
When yielded to the Holy Spirit, our human spirit will grow in grace. It will mature and ripen through the work of the Holy Spirit.
Let Us Yield To The Spirit Of Christ so that we may not do the things desired by the flesh, but be increasingly transformed into the person that God wants us to be.
Galatians 5:17 For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish.
Our United Prayer:
Heavenly Father, we know that we are weak and that our fleshly nature lusts against the new Christ-like nature that we received as a free gift of grace, when we first trusted Christ as Saviors. We pray that we would make the right choices and not yield to the old sin nature but submit to the leading and guiding of the Holy Spirit within. Help us to grow in grace and mature in the faith, to Your praise and glory. In Jesus' name we Pray, AMEN.

There Will Be Peace On Earth, And Goodwill To All
There Will Be Peace On Earth, And Goodwill To All
https://www.unitedbyprayer.com/.../there-will-be-peace-on...
As members of the Church, we are watching and waiting for Christ to return to take His redeemed saints to heaven which will happen at least seven years before He breaks through the clouds, riding a white horse, with his vestments dripping with the blood of His defeated enemies. On that day, every eye will see Him and every tongue will confess Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
Today, the members of Christ's Body are a spiritual Temple whom the Lord is using to forward His redemptive plans and purposes. We are reminded by Paul that our body is a temple of the Holy Spirit Who is in us. The Church today is the Temple of God, made from living stone, and the Spirit of God dwells in our mortal bodies. We have this treasure in clay vessels, so that the exceeding greatness of the power may be of God and not from ourselves.
However, a day is coming when Christ will return in power and great glory and enter the future, Millennial Temple, when the latter glory of God's House will be greater than the former, There Will Be Peace On Earth, And Goodwill To All.
Haggai 2:9 ‘The glory of this latter temple shall be greater than the former,’ says the LORD of hosts. ‘And in this place I will give peace,’ says the LORD of hosts.”
Our United Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You that You are in control of history and that the day is coming when Christ will return to earth in power and great glory to set up His kingdom, rebuild His Temple, and bring peace and prosperity to all. Thank You that during this Church age, while Israel has been set aside for a season, You are using the Church as a living Temple and have commissioned the Body of Christ to be Your ministers of reconciliation. Thank You that Your plan of redemption continues to unfold, and that the day is coming when Christ will rule and reign and the earth will be filled with the glory of God as the waters cover the sea. Praise Your holy name! AMEN.
