                                                     biography tw: abuse  Andromeda Black was the middle child of the original Black family. As the middle child, she didn’t receive as much attention as Bellatrix and definitely not as much as the perfect baby, Narcissa. Her parents didn’t care to listen to what Andromeda had to say, but they did care about what she did. They didn’t want her to bring embarrassment onto the family, didn’t want her to soil the Black name. 

She learned very quickly, that her parents were not very nice people. They were judgmental, rude and generally looked down on others. They had been one of the longest lineage of Haworth, and they thought that meant something. To Andromeda, it meant nothing. She cared not for traditions or appearances and she wanted to go to concerts and play guitar and smoke cigarettes. She was cold and cruel in her defiance and oft made her mother cry and scream from frustration. Her father never paid any attention to her, barely acted like she existed. No one ever listened to her reasons, her feelings, or anything she had to say. Bellatrix made fun of her and fought with her, and Narcissa pitied and looked down on her. 

Her mother would shove soap in her mouth when she was too outspoken, too filthy. She would smack her when she disobeyed, or went against her mother’s wishes. She was locked in her room with no food if she didn’t do what she was told, and that was a lot. She learned to adapt to these situations, though. With every soap in her mouth, she’d start screaming until her mother couldn’t take it anymore and locked her in her room instead. She learned to sneak out, broke the screen out of her window. 

Andromeda would leave little trinkets for her mother, just to remind her that she was there and she would make her mother as miserable as her. She’d leave dead mice in the cupboards and leave spiders in the cups. She’d hide rotten food in the fridge and frogs in her bed. She would tape cut and paste notes on her mother’s windshield, some that went so far to say, “better watch out wicked witch, i think there’s a storm raging and fortunately for me, a house will come and crush you. the worms are hungry, now.” 

She has scars from cigarette burns, from getting pushed into mirrors and sharp glass doors. Andromeda never once backed down to her parents will, no matter how hard they bent and broke her. She would spit blood out of her mouth and say, “again”. 

Once she made it into university, she was able to escape from her nasty home life. She never steps foot onto the street her house stays on. She took classes her parents wouldn’t have ever allowed, and she became friends with people her parents would never had approved of. She did whatever she could to still rebel against parents that didn’t even care about her anymore, who acted like she didn’t exist. The last thing she saw before she left was her mother scribble out her name from their lineage book. Her picture was ripped out and burned. 

She tries to live happily now, but her scars and trauma still haunt her. Andromeda doesn’t know how to live without rebelling, without being paranoid that someone is trying to hurt her. She’s never breathed a word of her abuse or her insane family, as her life was threatened many times if she ever told a soul. A constant replay of what her father said to her before she left was, “it’s not like anyone would believe you anyway.” It’s a haunting reminder to Andromeda.

                                                     personality Andromeda is the black sheep of her family. She doesn’t care about traditions, and she sure as hell doesn’t care about keeping up appearances. She is who she wants to be and she will not be caged. She is incredibly defiant and tends to do the opposite of what people want her to do. She doesn’t know any other way then this. She’s observant and incredibly shrewd. She has constant paranoia that someone is trying to fuck her over. 

She doesn’t talk a lot, and tends to stay away from drama and problematic people. From years of neglect and abuse, it’s ingrained in her brain that no one cares what she says. She has trouble making friends, and usually comes off a bit cold and defensive. Andromeda keeps walls up, to protect herself. bellatrix black & narcissa black ↪  andromeda is the middle child of the black sisters. she’s also the most defiant. she doesn’t get along with bellatrix all that much, but gets along with narcissa a bit better. she’s the black sheep of the family. 

ted tonks ↪ andromeda is good friends with him. they met in first year and have had a few classes together. her family doesn’t like him, as he  has no roots in haworth but andromeda thinks he’s quite friendly and might be the only one who actually listens to her.

sirius black ↪ sirius was the only cousin that andromeda could stand. they were alike, both outcasts and disobedient. sirius had always been too goofy and aggressive for andromeda, though. she loved him, just from a distance.

 isabella wilkes & ariadne zabini ↪ andromeda’s unlikely best friends, who sometimes get on her nerves. even though ariadne comes from one of the original families, she is quite open minded and intelligent. isabella fits in with them quite well, even though she’s new.

         sirius black \ male \ twenty \ second year student \ gryffindor

                                                      biography tw: abuse Sirius grew up in the original Black family, one that was very well known, religious and was secretly messed up. He had unnecessary pressures growing up - having to be proper, don’t make any mistakes, speak only when spoken to, and many other rules. All Sirius wanted to do was be a kid, and he was reprimanded for it. He never understood why, and was constantly trying to figure out why his parents thought he was so problematic. What was wrong with him? Why was he always making mistakes, why was he always wrong? 

Coming from a religious family, all that “jesus-crap” was shoved down his throat from a young age. His parents wanted him to be religious as they were, but shoving it down his throat made him want to retreat more. The more they tried, the more he pushed against it, and the more he was punished for it. If he spoke out of turn against his parents, he would get smacked in the face. Sometimes his cheek would be red and stinging by the time he went to bed at night. His parents said they did this all in the name of the lord, to try to sort him out. He still didn’t understand what it was he was saying, that his parents thought was so bad. He was only a child, his mind was always racing and curious.

The older Sirius became, the more curious and rebellious he was. He was always arguing with his parents and causing much drama in his family. Sirius realized that nothing was ever wrong with him, it was his parents. They had this twisted idea of what was wrong and what wasn’t. Sirius ended up figuring out that not only were his parents very religious, they were in some weird religious cult. Disgusted, he tried even harder to rebel. He just wanted to be free of all the rules and away from their authority and abuse - which got worse as he aged. His father would beat him and when Sirius got in into his teen years, he gave as good as he got. He made sure he wasn’t the only one leaving with a bruised eye and a bloody lip. Of course, they’d lock him in his room without food as punishment. He learned to sneak out, though. 

While he snuck out, he had come to befriend a set of boys who were just as chaotic and troublesome as he was. James Potter, Remus Lupin, and Peter Pettigrew created a turning point in Sirius’s life. He no longer wanted to disappear or run away. He just wanted to get out of his parent’s house so he could go move in with the Potter’s and hang out with all his friends. They gave him what he had always wanted, to be free and to be a kid and in return he gave them his loyalty and endless jokes. 

After he became good friends with James, he went to the Potter’s house constantly. They treated him with kindness and respect and Sirius even thought they loved him like their own son. James made him feel like a brother, which Regulus couldn’t do - or wouldn’t do, Sirius never knew which. He would stay days on end at the Potter’s, afraid to return home, but he always had to leave. He was afraid what his family would do if they figured out the Potter’s had been harboring their evil and corrupt son. He would show up in his bedroom, his parents would interrogate where he had gone and he would say, “why i’ve been in bed all day. what possibly could you mean?” in a very mocking tone and would get beat for good measure.

Once he turned sixteen, his father dragged him to their religious cult’s meeting place and threatened to kill him if he didn’t take the oath. Sirius had seriously considered about getting murdered instead of getting indoctrinated, but in the end he gave in. He had thought about his friends he had made during his little trysts when he snuck out. How he had come to know James and his mischievousness that matched his own, and the Potter family that accepted him as he was. He thought of Remus and their quiet, heart to heart moments. He thought of Peter and their stupid, calming gardening memories. 

Ever since then, he walked on thin ice at home. When he turned seventeen, he broke that ice when he wouldn’t do what was asked of him by the cult. His father, was furious and his mother was disgusted with him. After returning home, he began packing all his belongings and had decided to leave, then and there. What they asked of him was too evil, and he wouldn’t ever do it. When his father walked in on him packing, in Sirius’s words, “my father tried to kill me that night.” He was called many names that night, and as Sirius managed to scramble away from his dad and out into the hallway, towards freedom. He could hear his father screaming after him. “If you tell anyone about anything, I’ll kill you. You know I’ll kill you.” 

He hasn’t spoken to his family for a three years now, and barely contacts Regulus. He moved in with the Potter’s and they’ve been taking care of him ever since. He never had to utter a word about what happened to him, as the Potter’s already suspected and never pushed him to tell. He didn’t want to tell, his father’s threat still lingering in his mind. Years of abuse have scarred Sirius, though. He’s always on the defensive and sometimes flinches away when someone raises their hands. Any little thing can set Sirius off and be ready to fight.

                                                      personality Sirius is a very rebellious and fierce hearted man. He speaks his mind and doesn’t have a filter. He is always causing mischief and loves to pull pranks on others. He’s reckless, impulsive, and incredibly funny. Deep under all those layers, he’s just a sad and defensive kid. Years of abuse have scarred Sirius, though. He’s always on the defensive and sometimes flinches away when someone raises their hands. Any little thing can set Sirius off and be ready to fight.  

He can be a big bully, especially when he’s with James. Sirius is good at creating fights and causing unnecessary drama. He has a filthy mouth and if you get on his bad side, you better be careful. Even so, Sirius loves with his whole heart and takes care of those he respects and cares for. james potter, remus lupin & peter pettigrew ↪  sirius has known these guys for as long as he can remember. they all decided to go to the same school together and luckily they all managed to get in. they’re his best friends and the ones he gets into trouble with.

regulus black ↪ regulus is sirius’s younger brother. although they don’t speak much, and are very different, sirius still loves him. he wishes regulus wouldn’t have been so scared and obedient to their crazy parents. he had also envied him as they grew up, wondered why regulus somehow was born perfect and sirius was cursed.

marlene mckinnon ↪ sirius has been friends with her since running into her in his first year at university. he enjoys teasing her and making her laugh. he thinks she is quite radiant and enjoys her conversations.

antonin dolohov & evan rosier  ↪ sirius hates these two with a passion. whenever he sees them he can’t help but get riled up and attack. usually he only verbally attacks them, but has at times gotten physical.

          emma vanity \ female \ eighteen \ first year student \ slytherin

                                                    biography Emma Vanity grew up as an only child. She was quick to learn that she must behave and keep to her manners if she wanted to do anything. Her parents wanted her to be a prim and proper girl, to not bring any embarrassment or shame unto their family name. As a child, if she made any mistakes, they would lock her in her room for hours on end to punish her. With this burden on her shoulders, she became the quiet and reserved girl as to not make any mistakes that could affect her family - well, her parents. She was afraid of what they might do if she ever did anything wrong, since she had been locked one too many times in her room as a child. 

Her parents kept her on a string throughout her childhood. You can only talk with these certain people, can only go to these certain places, can only have these certain items. To keep her as sheltered as possible, they fenced in their own home and hired a teacher to come everyday. She rarely saw other children, or even the world beyond her home. She was caged by her own parents, and she’s always wished that she could be free. She still loves them, though, they are her parents after all. She’s conflicted a lot.

Being from an original family, her parents dabbled in all sorts of shady businesses and Emma never really knew where they got all their wealth from. She suspected it was some sort of drug business as she would listen in on conversations her father had, when she was a child. She inquired further though, always kept quiet and stayed in her lane. She did this all throughout her life, never stepping one foot out of place. She was an obedient daughter, and an a very bright student. Her parents sent her off to Hogwarts University, so she could stay near them and they could keep an eye on her. 

Emma was thrilled at finally being able to go to Hogwarts University, and to be able to major in film production. Her dream was to be able to create movies that everyone would love. She was also both excited and scared to finally meet new people that weren’t the Black’s or the Lestrange’s. She joined the women’s football field in school, and fell in love with it. She easily became the captain of the football team and has started to wonder if she would rather go into professional football playing. 

As she has been getting into college life and being an adult, she has been very close to stepping off her lane and finally doing what she wants to do. She’s still scared of her parents, but she wants to live her life. 

                                                       personality Emma is very quiet and reserved. She doesn’t let anyone get too close to her, even if they are close friends. She always has a wall around her, her own little bubble. She also can get very rude if someone tries to get into her business, and she will retreat if they ask for too much of her. She’s very creative as she loves to create all types of short videos. 

She is scared a lot, and tends to be a coward at times. Emma can also be selfish and ignorant when it comes to the world, as her parents have overlooked her entire life and controlled what she did and what she saw.  skills: art, video production, football, piano, photography. interests:movie making, cinematography, football. dreams: a movie director or a professional football player.

narcissa black ↪  emma and narcissa knew each other since they were children. narcissa was the only black child that emma could tolerate. since she wasn’t able to see a lot of children, narcissa was the only kid that emma had as a friend most of her life. 

augustus rookwood & igor karkoff ↪ when emma arrived to the university, these two boys instantly took a liking to teasing and messing with her. why? she has no idea, nor will they tell her when she asks why. they just laugh at her. these two know how to infuriate her, but also make her laugh. 

kingsley shacklebolt & pandora lovegood ↪ emma met these two in university and they all became good friends. she’s still wary around them, and knows her parents would not approve of her friendship with them. she tries to keep their friendship a secret, and doesn’t let them get too close to her.
