Our city's trans community is going to be receiving a trans lesbian couple fleeing from a state not safe for trans people. Our community is pooling what we can but we could use help providing food and shelter to our sisters while they look for income and a place to rent. Any amount at all would be greatly appreciated. It is so important to me to keep talking about the efforts of the armed resistance because they make Israel's claim of total control and total stability and the inevitability that Israel wants to break the spirits of the Palestinian people a fucking joke. These people are running on foot to stick explosives under 10 million dollar tanks and doing so successfully. They killed the commander that led the first raid on Al Shifa hospital by sniper shot while he was chit chatting with other IOF, assumedly safe in the North. A coalition of resistance groups watched the sun rise on Tel Aviv retreating from Jenin, a refugee camp with at least 15 entrances that Israel has treated as a punching bag. These victories matter. They show us that Israel bleeds and IS bleeding.

Today is Armenian genocide remembrance day. On april 24, 1915 started mass deportations of hundreds of Armenian intelectuals and community leaders, who were (most of the time) eventually killed. Armenian women and children were systematically r//ed and forcibly converted into islam. There were more than 2 milion Armenians in ottoman empire prior to ww1, 1,5 milion of them were viciously killed. Three millennia of Armenian civilaziation in eastern Anatolis was fully destroyed. Turkey today refuses to acknowledge genocides of christian minorities in early 20th century.

Last year in september azerbaijan allied with turkey initiated a war against Armenia. More that 5000 Armenians were murdered, thousands of Armenia families had to live their ancestrial land to not get murdered. There are hundreds of vids on internet where armenian p.o.w.s are tortured. Recently azerbaijan opened a "museum" displayind dead or dying Armenians and kids were allowed to visit it.

NOW HOW TO SURVIVE A HEART ATTACK WHEN ALONE… Since many people are alone when they suffer a heart attack, without help, the person whose heart is beating improperly and who begins to feel faint, has only about 10 seconds left before losing consciousness. However, these victims can help themselves by coughing repeatedly and very vigorously. A deep breath should be taken before each cough, and the cough must be deep and prolonged, as when producing sputum from deep inside the chest. A breath and a cough must be repeated about every two seconds without let-up until help arrives, or until the heart is felt to be beating normally again. Deep breaths get oxygen into the lungs and coughing movements squeeze the heart and keep the blood circulating. The squeezing pressure on the heart also helps it regain normal rhythm. In this way, heart attack victims can perhaps buy precious time to get themselves to a phone and dial 911. No one is discrediting the student protests. I myself am a student who is partaking in largely student-coordinated protests, drives, campaigns… but I also understand that we are largely missing the point if coverage of these protests overshadows what they are actually protesting for—the atrocities committed on Palestinians every single day. As the western buzz around this genocide gets more and more coverage, the coverage of the genocide itself sharply declines. It’s true and I see it every single day. Things are not being reported with the precision and diligence with which they should be.

it's very weird there's this idea that society cares about women who are abused when we constantly witness the exact opposite every time there's a high profile abuse case. there were people blaming the pregnant wife of chris watts for killing her and their children. there were men defending a guy on tiktok who brutally murdered his girlfriend after accusing her of cheating. like these are fucking MURDER cases where women are still victim blamed ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME?

so where did the idea of society caring about abused women come from if it's so far removed from reality? copaganda? it confuses me especially as a woman who was failed by the justice system when facing a literal child abuser and serial rapist.
