thinking abt sera and how she was literally raised to have zero regard for her own life... like that’s just so deeply sad. the way i interpreted certain scenes in asite is nyktos being far angrier at that lack of regard she has than anything and yet she’s incapable of comprehending that. she’s incapable of really truly having the realisation that ppl might care about her well-being, safety and happiness. sera was raised as a weapon and it’s that entire thing about weapons not weeping. 

except, sera’s not just a weapon she’s a tool. that’s it. she’s got to unlearn an entire lifetime of a duty revolving around her own death. sera was raised to die. she was the sacrificial lamb.
