Maybe not necessarily an unpopular opinion, but:
Me on one of my RP group admin blogs responding to someone’s question as to why Connie Watson from the Nancy Drew games was better in the original Secrets Can Kill than the remake of the game.
This is totally true. I try to stay away from SCK2 as much as possible, but I don’t remember it mentioning the whole prize money discrepancy issue. Connie is a super feminist character, which could be part of the reason why HeR chose the Secrets Can Kill book to be the basis for the first game - after all, they first started to make the series do to the sexist nature of the gaming industry and the lack of decent games for girls. So yeah it’s sad to see the best parts of Connie not explored in SCK2
