hands down the funniest part of V-Rising is that no one likes the male body build but the devs havent once even hinted at changing it and i think thats because of a commitment to the bit

One of the funniest parts of playing MH is realizing most people play a weapon or two and act like experts in every weapon, I lack the seniority to say this most likely but a lot of you lied so much about the Longsword versus every other weapon, I know I was intentionally pulling aggro but like... Sword and Shield has access to its highest burst damage combo out of a special backstep with a billion i-frames, Heavy Bowgun explodes monsters before they can do a thing with a combination of sticky and special funny ammo to stunlock them until the cows come back home, Dual Blades has an incredibly convenient button to Not Be There which also combos into its tenderize combo that bypasses its need to otherwise claw twice into body part, Lance is fucked up aggressive and can keep up the offensive basically 95% of the fight thanks to its strong defense, multiple counters (multi hit block and counters with attack buffs, too!) and simple moveset, Gunlance (which I play) being very similar with a lot of control on commitment vs action, allowing it to be extremely safe and damaging in practically every context that doesn't need it to actively pursue a monster...
I think you guys just didn't like being tripped. Which is like, fair, Longsword player in co-op ought to not be fishing counters and instead should be working the tail so other people can be at the head and flanks and everything, and a greedy Longsword player is frustrating, but that was all you had to say, you didn't like being tripped. You didn't like having to slot Flinch Free just to make up for a gorilla but that's about it. Calm down, Karen.

Side by side comparison screenshots. If you're like me and you were unhappy with how washed-out Wilds looks, lowering the game's brightness setting can make a significant difference.
On the left is recommended/default brightness, set to 10. On the right is brightness set to 2.
