God, I WISH this would take Fox News down. Cut off the head of that damn snake.
A judge ruling in favor of a billion-dollar defamation lawsuit moving forward signals the possibility of looming financial woes for Rupert Murdoch's Fox News. According to The Guardian, Delaware Supreme Court Judge Eric David in June ruled that Dominion Voting Systems could proceed with its defamation lawsuit against Fox News and its parent company, Fox Corporation.
The lawsuit is a legal pushback against Fox News' reporting and perpetuation of voter fraud and election misinformation following the 2020 presidential election.
Per The Guardian, David determined "that it was a reasonable inference that Murdoch and son Lachlan either knew outright that Dominion had not manipulated the election or 'recklessly disregarded the truth' when Fox disseminated lies initially launched by Donald Trump."

The go-to notion that “Democrats have endangered your family” in every international moment from Vietnam to 9/11 is not about altering Democratic foreign policy or improving our national security; it is about peeling off White, working-class (and lately, Hispanic working-class) voters and turning them into reliable Republicans. The idea that Democrats are overcommitted to diplomacy and international institutions became standard GOP messaging long ago. Democrats haven’t sorted out a simple reality yet; the GOP will soon try to flank Biden on Ukraine. Some, like Sen. Rick Scott (R-Fla.), will try to box him in on a no-fly zone — ignoring the negative externality of a nuclear exchange — while others will push him further than he wants on lethal aid to Ukraine. Win or lose, the GOP will declare that Biden blew his main chance. Even many sober foreign policy thinkers in the GOP will try to leverage Democratic “weakness” in Ukraine in the 2022 elections. But let’s also be honest about the landscape: A not-so-secret faction of the GOP is rooting for the bad guys in this one. We’ve already heard that from the Madison Cawthorn (R-N.C.) wing of the party. Many Republican base voters are dictator-curious and believe Russian President Vladimir Putin is the savior of White, straight, law-and-order Christianity; the virus of Trumpian hyper-nationalism, with its constant call to reject alliances, diplomacy, smart power and multilateral action, has deeply infected the GOP.
Rick Wilson: The GOP is about to come after Biden on Ukraine
Rick Wilson is an asshole. Before I left Twitter, I posted something about the NRA bearing some responsibility for yet another mass shooting, and he put me on blast. For days. He’s just absolute fucking garbage. A tremendously bad person.
But holy shit is he right about how Republicans fool voters and how Democrats let them do it.
He appears to have had a conversion. Good for him, if it’s real. If I ever encounter him, it would be great if he was like “hey, sorry about that time I was a giant asshole to you and made your life miserable for a few days,” but I’m not holding my breath. Anyway, everyone who cares about stopping Fascism from engulfing America should listen to him, and heed his advice.
He knows the enemy from the inside, and ignoring his voice of experience is … well, it’s exactly what I expect from a party that coddles Joe Manchin.

There are instances where CGI ages gracefully, and I think the best examples are stylized 2D animation from the 2000’s or so.
Go rewatch Invader Zim. The show still looks shockingly good for being 20 years old, and none of the CGI looks dated, because it’s stylized to fit the look of the show.

This is less a defense of CGI and more a defense of bringing back computer-assisted 2D animation.

People keep searching for ways to argue that JK Rowling has always been a horrible person deep down as a way of explaining her recent behaviour.
But here’s the thing: that’s probably not true at all.
Pretending it is discounts the harsher, scarier truth: that even decent, well-meaning people can be radicalised by dangerous, hateful, predatory groups, and given enough time they can become truly hideous versions of their former selves.
It can happen to me. It can happen to you. It can happen to any of us, given the right mix of circumstances. And over the past few years, we’ve seen it happen to one of the most famous children’s authors of our age.
Nobody is immune.
