for the headcanon ask: minthara's relationship with galatea headcanon

(you can read more about these two here, btw)

I saw somewhere on the internet someone talking about minthara among the lines of "When she prayed, none of the gods answered, so she devouted herself to the person who did" and that's lowkey the vibe of their relationship, just do everything for the other.

One day, Galatea walks in Minthara's tent and she's a piece of paper that stands out to her. She thought nothing of it first, but after she noticed a few familiar names, she grabbed it and realized it was a kill list. Which included the names of her grandmother, her parents (with a question mark to the side) and shadow man.

Galatea confronts Minthara about it, and Minthara's reasoning is that her family treated her poorly and they shouldn't get to live long because of that, and also, with them gone, Galatea would take the inherentence since she's the oldest child. Shadow man is also included because give it or take, he's the reason why her family were so shitty to her. But really the crux of it is that Minthara just won't stand for people mistreating her lover.

And sure, hearing your lover say how they would kill your family is fucked, but their relationship can be very well summed up to 'they make each other better AND worse' so Galatea is actually like...really touched by this? so she cries and when Minthara questions it, she says it's because no one had ever cared about her like this before

Yo, how about a ‘Jewellery’ and a ‘Soft Spot’ headcanon for Galatea :)

Jewellry

Coming from nobility, Galatea, back at her homeland, had a small collection of necklaces, rings, earrings beffiting the daughter of a noble house. Her particular favorites were the ones that had sapphires or other blue gems, and moonstones. When she was kicked out left, she only had one piece of jewellery with her, which was her family's signet ring. During the events of the game, she liked keeping some of the jewellery the party would find in loot and other stuff, even thought she sold the majority of it when they needed money. After her sister Briseidas is killed, Galatea threw the signet ring in the river.

Soft Spot

Shovel. Galatea doesn't know how to explain but she just loves Shovel so much, to the point where, if someone is nice to Shovel or saves Shovel in battle, they'll get some cookie points with Galatea. She takes the cheeky quasit everywhere, and will care about her wellbeing during battle. Shovel can fuck up and Galatea will find some excuse for it; Essentially, Shovel's her daughter, she'll even go as far as leave Shovel with only trusted people if the battle ahead is too difficult cause anyone else can die, but gods forbid Shovel does.
