I'm on like episode 7 of 9-1-1 season 1 so here's my thoughts so far

Abby - I know what she does in the later seasons but as far right now I find it really hard to hate her. TMI, but when my mom nearly died last year I became her primary caregiver at like 16 cause both my older siblings had lives to live (not their fault it's to long to explain) and I guess I can understand the way it completely takes over your life, the fear, the exhaustion and mostly the love you have for this person and how much you want to keep them. I get her I guess but we'll see.

Evan - I shall call him Evan until Buck 2.0 appears him refusing to take the dying pregnant teenager in the ambulance in the first episode pissed me to no ends but outside of that he's a good at his job and genuinely cares. He's also really good to Abby. I know he's gonna grow on me in the future seasons. Also pray he leaves that frat house. He's 26 let him love himself 🙏🏾

Hen - Love her to bits, great character obviously cares but she needs to run from her ex-wife before she destroys her marriage. It is never good to keep in contact with an ex you obviously still having feelings for or towards and who has made it clear that they want you back. This is 4th black lesbian character (yes I'm collecting them like pokemon)

Athena - Another great character, a badass and her staying on Buck's neck gives me such joy. The marriage plot is interesting but I want more for her BUT and this is a big one I will always despise the "cop goes against the law and takes justice into their own hands" storyline I really don't give a shit if it's justified. It's just watching pretending police do shit that would get the average person a) fired from their job b) sent to prison and/or c) killed, if theirs one thing shows mirror absolutely perfectly of real if the absolute lack of accountability the police face 🙃

Bobby - Bobby storyline absolutely killed me, the book, the fire the little "help", just everything about it was so sad and well done. Can they please give this man a break I'm begging

Chimney - yeah can they give him a proper storyline. All I know about him is that he was to get married and rod went through (WHICH WE DIDN'T EVEN GET TI SEE HIS FEELINGS ABOUT OR HIS RECOVERY) like a single storyline, I'm begging

while we wait for druck to do something I see quite a few people saying that they'd hope that Druck will eventually lose the slam format for a season i.e hell week 3, 5, 7 & main couple gets together and breaks up

I think next season with Ava (manifestation here) will be the perfect time to do this, we already know Ava is slow to trust and is extremely skeptical due to truama and the only reason she kept Marc around was as a distraction with no real emotions or investment in the relationship.

A ten week long slow burn with her love interest would make sense for her, the conflicts in her life would affect the relationship instead of the relationship being a conflict itself.

It would all end with Ava moving forward understanding that you have to trust the people in your life sometimes and not everything is black and white. That your people will stick by your side and won't (intentionally) hurt you.

druck did a bait & switch and I'm giggling, honestly one of the best things to happen all season

since the texts came out, I can now fully say today's clip was unnecessary. Not an indication of a terrible season or even bad writing, just unnecessary. Instead of having Kieu My Vu mock Fatou they simply could've had Fatou try to go up to her and Kieu My Vu avoid her which would've given her the Ice Queen is back thing without the other unnecessary bs.

It would've then held the perfect opening for Fatou to do some grand gesture to get Kieu My Vu to talk to her and sort out their problems.

I see some people speculating that it may be for Ava but that just doesn't make sense from the tone of the chat (it being referred to as romantic & Nora wishing that it was something that Josh, her boyfriend, would do for her)

It does piss me off that Druck has chosen not to deal with Ava & Fatou conflict this week, as not only, is she missing important things but the girls are actively leaving her out by creating another gc, all while she gets demonized for not being there.

The one saving grace is that it makes me even more certain that s7 is Ava's as we'll probably see some version of the torch being passed through their reconcilation.

People were really on Ava's ass for not being there (when she didn't even know), when she wasn't even in the city l, I have to laugh

the minute the druck fandom accepts the over arching problem that Ava & Fatou have, i.e. the instas will not be resolved this season...I shall know peace.

like with way druck is moving with pushing out the seasons whatever fragile peace happens in the next 9 days, could literally be undone in a month or two, cause this major conflict is so obviously not getting resolved this season even if by some miracle Kieu My Vu, Ismail & Constantine all decide apologise next Friday.

It's the end of the season so I might as well now but the druck fandom kind of has a lesbiphobia problem it began with *some* of y'all refusing to call Fatou a lesbian in s5 cause you didn't want to "label her" even though you immediately called Kieu My Vu bisexual (even before it was confirmed) and have been saying that Ismail is non-binary and gay for nearly two seasons even though neither of those things are canon.

It's now y'all calling Fatou predatory for want to hold her gf even though it's been shown over and over again since s5 that her love language is physical touch. Literally just look for gifs with her and the girls in season 5.

I've said this before but y'all gotta stop projecting onto these girls, Kieu My has a thing about being about being objectified. It doesn't make Fatou a predator for being sexually attracted to her or wanting physical touch. It's just bad experiences that Kieu My has to work through and Fatou has to accommodate (which she has done repeatedly)

We've got two weeks left can we please tone it down.
