house of the dragon had no right to be this good. the moment where viresys entered the iron throne to support rhaenyra’s claim is outstanding. the music, the acting, the tension, the agony. it deserves all the awards in the world. and paddy deserves the praise.

This episode was INSANE. But I’m starting off by applauding Paddy Considine because I’m definitely going to be missing his performance as Viserys. I was hoping he’d stick by for the next two episodes, but who are we kidding? The dude was hanging on by a VERY THIN thread.

An outstanding performance that will be missed!

Then here comes the other moments of the episode that stood out:

Daemon being the OG that he is because:

- He speaks up about the way his brother is treated, even while ill.

- He HELPS his brother onto the throne, then crowns him.

- He slits Vaemond’s head after talking shit about Rhaenyra.

- He stares down Aemond making him realize the child that he is.

Rhaenyra working hard, left and right, just to protect her family and then crying her eyes out with her dad - yeah, I wanted to die for her.

Alicent softening up and turning to religion because of what she did to Rhaenyra. Then proceeding to misinterpret Viserys in his last moments and plot against Rhaenyra in the next episode got me BAMBOOZLED.

Rhaenys having to deal with everyone’s claim to the throne, but where’s HER claim???

Lucerys being a little shit, but Aemond being the bigger shit.

Aegon just being a depressed, cheating, bastard.

Jacaerys being a protective brother, future husband, and son - *chef’s kiss*

Baela, Rhaena, and Helaena being unproblematic and beautiful queens who do not deserve to be in all this drama.

Let us all remember though that this was the last moment of “happiness” and now the dance begins. *cue the dread*
