For the consideration of JATP Tumblr. Hot take. Going the extra mile to defend Carrie and her actions towards Julie comes a little bit from how used to we are of seeing white characters (the rude ones especially) get redemption arcs almost all the time. We see Carrie's being mean and spiteful all of season 1 and there are already a shit ton of fanfics giving her redemption. A white character that stays bad 99% of the time does not sit right by the audience. More people need to hold Carrie accountable. I'm not saying she's a bad person I'm saying she needs to be held accountable. Don't let her get off so easy.

If Carrie had been a poc character will the treatment of her be the same?
