What are the times where Annabeth is shown to be so prideful that it actually gets her in trouble? That can't be said for the other characters?? I'm pretty sure I could counter any example you give for Annabeth with something Percy or another character has done thats similar.
And while I don't think Thalia's is power, there's only one instance of her being self-sacrificing and thats before the books started when she held back the monsters so Luke, Annabeth and Grover could escape. She joined the hunters to avoid being the prophecy kid and let that fall to someone else.
"Show, Don't Tell" is a cardinal rule of writing for a reason.
And Rick is just really bad at Fatal Flaws.
Percy- Personal Loyalty ❌
Annabeth- Hubris ❌
Nico- Grudges ❌
Thalia- Power ❌
I don't believe any of these fit their characters. Not even sure what the reasoning behind Thalia's was.
If it hadn't been stated in the books, I'd have never associated it with their characters.

There's also Sea of Monsters:
Tumblr media
At this point of time, Thalia is a pinetree and Luke has defected so she can't even interact with either of them. And the memories are of 3 kids trying to survive on the streets.
Percy basically says the equivalent of = He's annoyed Annabeth had a life before she met him. One she can't even go back to.
But now, when Piper is worried about Jason returning to Reyna, its selfish and toxic and possessive, huh...
So when Grover said that he thought Annabeth was thinking of joining the Hunters and Percy's reaction was that he wanted to strangle these girls who looked 10-14, who had done nothing but mind their own business;
Tumblr media
And he actually does try to stop her on Mount Olympus when he thinks thats whats going to happen...
I just know that if this had been in Annabeth or Piper's POV, the antis would have come running to label them as toxic, possessive and controlling.
Guess the same doesn't apply if its Percy...

Do you have any fav blogger who talks about pjo stuff
Not really.
When I do find a post I like, I usually disagree with the rest of the blogger's content so I don't really follow anyone specifically for their opinions.
I usually just go through character tags and then if I see something I disagree with mentioned a ton of times or that just irks me, I'll make a post about it. Sometimes I'll like artwork. But thats about it.
I don't really do much on here.

Its weird that all the anti-jiper posts were always against Piper.
Meanwhile Jason admits he was tempted to kiss her when he still had no memories of who he was and had no idea who she was, as they fell from the sky with Piper screaming for her life. And apparently that didn't read as creepy at all.

I'm tired of tumblr users who make rhetorical posts on how the fandom sees Annabeth as smart but not Leo. But also don't actually bother to do anything to promote how Leo is smart on their tumblr pages.
Where are the people who actually care enough to write an actual Leo Valdez Appreciation post.
Where are the posts on how he saw the white sand at the beach in MOA and knew it was Calcium Carbonate aka lime and could be used in the ship repairs. Or how he was worried about nitrogen bubbles getting into his lungs from coming up from the water.
Where are the posts on how he built the Argo. And not the half-assed "Leo built the Argo guys, he's so smart!" one line sentences. The actual thoughtful posts. Like how he designed the Argo based on the design of ancient Tririmes but twice as big. How he built automated and retractable oars to take up less space and that wouldn't need people to row. How he programmed the personal cabins to adjust the temperature to the occupant's preference so its never too cold or too hot. How he built stables for the pegasi with bay doors on the floor for easy access before he knew they didn't like being cooped up. How the Argo runs on a gaming remote sort of system...
Or when he was underground in Rome and figured out that pi would unlock the rings or how he used Narcissus's vanity against him.
Where's the post of how he used the Archimedes sphere and a chunk of crystal from Ogygia to find the location of Calypso's island- a place that can't be found.
Where are the posts about the multiple ways he used the Archimede's sphere design like when he was fighting Nike.
Or the post where he programmed Festus to feed him the Physician's Potion once he lost consciousness.
Or how he had Calypso make a fireproof pouch for Frank. And how he made Piper tofu burgers because he knows she's vegetarian. (Why are there more Percy can cook posts when he hasn't cooked even once in any of the multiple series he was in but Leo who canonically can cook and does cook for his friends never gets talked about?)
Where are the actual Leo Valdez Appreciation posts??
Instead of just asking why don't people think Leo is smart, forget about it afterwards and then continue to write and support incorrect jokes that play him for dumb and annoying.
I'm saying this because I've been going through the Leo tags for a while now.
And the majority of them are:
Incorrect Quotes
Anti-caleo or why Leo shouldn't have dated anyone
Tagged in posts that don't even involve him
Leo in m/m relationships or LeoxReader
And posts asking why Annabeth is treated smart by the fandom but Leo isn't.
The whole Annabeth is treated as smart but Leo isn't, I wonder why argument doesn't even work when he's still treated as the dumb, annoying funny one in incorrect quotes, posts and fanfics with Piper, Reyna, Frank, Hazel. Why is he still treated as the annoying dumb one with them.
Stop liking and writing incorrect quotes that make him look dumb. Because there isn't enough (or ANY) people who'll headcanon for him unless its for something funny or for him in a relationship (and in relationships he's always made to be the annoying one anyway).
And actually start writing posts about the smart things Leo did in the books. Start headcanoning for him outside of just jokes, his sexuality, who he's dating or him being the annoying third wheel support for whatever ship you ship. Start headcanoning for smart, mechanics, science involved things he can do. Treat him like your fave. (If Percy can have multiple multiple multiple posts about being a great cook and cooking which he has never done in the books, then I'm pretty sure this fandom could have came up with something for Leo if they'd actually cared enough to try)

it's not unpopular takes, it's just that you're objectively wrong in the way you read events in the books which are often very straight forward, and also from a 2000s children's fantasy pentalogy that follows certain common conventions. basically, you're stupid
You need to calm down. lol. Not everyone is going to like your favourite character.
Plus I've given the in-text examples to support my posts as well.
And I agree, it is very straight forward. You're just too biased to acknowledge any of Percy's faults or mistakes.
(Not even sure what the 2000s pentalogy part has to do with anything)
If I was actually wrong, you'd be pointing out where I got it wrong instead of just calling me stupid.

The Gods treat Jason like crap
Percy: Oh no I’m in mortal danger and don’t have a way to complete this important quest!
The Gods: It’s my turn to help Percy.  Athena, Apollo and Aphrodite helped last time!!

AO3 tags are awful.
People over here really expecting me to believe there are 2000+ stories on Frazel? Me, whose actually gone through the stories, ready to throw hands. There's like TWO. In everything else, they're just sidecharacters. Their relationship could have been mentioned as one line in a 50k story and they'll still be tagged.
Same goes for all the other ships too. No matter how many filters you try to use, there's no point. Why do people keep using past ship tags or tag ships that are going to break up with their main tag, I'll never know. So much poor tagging on AO3. Sigh.
If you want an actual correct analysis use fanfiction.net. I know its old and tired but if you just want a number analysis of whats popular, that website gives a more accurate count than AO3. It has limited tagging options so the author has to be selective. They won't tag everything and anything just to get more views. They'll only tag what they have to. It also lets you filter by most faves and follows, so you can see whats popular among the readers, something that actually counts, rather than just how many stories were posted about a ship which doesn't actually reveal anything since it could just be the same author posting multiple and have as little as 1 person interested.
At the moment it seems to be all Percy stories- leading with Pertemis which has 9k+ faves, followed up by Perzoe, Perthena, Preyna, Perlia, Lukercy, Percabeth and a lot of Percy harem stories.

Even back in TLO.
Nico finds a way to help Percy in the war- he's the one who found out about the Achille's curse and how to get it- a curse that would make Percy invulnerable except for that one tiny mortal point. He takes Percy to see May Castellan and then his mother to get her blessing. Percy didn't even get hurt on the way to Hades place. There's an entire page of Nico saying to his dad multiple times "but dad you said you just wanted to talk to him, You said you wouldn't hurt him" etc. etc. And Hades even told Percy that Nico had been naive to believe him. And then when Nico comes to save Percy from the prison, Percy uses his sword to choke Nico and is annoyed when Nico gives a good reason as to why Percy should let him go. Nico is gagging and wretching on the floor and eyeing Percy's sword warily. Its literally right there in the book. A 16 year old choking a naive 12 year old. Percy only let him go because Nico said he could still help him and Percy literally says he wished Nico hadn't given him a reason to let him go.
Before I was fully awake, I had Nico pinned to the floor of the cell with the edge of my sword at his throat. "Want...to...rescue," he choked. Anger woke me up fast. "Oh, yeah? And why should I trust you?" "No...choice?" he gagged. I wished he hadn't said something logical like that. I let him go. Nico curled into a ball and made retching sounds while his throat recovered. Finally he got to his feet, eyeing my sword warily. (TLO, Ch.8)
(Everyone in the fandom saying Percy was OOC in the HOO series towards Nico, talking about how caring he was towards Nico in the PJO series....😒 did you all miss the part where 16yr old Percy used his sword to choke 12yr old Nico to the point it took Nico a while to recover?? You know that scene in The Last Olympian in the PJO series and all the times Percy called Nico creepy? Did you just ignore all that or what??)
Nico then shadowtravels Percy out of Hade's prison and takes Percy to the river to get the Achille's curse which will grant him invulnerabilty. And Nico is exhausted from all the shadowtravelling at this point as well. This is where the famous line of "with great power comes great need to nap" comes. And then after Percy gets the invulnerability, what does Percy do? He sends Nico back to Hades because Nico apparently still owes him?? Percy, who had just said Hades can't be trusted and heard Hades say he wished Nico had died instead of Bianca, sends Nico, who had released Percy from his dad's prison without permission back to Hades to demand they help in the war. Nico is exhausted, gone against his dad, gotten Percy invulnerability but apparently he still owes Percy??
At that point, Nico has helped Percy more than caused him any harm. He's also done more for Percy than Percy has ever done for him. And yet Percy continues to tell everyone on the Argo who doesn't know who Nico is that Nico is untrustworthy??
Tumblr media
Are we sure Nico is the one who has a fatal flaw of holding grudges??
Percy: Telling everyone in heroes of olympus that Nico is untrustworthy and no one on the Argo should trust him bc Nico made one mistake when he was twelve years old whilst being completely oblivious to Nico's crush on him
Also Percy: Man, why doesn't this kid want to be my friend?
Nico: 👁👄👁
(Meanwhile Nico telling everyone how great and nice Percy is and telling Bob to save Percy & Annabeth bc Percy was "a good person" really makes me upset 😤)

Congratulations. You continue to demonstrate that you have no understanding of Percy Jackson's character in any accurate capacity. Piss off.
LOL. Atleast come off the anon feature to say it.
Nothing I've written is even inaccurate. Its literally all from canon. Maybe if you weren't simping for him so bad, excusing and glorifying him for everything and nothing, you'd actually notice.

People be like why can't we have sweet male characters who aren't just fighters but are good, smart, kind people who care for those around them.
And than get them and call them bland and boring.
... And yes I'm taking about Jason Grace but this applies to so many other characters like Peeta Mallark.

percy basically says the equivalent of "we're saving him because we have to" not "we're saving him because he doesn't deserve to die like that" his main reasoning for promising hazel they'd save him is her being in pain and the quest, because nico is mentioned in a line. jason and leo's responses are fueled by shoddy info percy gave them. percy doesn't even interject when they say all those awful things. he doesn't give a shit. if hazel and the prophecy hadn't come into play nico would be dead.
it’s even worse because it’s not like they were strangers or anything. percy knew nico for years. he even knew him back when he was a happy kid whose life wasn’t down the drain. he was pretty much nico’s only friend and yet he still didn’t care about saving his life because “eh he’s kinda creepy man maybe we don’t HAVE to rescue him or whatever” like loyal my ass

Its literally just a reminder. There are people who actually thought Percy had held up the weight of the sky for Annabeth. Probably from all the posts that said he had here on tumblr. And I've seen it on Quora and Reddit as well. And him holding up the weight of the sky for Annabeth gets mentioned in a lot of fanfiction too. And if you look at the reblogs, you'll see other people did forget about what had actually happened (even if you knew). Can't blame them since thats whats been said for years. I'd point to one of the comments I got on my post that i replied to but the user has since deleted it.
I posted it to correct a rampant misinformation thats been going on in the fandom. Its literally just fact checking. There really is no offence to it.
Just a reminder that Percy did NOT hold up the weight of the sky for Annabeth.
Like, I get how that would be romantic and loyal and all that... but thats not what actually happened in the book.
Annabeth took the weight of the sky from Luke because it looked like he was crumbling under it. ARTEMIS, then took the weight of the sky from Annabeth.
When the group reached there, Artemis was holding up the sky and Annabeth was bound and gagged on the sidelines.
Percy, who was warned not to attack Atlas because Atlas was bound by ancient laws and could only attack when challenged, does it anyways. He then realised Artemis had a better chance than he did against Atlas and tells Artemis to switch with him. Artemis at first says that he wouldn't be able to, to which Percy says if Annabeth could, he could too. And thats how he ends up holding the sky. It wasn't for Annabeth. It was because he realised he couldn't fight Atlas. But Artemis could.
Meanwhile Annabeth manages to free herself from her handcuffs because everyone else was busy with the fight to help her.
There isn't enough connection between the two events to say that Percy held up the sky for Annabeth.

If anyone has the time, could you please point me towards an article on how reblogging and stuff works?
If I reblogged something but it doesn't show up in the user's reblog list, was I blocked from reblogging or does it just take time to show up?
Also one of my posts was reblogged but I don't know by whom? Did they decide not to reblog it? Or is it in drafts or something?
Also if I reblogged an argument or something with a different opinion from the original, and it gets liked, is it my post or their post that is liked? If so whats the correct way to give a different opinion? Do I just make a new post?

My reblog wasn't working. I didn't show up in the user's reblog list. (Not sure if I was just blocked?😟 or does it take time to appear?) But I wanted to share as well😟... Anyways,
Feel like the OP missed the part where if they'd jumped when Percy had thought they should, they would have just crashed into the gate. They wouldn't have even made it airborne and over the gate which is what made it possible for Grover to then catch them.
Annabeth was right. If we'd jumped when I thought we should've, we would've crashed into the gates. She got us maximum lift. Unfortunately, that was a little more than we needed. Our boat smashed into the pileup and we were thrown into the air, straight over the gates, over the pool, and down toward solid asphalt.
The "Annabeth is given credit for this plan" just seems to be a you problem or a fandom problem because she doesn't actually get credit for it in the books. I read the TTC part as well. Can't find him "flinch"ing though. Interesting word choice you chose to add. Actually your entire description of that scene is quite interesting. Because he seemed more worried about the actual dancing part. The girls really do need to quit punching the guys though. Hazel punching Frank in the chest, Piper punching Leo, Meg punching Lester, Mellie punching Coach Hedge. And that punching line Nico organised against Leo.😩
