Kalia Yojana
KALIA, Krushak Assistance for Livelihood and income augmentation is a new scheme introduced by Prime Minister Modi. The Government of Odisha launched the scheme for farmers, the landless agricultural, laborers, and croppers with the scheme. The government will provide various benefits to the holders of the scheme.
The Benefits of the KALIA Yojana
1. One of the best benefits of this Kalia Yojana is Government will provide financial help to both small and marginal farmers by giving them a subsidy of rupees 25000 per family for the five seasons. Hence, they can purchase their seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, and assistance, labor, etc.
2. If the farmers need agriculture allied activities such as a unit of fishery, mushroom cultivation, goat rearing unit and many, and more they can ask for the government for the assistance and they will allot rupees 12500 to every agriculture household, who is landless.
3. Also the Odisha government is providing life insurance coverage for farmer's families around 2 lakh with a nominal rate of rupees 330. Further, with this coverage, the Odisha Government provides Rs.165 to the Farmer's savings account whose age is 18 and under 50 years.
4. If the farmer meets a personal accident, the Odisha government will provide rupees 200000 subsidies with the nominal rate of rupees 12. This means Rs6 will be paid by the government to the farmer's saving account whose age is above 18 and below 50 years.
5. The landless agricultural laborers and susceptible cultivators are also covered in this scheme, and they will be provided rupees 10,000 per family by the Odisha Government.
6. With a zero percent interest rate, the crop loan will be provided to the farmers up to rupees 50,000.
What are the objectives of KALIA Yojana?
With Kalia Yojana, the objectives of governments are highlighted below.
· Aim to make the farmers debt-free and the purpose is to sanction more than 10000 crore rupees to the farmers.
· Help 92% of poor cultivators including landless agriculture
· Improve the agriculture sector

People can check the beneficiary list and eligibility criteria online through these websites of the government.
The KALIA Yojana is implemented by the Odisha government for the benefit of the farmers.
The state government introduced “Krushak Assistance for Livelihood and Income Augmentation” – KALIA from the financial year 2018-19. This is the biggest ever individual beneficiary scheme in the history of Odisha.
So far, 43 Lakh farmers have been benefitted and an amount of Rs.5115 crore has been transferred directly to the Bank Account of farmers.
This year, the government has proposed an amount of Rs.3195 crore for this scheme in the state budget for 2020-21.

National scholarship portal
National Scholarship Portal (NSP) 2020 has been launched by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India.
The portal is a simplified platform created for students to help them avail benefits of educational scholarships.
The NSP portal is a one-stop solution through which various services starting from student application, application receipt,
processing, sanction and disbursal of various scholarships to students are enabled.
NSP is taken as Mission Mode Project under National e-Governance Plan (NeGP) for faster and effective disposal of Scholarships applications and delivery of funds directly into beneficiaries account without any leakages.
Through the portal, students can register and submit their application online for applying scholarship schemes sponsored by the state and central governments.
The students can also track the status of their own application with User ID and Password generated by the system and they can renew their applications with same credential.

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday launched Odisha scholarship portal www.scholarship.odisha.gov.in that will benefit over 11 lakh students in the state.
The students can apply for various scholarships through the single website.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said a number of departments are running more than 20 scholarships.
The Odisha scholarship portal would be successful in bridging the gap between the scholarship providers and the scholarship seekers, he said.
“Provision of scholarship is one of the flagship schemes of State Government towards promotion of educational attainment among students from disadvantaged sections of society,” Patnaik said.
The ST, SC, OBC, and SEBC students of the state will be the first beneficiaries of this portal.
The portal will promote transparency, simplify procedures and further streamline public service delivery besides serving as digital single windows for the beneficiaries.
The unified Odisha State Scholarship Portal brings 21 scholarship schemes of six major departments of Odisha Government to a single platform. It will help 7.5 lakh beneficiaries to avail scholarship benefits in a seamless and transparent manner.
