Two months ago I was making some chain mail and I put one of the galv steel jump rings through my ear and closed it. It’s still there.

In my country everyone has a river and a mountain that is their tie to where they’re from… and sometimes I think about how my mountain isn’t even a mountain… it’s kinda big hills 😰 I’m so embarrassed. Only 600 meters tall 😰😰😰😰

Update: I got zero stones but I did see some really good green sapphires that were pretty hard to put back down.

They have the peridot I need but I need to decide if it’s worth casting the ring in gold is I’m gonna use a gem like that coz… yknow.. gold is gold and peridot is.. a pretty average gem.

The woman working the store was very nice but the owner arrived and he recognized me right away and went straight in asking about the lapis he sold my dad and I showed him some of the finished necklaces my dad made and he seemed satisfied so I guess we’re good.

I had to pry my friend out of the shop, I turned about to look at her and she was head and shoulders deep into a display case and had three rings on her right hand and was reaching for another 💀

Also double no one asked by I saw my siblings, mum and grandparents today (dads still in our town at the shop coz he can’t just close up and lose business)

Lately I’ve really been dreaming about having my own jewelers one day with my own little smithy and work bench and I can just sit in there all day and work and pay someone else to work the counter.

Sounds like a dream…

Anyway, I was gonna travel up north specifically to get a sword but my dad offered me a hunting trip so I’ll forgo the expo to go climb up into the back country and no doubt return empty handed save some unfortunate hares and maybe a quail if they’re in season when we go up there.

Also me, the aforementioned friend and our studio technician decided to see whole could lift the big anvil in the smithy for the longest. My friend is a lot stronger then me but i was stronger then the tech even if I pulled a muscle in the back of my knee haha

I am currently procrastinating on a hour round trip across the city to buy some gemstones to make a completely useless comb that will display a rose only when displayed at a very specific angle only by my hands and if anyone else touches it it will be ruined pretty much instantly.

Also this guy potentially has some beef with my dad over the price of some stones he bought so I really hope he doesn’t secretly hate me 👍🏻

My had a contest between myself, my best friend and our technician to see who could lift the anvil on the block. I did not win but also don’t think I lost so

I’ll take it.
