Hello there! In the present week, I’ve selected a variable called “age at onset of first episode” from “social phobia”. completed a graph for categorical variable. Found the mean, median, mode for the variable selected. A unimodal graph has been formed for the variable choosen.

Hi there! Ive selected the code set of Social Phobia and there is not much data management options can be performed on this. Ive done some data management operations from my code set, like ive eliminated the values of unknown and ive done a grouping of variables. Selected age group of individuals who faced there first episode of anxiety due to social phobia.

Data Management and Visualization - 2 (SAS Program) - (Social Phobia)

Hello there! After a good comparison between SAS and Python for data analysis, I preferred to go with SAS programming.

In the first week, i chose to work on Social Phobia and how it making students depress. I’ve selected certain variables and observations from NESARC and wrote my first SAS program.

Data Management and visualization - 1 (Social Phobia)

Hello there! After reading through the code books provided, i decided to go for “social phobia” which is mentioned in NESARC - Wave 1 Code book under section 7. As an engineering teacher i always ask my students certain questions in front of there fellow mates, but most of the students fail to answer even though they know the answer for the question asked. I decided to make a research on what are the factors that is causing certain students to face this social phobia, by selecting relevant variables mentioned in section 7 of NESARC.

Literature Review

A review of literature on social phobia suggests that, social phobia is completely neglected by an individual when compared to other anxiety disorders. A person (male/female) tries to avoid the social gatherings to escape from social phobia rather than treating it. A cognitive model has been developed by David. M Clarke and Adrian wells. Treatments for social phobia using cogintive thereapy are under process.

Research Question

Is social phobia leading to depression in an individual?

Hypothesis

practise of social gatherings with known people can reduce social phobia and depression causing by it.
