I had no idea M knows (is friends with?) Maggie Rogers. Seems valid (scratch that, seems - something between my ribs tightening, certain cords breaking (you know, just perfectly normal things if one knows their fave artists like each other) the way how she tries to be authentic, the rawness and poetics of her lyrics meeting the rawness and poetics of those of Miles - how the art meets people and the people meet art and how bonds are created (don’t even get me started on how many points of interconnection are between A and M because it sometimes feels as if I was looking at the very same person in two, different reflections and there’s a certain type of poetry in it that I will not divulge in today) the picture of how I thought in that moments I see them conversing - no pretense, warm and unexpected)
