Born into slavery in 41BBY to Shmi Skywalker and no father, he served the Galactic Republic as a Jedi Knight and General during the Clone Wars. After his fall to the dark side, he served the Galactic Empire as the Sith Lord Darth Vader and eventually destroyed the Sith with his death in 4ABY, fulfilling the prophecy and becoming one with the Force. He was one of the most powerful Jedi and Sith in galactic history.
