Thinking about the Parallel ep 6 had where when they were shot from zooble's room, against the wall, Pomni was elated and excited to help her 'partner' and go after zooble.

Paralleling with when she just left Ragatha on the first episode and hesitated to even come back.

Both ended with Ragatha/Jax sitting against the wall, and Pomni running away. But this time for different reasons.

I just wanna address that episode because holy moly

Part 1: Pomni and Jax

Everyone is saying how Pomni and Jax hate each other, yada yada, but this just isn’t true if you look into the actual expressions and demeanors of the two of them. Her expressions when she keeps checking on him during the award ceremony proves otherwise. When she didn’t see him while he was in the bathroom, we see her concerned and starting to get out of her seat, but then he re-appears and she sits back down. She cares and she knows he’s spiraling toward abstraction at a rapid rate.

She knows that he is pushing her away on purpose, pomni is probably the most emotionally intelligent character in the show thus far (besides Kinger) and isn’t falling for his bullshit.

Jax on the other hand clearly cares about Pom, we can see him looking at his hand wondering why he is pushing her away again, but he has a conflicting side of him that destroys all his hopes and wants of connection because he, like pomni said, is scared and a coward. He starts to break down following his crashout realizing he is headed toward his doom, as he just pushed away another person. I think that’s also why he comments to himself how stupid he looks, because he doesn’t know why he keeps doing it, but it just keeps happening.

To directly address funnybunny, I think the hope of them being anything more than platonic is dead (which technically was confirmed already a long time ago by goose but still ) but I don’t think they are domed otherwise…until Jax abstracts. Even then though, I don’t think Pomni is just going to dismiss the fact that she connected with him as much as she did.

As far as Jax goes, he sucks, but not in a villainous way if that makes sense. His mental state and mindset is so corrupt and that makes him unpleasant to be around, just like he was talking about when he was talking to Pomni about what people are like before they abstract.

He is NOT a bad person, he just has a lot of things that doesn’t make him a great one because his mentality is so messed up.

Part 2: Ragatha and Kinger

Holy shit I am so glad that Ragatha survived the episode, I was conflicted on whether she would or not. I literally called it that Kinger would be the one to pull her out of her spiral on a previous post; I think their dynamic is genuinely so adorable and cute and Kinger seems to be the one in the circus to actually understand her the most, and vice versa.

Even when Kinger is crazy, we can see how he naturally tends to stay around Ragatha, which I think shows that he cares about her no matter what and even in his crazed mental state is protective of her. She is his digital daughter, he is her digital guardian. I think this fact is really gonna hurt during the finale; I think goose has something up her sleeve of a scene where Kinger sacrifices himself as one of the developers (I’ll get to that in a sec) and Ragatha has to leave him behind.

Also, Kinger is totally a lead developer, or Caine’s co-creator. Maybe he even directly developed Caine. I screeched to my sisters about it when he made the health butterfly appear.

Part 3: Zooble and Gangle

I don’t know how much I have to say here, but I am so glad that Gangle escaped Jax and found someone healthier for her to be around. Her and Zooble have such a beautiful connection, as unlike with Jax, she seems safe and sure of herself around them. Even when her happy mask breaks, her sad mask is smiling.

My abstragedy heart is sailing.

Also, was not expecting the sex comment from Zooble lmao.

Part 4: Caine

I have mixed emotions on what is going on with Caine. It’s getting harder to tell if he is just an AI that doesn’t understand humans, or if the other game developer somehow found a way to integrate himself into Caine to become powerful in the circus. Since it’s a combination of them and Caine is being controlled, Caine doesn’t understand half of the shit going on and it’s making him nervous.

Caine is supposed to be AI, but he has human emotions. He pulled out a picture of the empty desk from C&A. There is something weird going on, and he is basically either a forming virus or he is sentient directly because of the developer merging with him or something.
