The Necluda Megapod actually has a good relationship with shark Zora and there are many Zorphins with shark ancestry. They have a handful who live with the pod! And size isn't much of an issue for the pod because most of the Zorphin are very large due to Whale ancestry! If anything a big shark is something exciting to see! Especially for Ryvr! Ryvr doesn't get to see other sharks outside the pods' handful of members very often, and every time she does, she gets a wee bit too excited about it.

I do feel pretty bad about this... what would be be looking for in a partner?

All doors are open.
All I wish is just someone who can have a healthy relationship with a 15'4, 391 years old [human years approximately 47-50] Bull Shark Zora who has a lot of mental problems.
Like I said, it will be hard. It will be like a real life relationship, ups and downs. Its not a fairytale novel book, love at first sight.
It will most likely be new friend to lover.
He will most likely still have a lot of problems, but will be better and be happy.
Thats all I could have ever asked for.

We've never spoken but I'm a little confused- why are you getting rid of SofoonΓ© if he doesn't find a partner? You obviously love him deeply so it just doesn't make sense to me that you'd retire him just because of that. I know you mentioned in a few posts that it's got something to do with a bet with a friend- but putting something that important to you on the line for something so trivial just doesn't feel right to me. Especially when you consider all the outside factors that don't exactly make the odds fair / favorable in the first place. Shipping is a big deal and often involves building a lot of trust beforehand. This isn't always the case- but your new to the fandom/haven't been active in the while you probably haven't had the chance to really get to know many people yet- so ofc people will be shy to offer.
and that isn't even getting into the other issues- like, I mean this in the nicest way possible, but you sorta shot yourself in the foot by turning this into a "Ship with my oc or I'm going to get rid of him" situation 😭 because it puts a lot of unnecessary pressure/blame on folk and turns what should be a fun activity between friends into something very unhealthy.
Seriously- who cares about the bet? That shouldn't be something you have to hold yourself too and ik and neither should your friend. Just focus on developing your character and getting to know people the right way and Safoone will find a partner in due time. It's been really sad seeing you do this to yourself- so please reconsider. It's really not worth it.

Sofoonè is mentally unwell, I think everyone can see that.
Hes been a stepping stool for others for YEARS. I mean at least 300 years out of 391. Hes been used, abused, and overall has had not a great life.
At this point Im having a hard time making him happy naturally. When I draw him smiling or looking like he's enjoying life, it always turns out looking wrong if thats by shading or an overall feeling that some artest have. Because its simply untrue.
I really dont want to do the bet, but at some point I was going to have to, because I don't like backing out mid point. I also triggered it right now because I am at a breaking point.
I mean, physical and mental abuse is hard and some people can get over that.
SofoonΓ© literally can not and its finally seeping into his character that because of how old and how long he has been used, he's done.
Him being with a partner again is hard and would be a long story process. But having something to look forward to at the end of today, or tomorrow? He hasent had that in 200 years.
It would keep him from being pushed. Of course adoption would be a nice way to do that, but he has horrible trama young children with that too. He would also not know what to do with a teen and not having someone to help him, absolutely just not do a good job.
He literally can not escape this wall of pain in his life without an adult to guide him out.
Friends have been the only reason he hasent killed himself yet.
Its literally the truth.
I love him and I always wished to make him happy at the end, but that didn't seem fair to the person who helped me make his character.
I drew him, I designed and named him. That friend i made the bet with, they gave him the job and his personality.
I felt like it was right to ask how they thought his life should continue. I didn't want to do a bet but they said thats the only way because it puts him on the line, like how he's been his whole life.
Thats why I did it. Not just because of the bet, I actually kept pushing that away.
Simply because he is done. Simply because when he looks happy in his life situation, he looks wrong.
Thank you for reading this and I hope you understand why I did this. Yes I know I shot myself in the foot. But it is truly the only way I can make his character grow.
Either to his death, or to a happiness he has never felt in his entire life.

Why hold others responsible for your oc getting canned?? That’s pretty unfair. He’s a good oc, keep him! If time runs out, you can always make another oc to pair with him.
It was a bet I made and I don't back out of bets.
My friend was like, you know what, I bet somebody would make your guy a buddy, and i said no.
