Genuinely really upset about this. Taitague was one of the first youth players I ever followed because I was so excited to see what he would develop into. I never stopped believing in him, even through all these years of injury, but I guess it wasn’t meant to be. I’m happy he is working to become an agent and help others fulfill their dreams and I wish him the best of luck ❤️

Unconfirmed reports suggest that Sebastian Soto has taken Chile NT up on their offer to be called up before the 2022 World Cup.
A tough loss for the US, as the striker had 12 goals in 17 games and was essentially for the US’s run in the U20 World Cup. However, with Tim Weah, Josh Sargent, and Jozy Altidore ahead of him at senior level, the move is probably best for the young international’s career. The federation did everything they could to retain him, and now we must wish him the best! 🇨🇱 ❤️

Uly Llanez officially goes on loan to Eredivisie side Heerenveen! Still not cap tied, Llanez has spent a season now at Wolfsburg II, where he occasionally trained with the first team.
Hopefully this loan will allow him to get some first team minutes in a competitive league! Llanez signed a contract with Wolfsburg through 2024 before leaving for Holland so the club clearly rates him!

It’s official! Sebastian Soto joins Dutch side SC Telstar on loan for a year. There was interest from several Portuguese sides, but the aim of the club and the player was consistent playing time!
One thing of note: 🇨🇱 Chile national team coach Reinaldo Reuda called him recently.

Sebastian Soto has officially joined Norwich City FC through 2023!
Exciting to see just anything happen for this kid considering the absolutely horrid way that Hannover treated him. However, not a huge fan of this considering he hasn’t been capped yet so much immediately go out on loan (probably to a Dutch side). I just don’t like the idea of transferring to a club you can’t play for.

Zach Booth (16), who recently captained our U17s in the UEFA Development Tournament in February, has moved to Leicester City! The midfielder apparently impressed several scouts during the tournament, and had been rumored to make a move to Tottenham. His brother, Taylor, is U20 eligible and currently in Bayern Munich’s academy.

20 Best U-20s Abroad
Tumblr media
20. Chris Durkin 🇺🇸
Still only 20, Durking finds himself in Belgium with Sint-Trulden, with the club purchasing him after a successful loan. After a tough season with DC United, Durkin made this move last summer. A defensive midfielder, Durkin has become a regular for the first team, reestablishing himself as a viable first team prospect for the national team.
19. Travian Sousa 🇺🇸
A solid left back prospect, Sousa started the year in Hamburg’s U19s. 2019/20 saw the 18-year-old rise to Hamburg II and then eventually debuting for Hamburg in a friendly during the winter break.
18. Sebastian Soto 🇺🇸 🇨🇱
Getting a move to Norwich City this window from Hannover, Soto is a dynamic striker. Still only 20, Soto will have to leave Norwich on loan due to work permit issues, and will likely end up in the Eredivisie.
17. Leonardo Sepulveda 🇺🇸
Playing for Salamanca II in Segunda B, Sepulveda is one of the more talented defenders the US has in their pool. Only 19, Sepulveda has done well in his first season in Spain and has been something of a regular for the youth side.
16. Charlie Kelman 🇺🇸 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿
The 18-year-old center forward for Southend United has made a great impact this season. Transfer rumors indicate the young American might move to a higher level in the English league this summer.
15. Owen Otasowie 🇺🇸 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿
A young 19-year-old centerback for Wolves, Owen plays for the side’s U23 team, but trains regularly with the first team. He has made the bench several times during the premier league season and was even added to the Wolves Europa league roster.
14. Jalen Hawkins 🇺🇸 🇩🇪
One of the more underrated prospects, Hawkins was quietly moved from Ingolstadt’s U19s and offered a first team contract after this last season saw him score 7 goals and have 3 assists. In the 2.Bundesliga, the 19-year-old will be looking for an opportunity to show his talents for the first team.
13. Alex Mendez 🇺🇸 🇲🇽
The 19-year-old centeral midfielder had been a regular with Jong Ajax, but has started preseason with their first team. Hoping to break through in the 2020/21 season, Mendez has been a highly rated prospect for a while who will be looking to turn that talent into performance.
12. Cameron Harper 🇺🇸 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
Only 18, Harper has been playing for a very good Celtic’s reserves side. Unafraid to take players on and clinical in the box, Harper will hope to break into Celtic’s first team next season
11. Indiana Vassilev 🇺🇸 🇧🇬
Just 19, Vassilev is a skillful left winger with Aston Villa. Seeing the bench often for Villa’s first team, Vassilev saw his first team debut this past season with late substitute appearances.
10. Nicholas Giocchini 🇺🇸 🇮🇹
This 19-year-old center forward has been a break out for the Caen first team this past season. Starting the season on their B team, Giocchini has made 16 appearances in Ligue 1 for the club and 1 appearances in the Coupe de France, where he scored a goal on his debut there.
9. Chris Gloster 🇺🇸
A regular for Jong PSV, Chris has seen recent training with the club’s first team, and has been getting called up for the preseason friendlies, though lacking consistent playing time. Though an injury interrupted his season last year, the left back will be looking to break into PSV in 2020/21.
Tumblr media
8. Ulysses Llanez 🇺🇸 🇲🇽
With 11 goals and 6 assists to Wolfsburg II, the 19-year-old has become a breakout performer for the side’s reserves. This next season Llanez will be looking to break into Wolfsburg’s first team, making his Bundesliga debut.
Tumblr media
7. Josh Sargent 🇺🇸
Still only 20, Sargent saw only 4 goals and 4 assists for a Werder Bremen side that was ultimately relegated. Mostly a substitute, Sargent struggled to make an impact for the side, though a season in the 2.Bundesliga could be just what his development needs.
Tumblr media
6. Konrad de la Fuente 🇺🇸 🇪🇸
Still only 19, Konrad has been a regular for Barcelona B this season, becoming an important player in their (ultimately unsuccessful) fight for promotion to Segunda. However, toward the end of the season, Konrad trained more regularly with Barcelona’s first team, and even saw the bench as a substitute in Barcelona’s final few Champions League games.
Tumblr media
5. Richie Ledezma 🇺🇸 🇲🇽
Ledezma played for Jong PSV last year, ending the shortened season with 4 goals and 3 assists. Known for his line breaking passes, ability to get out of trouble, and cool head in front of goal, the 19-year-old has shown prominently in PSV’s preseason friendlies, and hopefully can continue good form and break into their first team.
Tumblr media
4. Chris Richards 🇺🇸
Playing both right back and centerback for Bayern II, Richards has several suiters for a loan deal, though parent club Bayern Munich also claims to have him in their first team plans for the 2020/21 season. Hopefully, wherever he ends up, the 20-year-old can start to see first team minutes in Germany’s top flight.
Tumblr media
3. Tim Weah 🇺🇸 🇫🇷
Weah got his big move to Lille OSC last season, however, an early injury and the cancellation of Ligue 1 saw Weah’s season come to an end after only a few appearances. However, healthy once again, this looks to be the year the 20-year-old winger lives up to the potential that is so evident in him every time he plays.
Tumblr media
2. Sergino Dest 🇺🇸 🇳🇱
An already proven talent, Dest has been playing for Ajax’s first team as a right back, scoring 2 goals and having 6 assists. With transfer rumors to Juventus, Bayern Munich, and Barcelona circling, it is looking like the 19-year-old will leave Holland this summer.
Tumblr media
1. Giovanni Reyna 🇺🇸 🇵🇹
Already making several first team appearances for Dortmund this season, Reyna has been trusted to be a game changer off the bench. Reyna will look at the 2020/21 season as an opportunity to become more of a regular in this Dortmund side. Playing in the wing, or as a shadow striker, the 17 year old has already shown world class talent, and a cool head in front of goal.

Konrad de la Fuente makes FC Barcelona’s Champions League squad! With 22 players listed and 23 allowed on the bench, it’s safe to say he will at least be available as a substitute!
