What really annoys me in all this discussion about the Amazon that has started recently is that a lot of people engaging in it - gringos and brazilians/other south-americans who don't live in the region - are acting as that forest is just a bunch of trees. It isn't just this, it's much more. There are people living in there, you understand? Indigenous people of various cultures, some of them not even contacted yet. The ribeirinhos, a typical population of the Amazon. Important towns such as Manaus are located in the Amazon, and thousands of people live in there. All of them are facing the consequences of these events right now. The Amazon means a lot to their lives and culture. And you must remember that the land of the forest is theirs by right before you enter this conversation.

Apparently it’s theorised that dogs feel unsafe when they poop because of natural instincts, a wolf is very vulnerable while defecating. That’s why they look you in the eye, they’re trying to say “you’ve got my back, right?” because they trust you to protect them while they poop.

 And that is also why they follow you into the bathroom when you take a shit. It’s paramount that you know that they, too, have your back while you poop. You’re poop buddies. Friends don’t let friends poop alone.

your bare minimum isn’t actually that bare or minimum. my dad once told me that there’s nothing in this world that’s easy and that’s true tbh. everything we do takes energy, time, and effort. even the little things. if you feel like you’re not doing enough please try to think about your circumstances and what’s currently available to you: chances are, there’s something that’s diverting or otherwise draining you. and to pull away from that and get something done regardless? well, i think that’s really admirable! please try to take pride in the things you do accomplish in a day, no matter how small or trifling you perceive them to be. you can’t be proud of your growth if you don’t notice where you already are!
