Under a quarter moon, Mt. Hood and the Hood River (by GeorgeOfTheGorge)

Out of the frame, high to the left, the quarter moon shines on Mt. Hood and the Hood River just south of the city of Hood River on Oregon 35. Our night vision which is black and white doesn't let us see night time colors, but the camera does record colors. It just doesn't know how to see them. Post processing in Lightroom and Photoshop allow us to tweak the colors as we imagine they should be. The four minute exposure at 135 mm and f6.3 records star trails pointing toward Mt. Hood.
