THE  MORE  PEOPLE  ON  THEIR  SIDE,       THE  BETTER.       this  isn’t  about  some  power  trip  to  her.          while  it’s  nice  to  have  people  listening  to  her  and  following  her  lead,       and  while  it’s  nice  to  finally  feel  IN  CONTROL  of  her  life  after  THE  BEAST  had  taken  so  much  of  her  freedom,         there’s  more  to  monroe’s  journey:          SHE  AIMS  TO  PROTECT.       if  people  are  following  her  lead,       it  means  they’re  working  to  protect  themselves,       and  that’s  more  important  to  her  than  anything  else.        the  only  way  to  truly  give  this  town  SAFETY  is  to  eliminate  all  threat     ——-      building  an  army  to  do  that  is  the  best  way  to  do  it.        the  citizens  of  beacon  hills  need  a  way  to  keep  themselves  safe;       it’s  why  giving  them  weapons  seems  like  the  best  option.        and  while  as  a  PROTECTOR  it  goes  against  her  instincts,       she  knows  they  can’t  defend  themselves  otherwise         (      there’s  nothing  fair  about  a  werewolf  vs.  a  human.      )         she  wants  them  to  be  trained,      to  be  CONFIDENT  in  their  abilities.       the  last  thing  she  wants  is  for  a  human  to  get  caught  in  the  crossfire.          ❝     get  them  here  as  soon  as  you  can,     ❞         she  orders,       head  tilted  up  with  a  look  of  pride.           ❝     these  people  are  already  scared,        i  don’t  want  them  to  think  they  can’t  handle  themselves.        THEY  CAN.        they  just  need  a  little  direction.     ❞
