not be like “ugh the Youths” but i think kids nowadays have gotten Too Comfortable on the internet.
like i see these tweets on twitter like “hey im 14 and i just got kicked out pls rt so i can find somewhere to stay im in x state/city” and like HOLY SHIT i cannot emphasize enough how incredibly dangerous this is. you’re broadcasting to EVERYONE that you are young, vulnerable, and desperate AND information on how to find you!!!! like i know you meant for that to be just for your friends on twitter but that’s a public tweet!!! ANYONE could see it!!! like I saw it and i have no idea who you are you are not in my circle and yet!!! so like WHO ELSE has seen it!!!

Is anyone else ever genuinely shocked when you find out you have an impact on someone’s life? A coworker can be like “I’ve missed seeing you” and I’m just like “???? you?? missed me????? My presence has an effect on your daily experience???? I affect things??? W h a t ? ? ?”

Something that I don’t feel is talked about enough is the similarity between female and male fan sexualization of idols in Kpop. It is so prevalent and “acceptable” for female stans to overtly express their “desires” for idols, specifically over their bodies and it’s disturbing the amount of things that get overlooked bc it’s so popular. I get having crushes or thinking someone is attractive but there are many lines that can be easily crossed and these idols aren’t always able to express their boundaries. Idk. I just feel like it’s hypocritical for many of us to say we feel uncomfortable when others are sexualized, especially women, but then turn a blind eye when something like “smut” with real living people exists. It’s equivalent to deep fake pornography from my perspective.

Malcolm X was assassinated on this day in 1965. The official story is that Malcolm was killed by his former brothers in the Nation of Islam, under orders from Elijah Muhammad, the leader of the group and former mentor and father figure to Malcolm. New evidence has revealed that the NYPD and the FBI had more to do with the assisnation than previously was believed.
Malcolm was a hugely influential civil and human rights activist, but he was taken just as his mind was expanding and his beliefs were changing. Though his distrust of White Americans may have been justified, the NOI had indoctrinated him with the belief that all White people were evil and that Black people were the supreme race. After splitting from the Nation, and journeying to Mecca where he met orthodox Muslims, Black and White alike, who welcomed him as a brother, Malcolm’s eyes were opened. He began to realize that racism and evil were not unique to White people, and that a mutual love of God and justice could unite all people. When killed, he had just begun organizing a group called the Organization of Afro-American Unity, a political group whose aim was to fight for the rights of African Americans, and that welcomed all people, Whites included, who believed in the cause.
“I’m for truth, no matter who tells it. I’m for justice, no matter who it is for or against. I’m a human being, first and foremost, and as such I’m for whoever and whatever benefits humanity as a whole.”

If you too are wondering why impeach him with two weeks left: It strips him of secret service, lifetime pension, etc Most importantly, it bars him from running again. Plus, it’s their job.

Amazing how we’re watching a bunch of white, racist fucks, storm the capitol building of the United States over the fact that they can’t accept their loser of a President lost the election, is unfuckingbelivable. The transparency of minorities and people protesting for human rights and justice in the face of corruption, versus people are sore losers that can’t accept defeat and know they’re protected because they’re white Americans, could not be more apparent.
