Vienna: But then doesn't that make the swipe up feature redundant? It feels like Instagram is trying to integrate too many social media platforms together into one. Snapchat, youtube... They haven't quite seemed to get twitter just yet.

Val: People post screenshots of their tweets on their too but you can't exactly RT it but I'm sure they're already thinking of something. you can shop on there too now.

Vienna: I won't lie, I still don't understand the Itv feature especially when there's Youtube around.

Val: I've seen some people put their youtube videos on there and then link to their youtube page

Vienna: Instagram really needs an option where you can just pause it and scroll back, don't you think? Honestly, I give up after the third time. I don't have the patience like you do.

Val: I think they have it only for the Itv ones but not for the regular posts which is really annoying.

Vienna: I'm not going to push because I know you'll use your judgement just like you always have. Just be careful, alright?

Vienna: Honestly, I don't know. I feel like if they're called hacks they should actually work but more often than not they just end up being complete duds. Especially the Instagram ones where they try explain them in 30 seconds with no voice over and just music.

Val: I can do that, I'm great at being careful.

Val: I always end up watching the videos like 6-7 times around because they go to fast and I miss what happened.

“Why don’t you do it? This is partly your idea and you’re incredible. Go ahead, no one is going to boo you off the stage or anything like that.”

“Well thank you, that’s so sweet but I’ll give a couple more people a chance to go up there. How about you and I go grab a drink?”

“Why wait?” Luke let out breathlessly in a whisper, but it seemed as soon as he was about to give way she pulled back. “I didn’t realize you were friends with Esme,” he let out, letting his hand slip to hers, sucking back some of his drink.

“Because I have guests, they might start talking if I come back all flustered.” She reminded him as she looked around the room towards the girl he asked about. “Yeah we’ve been friends for a good couple years. we stayed in touch when i was back in New York.”

“More than one person thought that you would be a mic hog. Aren’t you too cool for these kinds of things anyways?”

“Oh come on all of this was your bright idea. But I think we lucked out and got a good group going no drama, no fighting not like the fourth of July.”

Val: Maybe I just like kissing you, that doesn't mean I like you per se.

Val: It's up there, I'm a big fan of most things with cheese.

Addie didn’t believe that for a second, but she didn’t bother to contradict her out loud. “I am absolutely never doing that again. How do you like being up there?”

“I love it, I’m honestly trying to hold myself back from going up there again and letting everyone have a turn. No one likes a mic hog.”

Vienna: Just in case? I didn't even know that you were seeing someone since you got back.

Vienna: I feel like those home remedy don't really work out as well as you'd hope they would. The spoon tactic is meant to help remove some of the inflammation though? I don't know, stick with the make up.

Val: I don't know if seeing is the right word, but I met someone. And no I'm not ready to tell you his name just yet but I'm at least saying there's a person.

Val: Then why are they even called hacks? I've been watching so many youtube videos. Okay I'll try it if it's needed.

“Well anyone who says that I’m afraid to say clearly does not know the Ricci family well enough.” Vienna shrugged as she thanked her sister and added a spoon full of sugar to her mug. It was always a bit of a strange lifestyle for the Ricci family even when their mother was just starting out in politics but it seemed for the most part there was always someone keeping an eye on them, waiting for someone to make a wrong move so that they could sell it to the press but it was also a life style that Vienna had grown used to. Even if it wasn’t exactly the most pleasant at times. “I haven’t asked though, how have you been? Since coming back to well, dad and Cody and the small city lifestyle? I know how much you enjoyed being in the big city but I just want to know you’re doing fine since coming back home.” She probed a little.

Valentina sat down on the couch pulling her knees up to her neck as she thought of the question. Everyone had been asking about her dad and how he was doing, which were all valid and the most important question but no one had really asked her how she was doing besides Chace. “It’s an adjustment.” It was like being on another planet if she was being honest. “I’ve been going to visit dad as much as I can, so that’s been taking up a lot of my time. I mean I got slightly angry at someone walking slow the other day on the sidewalk but it’s not weird coming back, it’s just like a different pace.” She wasn’t even sure if she was making sense. “I like being back here, seeing everyone, being able to do things like this with you but I miss it.” She nodded to herself as if she was trying to come up with words. “Cody... He knows I’m back we made plans to meet up but I think things are different now.”

“I mean, what better way to start the party off than with some good old fashioned Britney Spears, right?”

“A great choice really. A classic and people are already heading up. So many people showed up!”

Addie absolutely hated performing and being on stage. Some people thrived, others wanted to die. Addie fell into the second category, but she had been given a free shot to do it so she had no choice. “Oh you’re being nice.” She laughed nervously and took her drink back, “I don’t know.. it was just the one that I could focus on the nerves and not what I was actually doing”

“No I wouldn’t say that just to be nice!” It was her default by nature but she understood what it meant to be up on stage no matter how big the crowd size could be overwhelming. “It sounded great. The crowd loved it, I loved it. Shake off the nerves.”

“A plus as in like– we can sneak into the corner and make out a little?” Luke asked with a smirk. “Mhm, how about you? Must be fun having all your friends in one spot.”

“Maybe one more song and we can do that,” Val replied her lips barely hovering near his before she pulled back slightly. “If I’m being honest, I didn’t know all these people would show up.But yeah it’s nice. A couple of them I haven’t seen since I got back.”
