Reflection
In conclusion, I believe I did well on this project, I have managed to make a modern day isometric room without using a lot of textures but still being able to achieve a good room. The techniques such as extruding, Uv editing, lighting were learnt through out this project and were consistently used. I have used every element I could to create an isometric room. Next time I believe I could improve and refine this project in many different ways such as adding more furniture in my design. There are some small mistakes that I noticed such as the tv not being as big as I wanted. The tv looks too much just like a image stuck on a wall. However, overall, I believe the outcome reached is of a good quality and I am proud of my efforts.

Tool/Technique: name/description snapshot 3
The area lighting tool was helpful  as my build consisted of a dark pallet. I was able to change the shape of the  light and angle which was very helpful.
Reason for use: This tool was very useful as it would light up my build and make it easier to see. It also adds different shades of light and dark.

Tool/Technique: name/description snapshot 2
Ctrl + Tab in edit mode lets me bring up vertex, edge, face selection easier. The snap shot I have taken shows me selecting just the face and this allows me to focus on just this face of the object.
Reason for use:  This shortcut is very usefull because it allows you to edit exact parts of the shape which allows for more precise adjustments. It overall is just a very usefull thing to know as sometimes you want to edit the shape but just some parts of it and this tool comes in handy.

Etrude technique, the snap shot shows how I used the extrude function and made the walls have more definition. The technique allowed me to pull more of the shape out and made the all thicker while still keeping everything in correct position
Reason for use:
Justification, I found early on about the extrude function and it has helped me  create the foundation of my build aswell as helping shape items in my build  such as the couch. Extruding simple shapes can make them longer on one side  or you can hollow a shape out. I used it to extrude walls to make them have a  thicker shape. I’ve found this technique very helpful and its probably one of  the most important things I’ve used.

Description of Relevant Implications
User Accessibility: This implication refers to a user’s ability to access and use a piece of digital media. I have made my model free to download but I must be credited as the original creator. As well as this, I have wrote a short and simple description of the piece for any visually impaired users, similar to using the ‘alt text’ function for images on html.
Intellectual Property: Intellectual property is a person’s right to copyright and protect a work. Copyrighting is an act that protects one’s intellectual property under law. If permission is granted, one must always cite sources correctly. I did not use much online textures as I wanted to keep my file size smaller so most textures come from blender its self. I’ve credited some of the tutorials I have used. For my model It is free for downloads but must have my name on it as the original creator.
Sustainability and Future Proofing: This refers to a piece of digital media in how it stands up against the constant progressing social, cultural, and political piece of media. My model will be likely to stand the test of time it has been uploaded on a website (sketch fab) that is popular and is updated to keep up with the trends and advancements of this subject. Due to its nature it is unlikely to become ‘outdated’.
Aesthetics: This refers to how a piece of digital media looks – is it appealing to its users and clean and easy to read/view? When building my model I considered a few rules I had to follow which were making sure the color pallet of my build was sophisticated and not to out going while also retaining attraction to the eye.  It has that trendy look for example the nano panels represent modern day led lamps and it has an apartment building vibe. I think this is aesthetic as it is pleasing to the eye and audience. It grabs people attention with its common look with a twist of something teenagers would recognize.

Mockup --> First Iteration --> Final model
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Mock up; my mockup was very simple and was just trials of my ideas. I stuck to the normal cube and a easy ladder. I was playing around with different types of clouds using the nodes to generate random clouds. My goal going forward was to make a floating room on a cloud.
First iteration: my first iteration was a room on a cloud and I had improved my clouds to work better with my build. I watched a few videos of @PolygonRunway tutorials on how to make a simple base for an isometric room. I was experimenting with lighting and emission to create a trending modern room. My goal going forward was to make the build look a lot more filled and not as small. I wanted to polish up the clouds and the lighting.
Final outcome: my final outcome was a big change from my first iteration as I polished up my clouds and room to have a more poly look. I made the clouds a lot more bigger and fill more gaps so the room wouldn’t just look like a square. I decided to change the led lamps to a common modern day nano leaf panel to give it more of a clean and interesting design as I felt the walls of the build was too bland. I also worked on the lighting aspect of my build as I didn't want it to be supported by just emission from my objects. I took a lot of factors in such as how the co lour pallet worked in the first iteration and I felt like there was too many things going on at once. I decided to stick with the black, grey, white, aqua colour. Overall I think I managed to achieve my goals from my first initial plan.

I added a simple box and extruded it to look like a rectangle and I used this to make my isometric room look a bit more bulky. Before it look too thin because of the wall but these rectangles will make the room look like it has more foundation and give it overall a better look.

end product of adding emission to the panels and I really liked how they turned out but I feel like they are a bit bright but I will adjust that after I make some changes to other parts of my build.

I decided on this pattern and I will add emission to the surface of the panel like my led sticks but I want to try different colors so it would be bright and easier to see the room. Overall I think the panels turned out very good but I feel like the room still feels empty.

after I resized the hexagon shape I stuck them onto a wall and copied them multiple times to create a pattern effect. I’m planning to play around with the order of the panels and maybe replace the led sticks.

I decided my room was still feeling a bit bland so i decided to try and recreate the popular nano leaf panels. I had a rough idea on how to make them as it was just a thin hexagon shape that was stuck to a wall.

since my room was very dark and the dark purple lights did not help as much I decided to just add a few light sources so you could see the room. It doesn’t serve much purpose but to just give some light

this is the finished product and i like it being gray but might try and add a texture to it. I was thinking of a grey steel ladder you would see on the side of buildings. I decided to keep the ladder at this colour because I didn’t want add any textures as I feel it would not work well with my design.

i created a ladder using pipe joints because it was a much faster and easier way to make them. I used the array modifer to duplicate them on both sides to make it even and i adjusted the position of it so i didn’t need to rotate it or anyway
