RTVS Palestine Fundraiser, April 12th-14th

This weekend, Radio TV Solutions will be holding a 3 day marathon fundraiser event for the people of Palestine.

All weekend long, we will be streaming a variety of games and events in an effort to raise money for on-the-ground aid groups and direct Palestinian support campaigns.

The event will not be a traditional stream fundraiser, rather than pointing people at one donation point, we will be suggesting many different support recipients, and you may donate to any of them. You can then submit your donation amount to be tallied into our rough total.

The information document detailing suggested groups/campaigns to support will open up closer to when the event starts, as well as a schedule of events for the weekend. The event will be hosted on my twitch channel, where http://stream.rtvsfundraiser.live/ links to.

Lastly, if you know of any GoFundMe's or similar site campaigns for Palestinians that you trust as legitimate, please send an e-mail to info@rtvsfundraiser.live with links and details, and I will add as many as I can to the event document.

Please tune in and support however you can, whether that be through donations, spreading the word, anything and everything helps. Even if you can't or don't want to tune in, please consider donating. See you this weekend!

Yes, people on the internet are often Very mean, but I admitted to being unironically gay for a 'slab of concrete' in front of thousands of people, recorded in a book until the end of time, and nobody is making fun of me or being mean. Instead, people are cheering me on. Wild. Thankful I think, in general, most people on the internet are nicer than we all may think. We SEE hate and discourse all the time because that's what gets the clicks, that's what riles people up- what we DON'T always see are the simple pleasantries exchanged between folks that occur much, much more often. It's nice to remember that I think

really underrated phenomenon is when some artist gets incredibly attached to like one character from a thing and you see them go from “here’s my fanart of this character! let me know what you guys think!” to creating like fucked up surrealist shit that doesn’t even have to do with ANYTHING the canon is from anymore. Norman R. Morrison was an American anti-war activist. On November 2, 1965, Morrison doused himself in kerosene and set himself on fire below the office of Secretary of Defense Robert McNamara at the Pentagon to protest United States involvement in the Vietnam War, leading to his death. 

 On February 25, 2024, Aaron Bushnell, a 25-year-old serviceman of the United States Air Force, died after setting himself on fire outside the front gate of the Embassy of Israel in Washington. Bushnell said that he was protesting against "what people have been experiencing in Palestine at the hands of their colonizers" and declared that he "will no longer be complicit in genocide", after which he doused himself with a flammable liquid and set himself on fire
