Okok this is an oc lore dump, there is much context needed for this but lowkey Neptune and Mercury came about as byproducts of another story that I made in middle school but this separate storyline is just about them two and it does not mention the original storyline that much .. but it is still sort of important, sorry if that’s contradictory 😞

Neptune and Mercury first of all are formless beings that are found in space that have at most only an emotional conscious, however they are very intelligent beings. They are often depicted in human-esque forms because that’s what they look like on earth. Their “bodies” (which are really just big forms of energies to contain their emotions if that makes sense, sort of like floating particles that stick together but not in a defined shape) take the shape of the common beings on that planet as well as an amalgamation of other beings and organic forms as well. If there is no organic life on a planet they turn into something sort of a rock, which also blends in with the other geological formations on that planet. [it is important to note as well that their forms will only change if there is a well established enough atmosphere where their forms can be contained… if that makes sense..]. This is why Mercury and Neptune do not appear entirely human; example, Neptune has weird ears and flows hair that moves on its own, even without wind nearby, which is caused by his taking on of water and his hair is a direct response to gentle ocean waves on earth, his appearance in that sense seeming a bit more aquatic. Mercury has horns and spiky hair that sort of frays out in the way a beam of light would, not to mention his wild wacky hair color lol. Mercury is a lot more human and takes on the appearance of an organic human more than Neptune does.

To put a long story short, there was a point in the whole Valentino lore timeline where neptune and mercury were trapped in valentinos heart, and they spent a lot of time in solitude there until Valentino died and they were freed, and once they were freed, they spent some more time alone by a creek adapting to what it meant to be sort of “human”. Neptune and Mercury are not humans, and until that point had never seen each other, they only felt each others presence and felt their emotions and communicated in that way. Seeing anything at all was very overwhelming and very new.

However, the closer they got to each other, the more they hurt each other, and as deeply emotionally creatures, they found that they were too similar to each other and eventually parted ways.

Are they together? Are they boyfriends? They are probably the secret third thing.. idk.. but I like yapping abt my ocs (^_−)−☆

i'm so bad with dates i didn't even realize today's numbers were 11 and 12 ASKSKS (also i missed POCKY DAY? man, i had an idea for a doodle for that but oh well. i'll still draw it fdgfdhd)

i almost panicked about not having any art for tskym day bc cmon.... they're my boys........ but thankfully i had a deadline to finish some art prints last week and now here we are pftt

the process for this one is a little different from what i'd consider my usual way of drawing. i usually do lineart, flat colors, rendering, and yadda yadda, but maybe it's because i've been doing a lot of painterly disco elysium art lately that i decided to just paint over the scaled-up thumbnail and see where it takes me! (you can see in the timelapse me struggling over cleanly inking tsukki's face before i went 'screw this' LOL)

drawing this was pretty fun! i always wanted to try out my painterly style outside of disco elysium fanart and now i've done it! (well, done it again, bc i've kind of tried it for kghn day too pftt)

there is still something very charming abt the thumbnail in my humble onion, i don't think i was able to retain the exact silent tenderness in tsukki's face from the thumbnail in the final thing but oh well, c'est la vie dghdj (also me drawing yammers with visible nostrils jumpscare [this is only funny to me ASKSK])
