BIG Brands really do FIGHT over BTS! + Coca-Cola Stole BTS back from Chilsung and made them their new GLOBAL ambassadors!
It’s official! BTS will be working with the largest soft drink company in the world (AGAIN) and this time GLOBALLY as they signed an international contract of great magnitude with Coca-Cola. But the thing not many will tell you is that a bloody WAR occurred for that to happen!!!
Ahead of 2018 FIFA World Cup, BTS became Coca-Cola’s Spokesmen. However, their contract was only limited for S.Korea for a short period. Later BTS got taken away by Coca-Cola’s BIGGEST competitors in Korea, Chilsung Cider that is said to be Korea’s No. 1 original carbonated beverage with a long history. Naturally after that, not only the sales went UP for Chilsung as things were getting SOLD OUT but the brand is now known internationally by many fans thanks to BTS. One industry insider even said that: “BTS’ advertising model fee is the highest in the industry, but their impact is beyond imagination. For brands who want to expand to overseas markets, it’s an opportunity to raise their brand recognition in the shortest amount of time … even BTS’ image is positive, so it helps raise the brand’s image too.” Chilsung definitely wanted to renew with BTS but Coca-Cola stole them back as they are now their global ambassadors.
Let’s note how Coca-Cola even CRIED when they lost BTS the last time!

As soon as BTS’ contract with Chilsung ended, they took them BACK!
Little by little Coca-Cola will launch new commercials in different parts of the world. The Indonesian commercial represented the first preview and already gathered insane feedback as many bet it was BTS’ vocals in the clip (Back then no announcement was yet made that BTS signed with them). Other announcements will gradually be published in other parts of the world.
BUT you know, brands always fight over BTS! Shall I mention The Great Chocolate War!

You can call it marketing but this is the advertisement that is actually entertaining, and it also shows the high demand for BTS. Also, when was the last time you saw big brands fighting so openly over someone? EXACTLY~
