I think it's totally valid for Jacob fans to feel apprehensive about him in S3 without other stans gaslighting you and shutting down this discussion.

The FYC event is a very strange situation and it has nothing to do with Sam and everything to do with AMC.

I got back on Twitter after awhile because people are being more vocal about the situation. And as many have pointed out, even though I understand the importance of focusing on the upcoming season, filming hasn’t even started yet,and FYC is about season 2.

People are quick to claim that Jacob is just busy. Fine. But where are Assad and Delainey? They were also part of season 2, weren’t they?

The moment someone tried to talk about it they were hit with “Jacob loves Sam” or “Jacob is happy for Sam.”

Someone even had the audacity in my post to say AMC wants to protect Assad,Jacob Delainey from ICE in the US...

The other actors deserve respect.

But here, you’re made to feel like if you even mention it, you’re a hater.

this drama about FYC emmy events is weird as hell. and I, like other people, have the right to be "hmmm… what's going on?"

sam is the only one being invited to these events with rolin, but not the lead of the previous seasons? not surprising. some fans (especially fans of color) and i have already been calling it since s2. we knew it was bullshit when nominations were snubbing the poc who played a big role in that season, when certain actors were being left out of promotions.

anyways, a "fuck you" to the fans who tried downplaying this situation and acting like we're overexaggerating, sending hate to the inboxes of everyone critiquing amc. there were even people writing weird rpf fic about jacob needing to "comfort poor sam who is SO nervous at the awards ceremony". watch these hypocrites attempt to express their own outrage now, if they even catch up with reality. 🙄

of course, this is all just our assumptions.

but it's a weird situation and fans, especially Jacob fans have every right to point out how strange this is without being invalidated by other fans with " STOP MAKING STUFF UP" - " JACOB IS BUSY"

Yeah, Jacob has his family and is busy with his new álbum but IWTV it's his job too, Sam doesn't leave australia for anything unless it's something important then you have AMC saying he has to go to FYC events.. so AMC did the same thing with Jacob and he said " no, i am busy"??? Sorry, but i don't think that's how things work.

if AMC convinced Sam to leave his house, they could have convinced Jacob too. are Assad and Delainey are busy too?

MY POINT IS: these FYC events are S2, yeah... Sam and Jacob are the leads of IWTV but S2 is about Louis (Jacob) and you don't have this season's lead also campaigning for an emmy nomination??

it's like AMC is saying that Sam is the only one with the best chance of getting at least a nomination, and he's already going to be the face of next season so a win is a win, so why waste time with Jacob or even Delainey? can you see my train of thought??
