WHAT I THINK IS CANON THAT PEOPLE COMMONLY MAKE MISTAKES ABOUT
Griffin was not 7 when he was taken. He was 10 years old, and was in the basement for BARELY a month. There is no evidence in the movie stating he was 7.
Finney is not afraid of horror movies. He doesn’t really seem to be visibly afraid of much. All he said was that his dad would never let him watch TCM because it was Rated R. (Thank you to dogguq for saying this)
Vance wouldn’t be abusive. Assuming someone would be abusive just because they have anger issues is harmful and stigmatizing.
Bruce’s parents are not abusive and they are not controlling. It is CLEAR in the movie that they loved Bruce more than anything. They care for him.
Robin wouldn’t be flirty. He is just friendly, and just because he’s bold in fighting doesn’t mean he’ll be bold in everything else.
