We’re back, plugging Issue’s computer like, simulation-esque, journey inducing freaky bits that I know you guys are gonna be bumping hard to. I’m fascinated by this guy, the work produced can range from a pixel-perfect piece all the way up to something that looks like a Tron bike has just zoomed through.
The colours of each piece are cleverly mixed with deep dark mysterious blacks, purples and greys crossing swords with vibrant neons. Normally I would be attracted to the neons like a moth to a flame, not here though. I’m diving into those deep blacks from the top platform and losing myself. Everything marries together in perfect harmony no matter what style is chosen.
Issue is a pretty mysterious dude, no links to a website as far as I can see, but you know I’ve been snooping. Some tagged images have shown him working and a story today had a butt load of what I think is Russian. So... I’m gonna guess he is Russian, but where he is currently based is a complete mystery to me. If you can find out gimme a holla holla y’all, if not peep his insta

Aite chapperonis and chappettes. I’ve been neglecting this blog way too much, but we’re back and we're looking at 灵丹... I couldn’t tell if this was their name but considering all their masterpieces feature it, I’m gonna roll with it.
I love all alphabets from the Far East/Eastern Asia, they’re design is so well thought out and brillo to look at. Also if you ever see a calligraphist writing out any of the alphabets prepare for your brain to leave your ass because that shit is next level.
So to see the work of 灵丹 banging out the Chinese alphabet pukkas in such a stylistic and new way really ollies my skateboard. I love how each piece features the two characters of the alphabet almost as characters in themselves. Like sometimes 灵丹 is holding a pizza, sometimes a keyboard. It’s taking what I love in graffiti with the almost throw-up style of writing mixed with character-based art.
A few pieces have been showing up in America, but to pinpoint down where 灵丹 work is mainly... I have no clue. But I’m sure if you have a look on their Instagram you’ll get an idea eventually. You can find them on

Back to Amsterdam to cop the super styles that Soña Lee is pushing out. As you can see from the pictures, Soña’s art incorporates funky yet clean characters. All these characters feature in a range of colours that make my eyes water in the best way possible. Everything is vibrant. Popping so hard Andy Warhol would be impressed. Again, like a lot of the artists I feature on here, Soña seems to know how to marry colours together. Vibrant is hard too. So many vibrant colours contrast and overpower. But not here. It’s like a perfectly made mojito that doesn’t bore with every sip. As for the characters, I mean look at them. Each character, pattern or mark is unique but still easily recognisable as the work of Soña. Everything looks so weird but completely normal at the same time. Like a blue alien playing cards with a bear, squirrel and cow just ain’t your normal day thing. But here it looks so casual. I want to grab a chair and sip some of that red wine whilst chuffing on a cigar. All of her work is brilliantly off kilter and you need to peep it on the fly for suuuuuure. To do so find her on

Olivier Schimmel, an Amsterdam based brotherman has been killing it as of recent with is steezy abstract graffiti. Although Olivier might not be producing his work thick and fast like some others, each one is special. I get these Picasso-esque vibes pouring out of his art that zips me back to my youth. The shapes, colours and just general aesthetic are completely different from other things I’ve seen before. Yes, I know I’ve posted a lot of abstract stuff and yes I don’t know every artist in the world, so if you think that the last statement is a bit false, shoot me. But Olivier is delivering some fresh new waves to me, I look at this and think got dayum that’s a nice piece! I’m hoping that we will see more of this and I might even take a trip to ADE just to try and spot some, the north side will probably hold a bit of Olivier's work. In the meantime, you can check his work on Instagram

Sorry the updates have been off-kilter, fam problems as well as general life giving me straight bullshit daily. But we gon be back with more of my brain words vomited out onto a keyboard, not literally, and updated on the internet for you to look at.
Now, signs are pretty boring. I used to drive past them, RIP my car that recently died :*(, and pay about as much attention as I would to Trump’s ideas on global warming. Cret saw this opportunity and thought about how it could all change. If you look through their Instagram you’ll see various different signs painted on in different manners to get either bare comedic value out or send a message to all you mark ass tricks walking/driving past. Each one is completely different from the last yet brilliant in its own nature. I personally like the no entry sign that’s on fire. I don’t know why but it just resonates with my inner soul. I’m still pretty stacked in life atm but will be writing more and hopefully getting some interviews out for you soon! In the meantime check out Cret on

I’m a huge fan of Oxalien. Hold your breath as an interview will be featured v v v v v v v v v soon. Just need to get my shit together. Get all my shit, put it in a bag, get my shit together. So following him led me to Doodkonijn. These two seem to collaborate often due to styles that somewhat crossover. She has this nice bunny character that seems to be wearing his skeleton on the outside. That, or one of those classic skeleton costumes you wore when you were like 5 running around the hood jackin’ sweets. Lol JK no jackin’ sweets from this guy, only polite pleases and thankyous. Aside from her work with the bunny she also does some dragon unicorn like thing, as well as various other characters. Everything is easy to recognise as her style and although no two characters are styled exactly the same they seem to pull together nicely. You can see that from the images but you should deffo check her out on

I’ve been bang on ignorance1 for bare time now. Really dig all his work to the highest degree. He’s doing stuff that I haven’t seen on instagram because it could be a lil bit too outrageous. As you can see from the images he is a bit of a specialist in creating wavy, pukkas designs on baggy’s. I remember Vice doing an article on the design of baggy’s and some of them crack me up. Ignorance, on the other hand, smashes them out and they look fire fiya. Whether or not you partake in the world of uppers/downers and everything in-between, you have definitely seen one of these before and know how small the area to design on is. So to squeeze a graphic that looks so clean and fresh and somewhat comical is a stroke of genius. Next time you’re blazing it with your buds or sowing on buttons onto your jeans, pick that baggy up and think of the wonderful work of ingorance1. Get your fill on

Gwen stock is a crazy artist. When I first clicked on her profile I was like “oh shit… is this like some old wood-engraved book images?” Then I started to concentrate on the smaller details of her work and was weirded out in the most amazing way. Currently working out of Rotterdam, Gwen illustrates for various different clients. I don’t know if all her work featured on Instagram is her client’s work. If it is she’s got some hella whack clients that dig her crazy art style. I would try and explain where the thought process comes from but I urge you to head to her website gwenst.com where she gives a good insight into why she does it. In all honesty, I ain’t got the brains to fully understand her explanation or the gusto to explain myself. What I love about her work from a purely aesthetic view is that everything is so off-kilter. There’s people with Brussel sprouts/cabbage for heads, faces on peoples bodies and all kinds of other crazy stuff. I really think you get on the Instagram on

Holy heck in a holey donut, we’re back with another character based artist whomping out the grand designs on the regs. Mikko Umi, a French-based artist from Malo Beach, is absolutely sending some curvaceous designs that look both friendly and bold. I’ve seen some similar workaround like in apps like headspace and 100 ways to die, all bright characters that my brain kind of links to Mr Men. However, Mikko adds in his own bit of spicy life on little details. The eyes of most of his designs have this half-filled pupil that is like nothing I’ve seen before. Considering most of his work is popping with vibrant colours, which look hella gnarly btw, these half white half black eyes seem to pop like the spots of an adolescent boy. A lot of the work completed by Mikko is illustrative work so not everything is on walls. He has done a few bits which seem to be painted by hand, nuts I know. However, this shouldn’t put you off, as you can see by the images everything produced is straight steeze and you should keep updated as much as possible. Check him out on

Every now and then I see the work of this top don Bibbitaro pop up on my feed and am taken away by it. Now I know I’m a fan of characters but this one really intrigues me. I think it’s because when I was younger I used to draw some character-like things. These characters used to have big black eyes much like Bibbitaro’s. I just find it adds mad amount of mystery & clean pukkas to a character. Bibbitaro has been smashing out these characters as you can see by the lovely pictures in an array of different outfits, with some featuring no body at all. Each time you get the classic 3 eyes that appear to be looking at you but not at the same time. How can you tell where he is looking he ain’t got no pupils brah. You should have a gander through and see if you think he’s looking at you on

If you like pure unadulterated chaos in it’s most beautiful form then you are going to downright shake your tail feather when you see the work of BLANCBEC. He brings together vibrant popping colours with steezy characters plonked on the page in such a confusing manner that it becomes perfect. I had absolutely no clue how this was done until viewing one of his posts. I thought maybe its stickers made then stuck on top of each other, maybe it’s hours work getting everything neat and straight and perfect or maybe its Maybelline, you’ll never know. Guess what, all painted. My marbles straight up dropped on the floor and rolled away when finding this out. Look at the detail. No seriously look. On top looking at the details you should also look at more of his work on

I love characters. The fact these artists can find one that sticks to them like a piece of duct tape amazes me. What amazes me even more is that this character is then repeated perfectly throughout time. Mao Oplês is a don at this. Their little dog creature is a tight little design, that pops with colour and is repeated so well each time it’s instantly recognisable. Fuck man, try getting me to draw something twice exactly the same and I’ll be in the corner weeping like a baby who’s candy just got stolen. But then Mao is constantly pumping out the work quicker than those well fast trains in Japan that zoom around on magnets. On top of Mao’s amazing work with the dawg, this style they’ve developed has transferred across over to other animals and even humans. You should check out all their other bits on

Nostalgia train, all aboard. Next stop, another memory from my childhood. When I was younger I got blessed with the opportunity to try a nice bit of linocut. this is where you carve out of what I remember being a tyre at the time, ink it up and whatever you didn’t carve away prints. Mine looked like trash if I remember correctly because I went at the tyre like some mad serial killer would his victim. Many of my fellow dudes around me did exactly the same. Pretty much the process was hard as balls. Skip forward to the present day and I find the stunning work of Wietse. What you see before you is what, in my eyes, looks a lot like a linocut. Except on a huge scale and done to perfection. The small details like the little homes on the polar bears back and the hair on his multiple human figures is outstanding. To think that Wietse is standing there for hours just making these little marks amazes me because I’d be bored after the first 5. Dedication to the artwork big time here. You should dedicate your time to seeing more of Wietse on

Holy balls these are some dank colours. Popping and locking like my cousins 16th when we played paintball. This is the work of Thierry Noir, an extremely talented artist who is well known for his paintings on the Berlin wall. Since then he has been absolutely slamming it. His work is seen on the side of a lot of huge building always in that unique style he has developed over the years. I think I’ve seen some of this work somewhere before and let me tell you, it is bold and unique, and the colours are ridiculously vivid. Straight pop in yo face. God knows how Noir gets it looking so fresh and clean without drowning in paint. Either way, I’m going to keep checking for more of his work and I recommend you do too on

Andrea Casciu, what can I say. The work is next level. It actually touches a weird sentimental level with me and my days as a budding graphic designer at uni. Whilst spending way too much to learn typography I got the opportunity to try some wood engraving. It’s a very old process that I deffo don’t see anymore. The only people that would probably do it now are historians of type and printing processes. or people genuinely amazed by it’s aesthetic. You might also get some hipster fuckwit scrawling jargon on wood to try and one-up their other hipster friends. What I’m trying to say here is that this shit ain’t easy, it takes a lot of practice to perfect and look really nice. So to transfer this onto a wall is mad amazing, in which Andrea seems to capture it perfectly. What’s more is that Andrea completes a few of these using the good ol’ paintbrush. The time and effort of each piece is outstanding and you need to check out more of it ASAP: on

Huge graffiti is fo’ sho’ gonna turn some heads. But what happens when that huge graffiti incorporates mad patterns & minute details. Heads are gonna be spinning non-stop for weeks. That was my reaction when looking at the wondrous work of SEMOR. Whoever the hell Semor is they have a knack for creating large characters that span huge spaces. But the detail of each one is mad. If it’s black & white or colour the shading is perfect each time. It almost looks like an oil painting. On top of this, there are small little details such as patterns etc. that contrast with the characters being produced. Altogether it creates a piece that is brain busting with the number of textures, yet harmonious like a sweet symphony played on a succulent summer morning. Semor has mad amounts of work for you to check out on
