The time bro almost ended up destroying everyone and everything by using an untested, miniaturized black hole. That's what you get for using theoretical physics in your Ninpo formulas, Donnie! Don't be too hard on him though, he was having a bad day.

I have such a soft spot for these two like ya would not believe, and the development on this beautiful story its so awesome I got no words for the whole thing, I finally got time to catch up to it and the tears where pouring and then the chapters with these to are where balm to my soul I need to squeeze these guys

the natural inverse of this is that Hickory has probably picked up a lot of Pop tunes from Floyd

The Dream AU: This is an idea I've had for a while but imagine Floyd attempting to teach Lisi (is that how you spell it?) how to yodel. Hickory has tried to teach him in the past... Key word tried. Floyd's not very good at it.

But Floyd still tried to teach his daughter because he other dad isn't around to do it! Hence the following interaction:

Bruce: What are you doing?

Floyd:.... Yodeling...

Bruce:... Is it supposed to sound like a dying cat?

Floyd: Oh shut up! I'm a Pop Troll, it's not my fault I can't do it!

Pffgh. See, the way I like to interpret it, I don't think Floyd is necessarily bad at yodeling, he at the very least has the basics down. It's just kind of a tricky genre to master for someone who wasn't literally born for it, and it doesn't help that Floyd's natural singing ability is pretty shot for a while post-rescue anyway.

But he wants (pretty desperately) for Lisi to know both halves of her heritage, and to help her build that connection to music even if she can't sing it herself, so he does try his best for her

luckily as time goes on and he gets further into recovery he's able to regain a lot of his musical ability, so he's able to do yodeling justice eventually

(plus Bruce is still new to the whole "other kinds of trolls" idea so he does genuinely appreciate getting to hear some of it, even if it's coming from Floyd)
