Telling on myself but I also have this too. However I've always constructed in my head my visitor was either a passing Guaridan Angel or just someone from the other side coming to visit in order to remember what it's like to be here. Almost like my life is a TV show for them. So sometimes I talk "to the audience" over all kinds of topics.

The downside to this is that while I've conditioned myself to do things I found/find funny for my audience to witness [as things I've seen on actual TV growing up]. . . It tends to come off as either hurtful, rude or off-putting to the people in the here around me.

But I .... ive done it for all my life so I can't turn it off. I've tried to explain this to my partner. He...kinda gets it.

I only recently started doing this. What's kind of amazing is seeing how my work evolves over time when I introduce elements to the story and suddenly the story starts going off the script I originally had. . . But in a totally organic way that flows and makes it even better.

Im not really sad about the stuff that gets left behind in the cuts or has become unusable in the current iteration of the story I'm working on because I could always rework the cut stuff into a whole other story.

Im planning to keep doing this for every new story I write. It's really helped me keep a great structure and see how much new life the story creates for itself.

Honestly I'm going to beg to differ.

On Matthew's behalf: He came to Jay and discussed openly what he wanted. After a miscommunication, which Matthew talked to him to clear up, the two came to the conclusion they could be good friends with benefits which is a valid type of relationship.

If anything I loved how open the relationships were in this season because as a Gay Polyamours person myself, it was nice to see Jay being able to be fluid as well because he seems to thrive from that.

Now I will totally agree that the Jay and Lola side of things still was toxic - much like how we had in S7 the whole relationship deal with Danni and Travis. Their relationship was purely sexual and Danni knew this and kind of hated it. She wanted a guy who'd treat her nicely but also wanted pleasure. Being a hormonal teen, she opted for the immediate gratification of Travis. I will give her props for at least giving Nick a shot - because you never know - but sadly it didn't work out for them.

Jay and Lola have that same instant gratification but can't really connect mentally with one another right now because they're constantly hurting each other.. and now that Lola is only just beginning to understand other people having feelings, it'll take her some time to get to a point of emotional connection that's not plagued by insecurities.

But the fact that all three are understanding they enjoy the idea of fluid relationships (Jay already having embraced this) and breaking out of the stereotypical norm was actually super awesome to see. This isn't something showcased often and more often than not it's less in a positive light.

It does also give you the added bonus of choosing your own future ideal happiness for the chatacers involved so I'd say they gave the fans a chose your own win type of deal. (I know it 1000% gave me the perfect Segway to my OT3 XD)

All that is to say having open and fluid relationships are perfectly valid and not too uncommon in the LGBTQIA scene.

the way none of jay lola or matthew got a good ending with their whole love triangle side plot. No healthy relationships just the situationship of freakiness doom and despair

Hi if you're in North Carolina please contact your representative about opposing House Bill 636. HB636 is being pushed rapidly through the North Carolina legislature. Referred to as “Promoting Wholesome Content for Students,” this expensive and redundant bill is REALLY BAD for North Carolina public school students.

Under HB636, selection of books for our libraries would be taken out of librarian's hands and placed in the hands of a local community advisory committee with no training or experience in book review and selection.

Under HB636, school library materials could be removed from a collection with the submission of ten written objections from anyone in the county.

Under HB636, book fair materials would be subject to an impossible timeline of approval, which would mean most schools could no longer host fairs. That line of library funding, which for many schools is the only funding they receive, would be gone.

Under HB636, a database of rejected library materials would have to be maintained and made public, effectively creating a state-sponsored banned books (and authors) list.

Under HB636, any resident of a county would be able to bring a cause of action against a school for perceived violations of the bill, resulting in a potential award of $5,000 per violation.

All of this is laid out using vague language and subjective definitions that can be easily misinterpreted and manipulated. As a school librarian myself, I find this bill incredibly worrying.

I have never set foot into New York City but I am now very knowledgeable about the layout of downtown Manhatten, Time Square, Central Park and the subway train rail routes and times that criss cross all over the area.

I am now very familiar with the layout if the Lyric Theater inside and out.

And now I know a ton about Tuscany and the fact you can rent the Villa from the movie Under the Tuscan Son for about 10k a week that can house over 10 people.

Doing insane research for a fic to get details correct is just as much a rush as writing the porn itself.

Love when writers do an insane amount of unnecessary research for their fics. I follow an author that did like 8 months of intense research into 14th century Scotland so they could write smut about it, and guess what. It was some fucking incredible porn AND I learned about old Scottish politics
