Random though but Yi. TSHD is the shit thus far. I'm actually juggling like four Anime right now. The others being Witchwatch, DanDaDan, and Kaiju No.8.

Blew through My Daemon in a two sit. It was good. Didn't expect to cry like a Bitch but did. Think I mentioned I blew through Leviathan as well but if I didn't I binged that one the day it dropped. That one was good too and gave me some feeling of validation~ Allegory is gonna allegory so I gotta take the rep where I can.

Also random, I had this pretty awesome and crazy Family Guy dream, where the main cast (Fam + Quagmire, Cleveland and Joe) were exploring this huge cave and found this old ass ship and worked to fix it up. Then the cave flooded and they sailed the ship out of the cave because it was right by the ocean.

And because it's me this was a "Quagmaire Plot A, Meg Plot B" type "episode". Wacky hijinks were had in only the way Family Guy can make them make sense but it made for a pretty cool dream.

And I still have so many Big Mouth projects I wanna work on.

As well as an original project that's been on my mind over the past year. Probably gonna upset a lot of people but I don't care at this point. I'm tired of watching lies and propaganda destroy lives and making people feel unsafe.

So ima draw about it. Help get this anger and fear out and make into something usefull. If I can push myself into starting.

Everybody has something... maybe one, maybe two things that are irrefutable truths to their core despite whatever the hell anyone else says.

I have at least two. Two things I will DIE ON A HILL for 1000x over. Today I share one:

SIMON SEVILLE IS THE OLDEST BROTHER. I CANT STRESS THIS ENOUGH.

Im from an age were I grew up with this show and every reiteration of it. Each one changes things up a bit but it was always - to me, in my brain and soul - irrefutable that Simon was the oldest.

Somewhere along the way though, Alvin being the oldest gain some footing and it irritates the daylights outta me. All the evidence we have in every show and movie shows Alvin with a characteristically middle child behavior while Simon has a typical older brother complex between having to watcher over both Alvin and Theodore and also the bickering he and Alvin get into consistently.

Alvin being the lead in the band is all due to him Being the most charismatic, not the oldest. He's good with people and the face. A responsibility Simon is glad not to have.

Anywho just glad the most recent iteration of this show established this fact with Ross Bagdasarian Jr himself saying out of his mouth as Dave that Alvin was the middle child, "We just don't like to tell him that."

Telling on myself but I also have this too. However I've always constructed in my head my visitor was either a passing Guaridan Angel or just someone from the other side coming to visit in order to remember what it's like to be here. Almost like my life is a TV show for them. So sometimes I talk "to the audience" over all kinds of topics.

The downside to this is that while I've conditioned myself to do things I found/find funny for my audience to witness [as things I've seen on actual TV growing up]. . . It tends to come off as either hurtful, rude or off-putting to the people in the here around me.

But I .... ive done it for all my life so I can't turn it off. I've tried to explain this to my partner. He...kinda gets it.

I only recently started doing this. What's kind of amazing is seeing how my work evolves over time when I introduce elements to the story and suddenly the story starts going off the script I originally had. . . But in a totally organic way that flows and makes it even better.

Im not really sad about the stuff that gets left behind in the cuts or has become unusable in the current iteration of the story I'm working on because I could always rework the cut stuff into a whole other story.

Im planning to keep doing this for every new story I write. It's really helped me keep a great structure and see how much new life the story creates for itself.
