Hi, I noticed you go to many gigs and I was wondering do you go alone and how do you plan about going to gigs? I hope this isn’t intrusive, I don’t have many friends and I’m just worried going alone.

hiya!!

personally i’ve not had to go to a gig on my own yet! i travel on my own most of the time and meet friends at the city/ venue!

but i will say don’t be worried at all!! most of the friends i go to gigs now with i met at concerts! and i know loads of my mates go to gigs on their own, it’s definitely nerve wrecking the first time but you’d rather that then miss out on seeing a gig!

I think the constantly changing crew doesn't help. It must be a little frustrating for Van, he's been playing CATB shows for years and knows exactly how he likes things to be done but then he's gotta put his trust in a new crew (who are basically strangers and probably haven't even been to a CATB show before) to make sure the show runs smoothly and everything looks and sounds good.

this exactly! my mate did the two ireland shows too and you could tell things were running smoother at those apparently! guess they just need time to learn how catfish likes it 😅

it is a shame that non of the crew from the last few years are with them anymore, some had been there since like 2015/2016. i’ve heard some of them couldn’t do these shows due to scheduling so maybe when catfish do proper tours again some of the crew will be back? 🙏
