I wanted to commission a piece showing Elain and Lucien being separated by circumstances, but still tied together by fate. With Lucien stationed at the Spring Court and Elain still staying at the Night Court, I wanted to leave little Easter eggs for both courts.

@jacqueillustrates absolutely killed it. She created these house insignia’s for each court’s bedsheets. The Night Court got the mountain with the stars, and the Spring Court got the roses and thorns. Then in the middle where they meet is tied together with the mate bond.

Thank you so much @jacqueillustrates for creating this extraordinary art! Of course it turned out even more beautiful than I imagined! I’m completely mesmerized by it 💗💗

I always wondered what Lucien may have felt when he reached the end of Elain’s bond, and what Elain may have meant when she said that all she needed was sunshine. A future built off of the backs of two people seemingly lost in this world who found their way to one another. (Ft. Grandpa’s sunshine)

@elainweekofficial Day Six — Earthwork

“The gates to her mind ... Solid iron, covered in vines of flowers - or it would have been. The blossoms were all sealed, sleeping buds tucked into tangles of leaves and thorns.” (ACOWAR)

“And I remember the entire time I was ripping out the ivy, and trying to get some semblance of order into the garden beds, I just slipped into Elain’s head. Elain is a gardener, and everything I did during those weeks became research for her book. I’m not even joking, Elain’s now going to have dreams about ripping ivy out and the ivy creeping in through the windows to strangle her at night, because let me tell you, that ivy does not want to go.”

A mix of multiple prompts, Elain has a guarded mind at the moment; both from others and from herself. Her act of pretending to be normal has cracks within the facade and it is only a matter of time before the ivy wins. I am so excited to see Elain freed from this torment and to be inside of her head during her healing journey!

I LOVE it when artists depict a very clear dynamic between lovers, so much so that I could literally ship that couple without even knowing them. I hope I’ve managed to draw enough of the kind of dynamic I envision for Elucien. It’s not the full scope of what I imagine them to be like, but certainly a chunk of it!

And also… I heard that the people who voice Elain and Lucien both ship Elucien. If that’s true, I‘m gonna scream. You know how the voice actor of Zuko made a fan audio in which Zuko confesses his love for Katara? I need something like this for Elucien 😭

Gwynriel WIP. I might have to change some poses and rearrange them all. It’s just not as good as the Elucien piece and it’s bugging me.

Elucien bedroom habits (as in SLEEP habits you animals)

Both Elain and Lucien read before bed

But as soon as Elain starts yawning Lucien is quick to shut his book and make himself avaliable for cuddling

Lucien is a grade A clingy sleeper

He wants skin contact in some form during the night

Elain often wakes up to find him curled around her and tucking her into his chest

He sleeps with a big smile on his face so she stays put even when she gets warm

Elain sleep mumbles

It's nonsensical and contains random words that are on her mind

Lucien easily soothes her by petting her hair

Sleeping alone is no go

If there is ever any bickering, they will still sleep side by side and hold hands at least

Nap culture is aliveee in this relationship

Especially outside on a picnic blanket or under a tree
