Can You Vape Water – Or Even Alcohol?
Can You Vape Water – Or Even Alcohol?
The thick cloud, the intense excitement, the thrill, the numerous ways and styles to exhale, name them, add the flavor in the cloud, who would not want more of that. For a beginner in vaping, this must be something they cannot sleep without wondering what more they could vape. The infatuation that vaping brings keeps them on their toes. Newcomers in the scene have weird questions like can you vape water? Are there water vapor electronic cigarettes? Some even go an extra mile to question if the same would apply for alcohol.
Since PG (Propylene Glycol) and VG (Vegetable Glycerin) are special liquids that you can put in a vape pen, they are a safe landing, unlike water. So, many wonders since water are all natural and they can drink it, can they vape water or is there a dedicated water vapor cigarette? So, what is the essence of vaping pure water? Why would someone want to inhale very hot steam which could burn their mouth, or cause severe injuries? Also, why vape water if it would not give that thick smoke? The vape would be too watery to give that ideal vaping experience.
Don’t Give Vaping Water Too Much Thought
Well, water is occasionally used for high concentrations of VG juices. Water makes the juices wick more easily. Generally speaking, VG is highly viscous which might be problematic to some tanks if the juice is not cut with something else. Also, for people with PG allergies, they tend to use distilled water whereby they cut the juices with approximately 5 to 15% depending on personal preference and extent of the allergy. Though, if the urge to vape water is imminent, there are some basic things someone ought to know.
Can You Put Water in a Vape and What Are the Likely Outcomes?
Only water vapor
When vaping water, water vapor is the ultimate result, nothing more! When smoking it in, water vapor tends to condense in the mouth. Since it is pretty hot, there are higher chances that it might damage the mouth, burn either the lips or tongue or both and may also burn the pharynx. By the time it reaches the lungs, it will be almost at body temperature and will do very little or no harm to the alveoli. Though with regular water vaping, there is no assurance that this might be the ultimate turn of events.
There is no fun in it
The psychological effect of vaping is all the thrill and excitement of blowing the huge clouds and having fun. Well, with vaping water, don’t expect that. Once inhaled, it quickly condenses and turns back into the water. So, all the heavy clouds will not be experienced. It would be a great disappointment since what comes out is basically nothing or if anything at all, colorless steam.
No flavors
Adding flavors to the water to improve the vaping water experience might as well be a waste of effort. Water is not very good with flavors and when vaping, one might get only a slight whiff if any at all, but do not expect much from it.
So, what if the need to go a notch higher and vape alcohol come in?
Is Vaping Alcohol Realistic?
To begin with, the idea of vaping alcohol is rather astonishing and some will call it crazy. On the brighter side, this craze does not involve vape tanks. That would be very strenuous and almost next to impossible. The alcohol is vaped through the Vapshot or similar instruments. The idea is to heat the alcohol from a source of heat and inhale it. Well, one must be very tired of sipping the drink to want to try this out.
Though vaping of alcohol is possible, but more caution is needed. In order to vape whichever form of alcohol of choice, only small portions are needed.
To begin with, vaped alcohol does not go to the liver, which primarily breaks down the alcohol to what the body can handle. Rather, when the alcohol hits the alveoli, it gets directly absorbed into the blood and hence caused a faster buzz as well as an impromptu high. Apart from the serious high one is likely to get, there are also some health and safety risks associated with the vaping of alcohol. The chances of overdose are very much likely as compared to the habitual drinking of alcohol. Since there is no measure of the exact level of high one feels while inhaling the vapor, taking too much alcohol is likely to happen.
In the event of the overdose, inhaled alcohol cannot be purged out by vomiting which is the body’s defense from alcohol poisoning. Rather, the consumed alcohol stays longer in the bloodstream and causes easy collapse by the user. On the continued use of vaped alcohol, chances of addiction are also heightened. Also, the inhaled alcohol can facilitate the nasal passage to infections since it generally dries the passage out. This may also in turn cause nerve damage, brain swelling and dementia.
Well, isn’t this too much effort to put just to get drunk considering the fact that one could simply just gulp the drink in matters of minutes? It is also good to note that all the risks of vaping water would still apply to vaping alcohol. It is really hot, messy and painful. This is a definite turn off considering that the actual deal is flawless.
The Last Word About Vaping Water and Alcohol
It is possible to vape both water and alcohol though is it really worth it? Does it spark that thrill? Does it give the excitement and the physiological satisfaction of vaping? That is a definite No! Then it would be highly suggested not to vape either of the two. Stick to vaping the VG and PG juices they are totally worth every effort and excitement they give.

HOW TO BUY NEW VAPE COILS - BEGINNERS GUIDE
HOW TO BUY NEW VAPE COILS - BEGINNERS GUIDE
Though most portable vaporizers are different in the ways in which they go about heating and delivering smoke or vapor, there are several components to vape pens that are shared by every model. One such component is the vape battery: every vaporizer pen must have something that powers it. Another such component is the mouthpiece through which the consumer inhales the vapor or smoke.
Just as vital as the battery and mouthpiece, however, is the vaporizer’s atomizer-- the heating chamber into which the consumer places the wax or dry herbs that they wish to vaporize. Depending on what substance you're using, every atomizer or vape coil is different.
Dry Herb atomizers are usually designed with a pancake style coil or a convection oven heating chamber where you can cook and truly vaporize dry herbs. Wax atomizers can be manufactured with a few different types of components: Wick Coils, ceramic rod coils, ceramic donut coil, and dual quartz coils. Eliquid Tanks are also atomizers used for vaping eliquids or ejuice. Those atomizers use cotton with the coil. Then there are oil cartridges, which can be wick or ceramic based vape coils. This type of oil is thicker than ejuice. So it's better to use wick or ceramic in the coil. Ceramic is better to use because the oil flavor is a lot better.
While all vaporizers have some iteration of an atomizer, not all atomizers are created equal. When assessing an atomizer, it is important to keep a number of factors in mind: The substance for which it is used, the sort of battery by which it must be accompanied, and how much wax or dry herbs may be placed into it before it is filled.
MULTI-PURPOSE ATOMIZERS
One of the main aspects for many vaporizers is the coil -- the heating element that heats the dry herbs, wax, ejuice or oil that are placed into the atomizer.
While there exist many different kinds of vape coils, there is only one that is widely available and is compatible with both dry herbs and wax. It is what is known as a pancake coil. This small titanium heating element is round and flat and is found in a number of different multi-purpose vaporizers, including theAtmos Rx, theAGO G5 vaporizer, and theAGO Junior vape pen.
It is important to note that a single pancake coil should not be used forboth dry herbs and wax: Though pancake coils are compatible with both, using one particular vape coil for both substances will clog the atomizer and will severely shorten its lifespan.
WAX ATOMIZERS
While there are some atomizers that are compatible with both wax and dry herbs, there are many others that are only compatible with one substance or the other. There are a number of different wax atomizers available for vaporizers that only handle wax and shatter.
Among the more moderately priced -- though among the most portable -- wax vape pens is the Pocket Vape Pen for wax. When people first started using vaporizers, such as the Micro G pen and Pocket Vape, wick coils were being used. The problem with wick coils is that it gives off a harsh flavor when vaping wax. Now, people are using either ceramic or dual quartz vape coils, which significantly improved the flavor when vaping shatter or wax.
Ceramic Rod Coils were made to improve the flavor of the wax. Ceramic has high heat retention, making it a better alternative to wick designed coils. The pocket vape pen is the only vaporizer in our store that uses a ceramic rod vape coil.
Finally, the most celebrated vape coil type is the quartz rod coil. Glass-like in nature, the quartz rod conducts heat most efficiently and thereby ensures that the least amount of wax is wasted per vaping session. It is also known for producing the best-flavored vapor.
Most vape pens are only able to accommodate one atomizer or heating chamber, which, while making a given pen more lightweight and thus more portable, nonetheless limits the amount of vapor that a consumer is able to produce from that particular atomizer and pen. In the beginning, wax pen atomizers only came with one ceramic or quartz rod coil.
Newer generations of portable vape pens, however, have considerably increased the number of coils and atomizers that a vape may accommodate. For example, the popularYocan Evolve Plus features a wax atomizer that is both large in size and includes dual quartz rod coils.
Things can get even more intense from there. TheYocan Pandon wax pen features two separate wax atomizer heating chambers, each with dual quartz rod coils. That amounts tofour quartz coils and two wax atomizers for one wax vaporizer or dab pen. The atomizers are also larger than those of normally-sized vaporizers, meaning that, when filled with wax, this vape is able to deliver a larger hit than anyone but the more advanced vape user will likely find a vape pen like this to be very comfortable or fun to use.
An often-overlooked aspect of wax atomizers is the material out of which the actual heating chamber is made, not just the heating coil. Glass, for example, is frequently the substance out of which many wax atomizers are made, due to its ability to produce better-flavored vapor or smoke. An example of this is the Glass Globe Wax Atomizer, compatible with multiple vaporizers, including the original Micro G Pen, the Pocket Vape, and the Atmos Thermo.
DRY HERBS ATOMIZERS
To makes things simple, there are two types of dry herb atomizers: Atomizers that create combustion and atomizers that help truly vaporize the dry herbs. The AGO G5 and Yocan 94F combusts dry herbs. If you want to truly vaporize your dry herbs from these two vape pens, then you need to buy glass screen filters. The purpose of the glass screen filters is to create separation between the dry herbs and the coil. (You can check out our article about how to use glass screen filters) As long as there's separation, then the heat coming from the coil will vaporize the dry herbs rather than burn them.
Portable Vaporizers that truly vape your dry herbs, utilize what is called convection oven technology-- that is, they produce vapor from dry herbs without having the herbs come into direct contact with the heating element.
As we learned earlier, the material out of which the atomizer is made may often influence the taste of the vapor that the vaporizer produces. For example, theTitan 2 Vaporizer, a dry herb convection-oven vaporizer, has an atomizer that is made of stainless steel. While better than some other substances for conducting actual heat -- and therefore better at actually heating up the dry herbs quickly -- the substance nonetheless may often produce a vapor that has a more metallic taste.
There are also dry herb vaporizers with convection ovens that are made of ceramics. These vape pens -- some of which includethe E-CLIPSE and theStoner Joe --create vapor that is often more flavorful than that produced by stainless steel or other components.
E-LIQUID TANKS
E-liquid Tanks or atomizers are built very differently than dry herb or wax atomizers because ejuice is a completely different substance than dry herbs and wax. In order to vape eliquids or oils, you need to have a chamber within the atomizer where the cotton wick or ceramic coils are protected and there are only small holes in the chamber for the liquid or oil to slowly enter into. If the coils weren't protected, you would only be able to vape a very small amount of ejuice at a time.
There are many different sizes for eliquid tanks or atomizers. For example, there are the Q Tank and the Kamry X6 Atomizer available at Vape Vet Store. The Q-Tank can store 2ml of liquid and the X6 can store 4ml. Another difference with eliquid tanks is the resistance. The lower the resistance, the more voltage you can use to create thicker clouds of smoke. The higher the resistance, the smoother the vapor will be. The Q-Tank has a higher resistance than the X6 atomizer, meaning you can only heat the Q-Tank at 40 watts and the X6 can be vaped using 60 watts.
If you ever wanted to vape dry herbs, wax or oil from an eliquid tank, it would NEVER work. So if you're an ecigarette user, then you need a vaporizer thats specifically for your ejuice. If you're vaping cbd oil or cannabis oil, that type of liquid is much thicker, which means you'll need to use a different atomizer.
OIL CARTRIDGES
What's interesting about oil cartridges is that the current models were the first type of cartridges used for eliquids. Over time, the technology developed and ejuice users like to create huge clouds of vapor. As a result, they started using bigger and more powerful tanks with more eliquid capacity. When it comes to oil users, they don't want to create huge clouds of vapor. They want to take small and smooth vape hits. So the only way oil cartridges or atomizers developed is the material used to make the same type of atomizer, which is a small and skinny 510 thread cylindrical atomizer where there is a heating chamber built inside the atomizer. Oil cartridges usually store 0.3ml, 0.5ml, and 1ml. This size is much smaller than the eliquid tanks we were describing before. All oil cartridges fit in 510 threaded batteries.
All oil cartridges fit in 510 threaded batteries. They can fit in our 510 Thread Vape Battery or our stylus pen vape battery. Our newest oil vaporizer battery, the SteamCloud Mini, comes with a metal ring you screw onto the atomizer and then the atomizer will magnetically connect to the battery. This type of oil vaporizer is one of the smallest and most discrete vaporizers you can use today.
Oil cartridges usually store 0.3ml, 0.5ml, and 1ml. This size is much smaller than eliquid tanks. The oil is thicker and usually takes a lot longer to run out. When oil cartridges were first produced, the atomizer tube was made of plastic with a plastic mouthpiece, and the heating element inside the chamber was made of cotton wick. Now, more and more atomizer tubes are made of glass, the mouthpiece is made of stainless steel, and the heating element inside the chamber is made of ceramic. Both types of cartridges are fine to use. Some of the more advanced users strive for more flavor and purity. So they spend more money to buy better quality cartridges.
To Sum Up:Before purchasing an atomizer for your vaporizer or vape pen, it is important to determine what kind of substance the atomizer is meant to vaporize, as well as the kind of battery with which it may be paired. How to Help Someone Quit Smoking

If you want to help someone quit smoking, then you probably have some questions about how to go about it. This guide will help you understand the quitting process and how you can assist, and hopefully it will answer most of your questions about how you can help someone quit their addictive habit.
If somebody you love and care about smokes, it’s only natural to want to convince them to try to quit. But going about it the wrong way will not only be ineffective but can create animosity between you and can even be a major setback for the smoker’s desire and ability to quit.
While many people try to quit and fail, it is certainly possible for someone to successfully quit. But it is not an easy process, and if they are going to succeed, they will likely need support from their friends and family. People who care about them and who are close to them will be able to have the most persuasion on their quitting, but the key factor to remember is to stay in contact with them while they are trying to quit.
The principles below can be applied to any type of nicotine addiction, including when someone you love is using electronic cigarettes with nicotine-infused vape juices or e-liquids.
How Can I Help Someone Quit?
Cigarette smoking comes with both physical and emotional addictions. So quitting is rarely easy, but it can be made easier if the person trying to quit has some help. You can really support them by keeping them away from cigarettes. Many people go to some sort of retreat or remote location to get away from cigarettes. This makes it very difficult for them to buy cigarettes and keeps them away from influences that remind them of smoking, which the best vapes can sometimes do, precisely because they are so similar to smoking.
This can help with the physical urges, but the emotional ones may be harder to control. If your friend slips back into smoking briefly, then you still need to encourage and not berate. Don’t call out the slip-ups, but provide support. If you make your friend upset about their progress and depressed, then it will make it harder for them to resist their emotional urges for cigarettes.
It is very important to keep up a rapport with the person trying to quit in their initial stages. Make sure you are available for them to talk to and that they know you are willing to help. They will be suffering withdrawal symptoms, and it can help them to have someone to tell about what they are experiencing. Be sure to stay supportive and try not to preach to them or scold them, even when they fall back on smoking again. Instead, offer encouragement and tell them how proud you are of their willingness to quit and what they have accomplished so far.
I Quit Before. Will It Be Just Like That for My Friend?
Addiction affects everybody differently. Just because your quitting was easy or difficult does not mean it will be the same for your friend. The chemical makeup of a person can determine how their nicotine addiction will make them feel once they start to suffer withdrawal symptoms.
But their symptoms are also affected by how heavy of a smoker they were. If they smoked a pack a day for years, they are going to have a lot more separation anxiety and hard-to-control urges than someone who was a casual smoker or who just started.
You should be aware of this and not try to downplay their struggle just because you had a very little struggle. It can be difficult to tell exactly what someone is going through when they withdraw, and they may be very good at hiding what they are experiencing. The key is to stay supportive and just provide any help they need.
What Can Help
Tell Them You’d Like Them to Quit
Approximately 75% of all smokers in the U.S. claim they would like to quit, so, chances are, your loved one has already considered quitting. The first step in inspiring someone to quit is simply, calmly talking to them about quitting. Ask them if they want or wanted to quit, tell them that you are concerned about them and explain why you’d like them to quit.
Chances are, the smoker already knows how bad cigarettes can be. If not, you can help to educate him by providing appropriate information, books and materials, and pointing out useful websites.
Remember that nagging them will only make them feel bad about themselves and won’t do much towards motivating them to quit. Don’t put too much pressure on them; it doesn’t have to happen right away. After this conversation, give them a couple of days to process the information.
Ask Why They Would Want to Quit
Different people are motivated by different things. Different smokers can have very different reasons for quitting. Some quit smoking for their health, while others may do it for their finances, someone they care about or because they want to look and smell better. Ask them how they think they could benefit from quitting.
You may want to suggest some additional reasons for quitting that you think might be particularly important to them. Ask them what they would need to feel ready to smoke their last cigarette. Encourage them to make a list of their reasons for quitting. This list will be very helpful if they do decide to quit, but it can also be useful to motivate them to cut back or stop smoking at home.
Understand Why It’s Hard for Them
Many smokers don’t want to quit because they’re afraid of withdrawal, or that quitting will make them gain weight. Perhaps they don’t want their irritability to be a burden on people around them. Maybe it’s because they’ve tried and failed in the past, and they don’t believe they can do it. Ask them what’s keeping them from quitting. Perhaps you can even address some of those fears, but what’s most important is that you listen to them and try to understand them.
Reassure Them That You Will Support Them No Matter What
Quitting is a very stressful experience, and the more stressed-out a smoker is, the harder it will be for him to quit. They need to understand that you care about them regardless of whether they decide to quit or not. You must be ready to accept whatever choice they’re going to make.
If They Decide Not To Quit, Give Them Space
Deciding to quit smoking is not an easy choice to make for an addict. If they decide against it, accept their choice. It’s their life and their decision to make. Constantly pressuring them to quit would be unfair, and ultimatums or forcing a quit date on them will only help drive them away.
Quitting requires willpower that must come from within, so there’s no use in trying to control them to do it. Try to remember why quitting is difficult for them. Perhaps this wasn’t the right time to do it. Give them a couple of weeks or even months before you approach the subject again, but don’t give up on trying to help them.
If They Do Decide To Quit, Offer Help
If they do decide to quit, congratulate them on taking the first and perhaps most important step toward breaking their addiction. If you’ve never smoked, it may be hard for you to understand what they’re going through. Remember that quitting smoking is a big deal, and show them that you’re proud of them.
Help to educate them on the different methods available for quitting, and help them choose one that will work best for them. If you need additional information, refer to our Quit Smoking for Good guide. Now that you’ve inspired your loved one to decide to quit smoking, learn how to help them succeed by visiting Support Your Quitter.
Do’s and Don’ts When Helping Someone to Quit
Do’s:
Do believe they can succeed and assure them of that.
Do what you can to for them. See if they’d like you to check up on them along the way.
Do ask them how they’re feeling instead of just focusing on whether or not they have had a cigarette.
Do encourage them to talk to you whenever they need help or support.
Do reward their progress and celebrate success and milestones along the way.
Do supply the quitter with anything that can take their mind off of the craving such as chewing gum, carrots or toothpicks to chew on.
Do remove all ashtrays, lighters and other smoking paraphernalia from your home and make your home smoke free.
Do stay patient and empathetic. Try to understand what the quitter is going through.
Do listen to what they have to say.
Do offer distractions to keep their mind off cigarettes. Designate time for fun activities as rewards of their progress.
Don’ts:
Don’t discourage them. No matter how hard it gets never tell them that they were easier to deal with when they smoked.
Don’t be judgmental, nag, shout or lecture. The worse you make them feel the more likely they are to lose control of the addiction.
Don’t constantly ask them if they’ve smoked today.
Don’t get mad at them when they’re experiencing irritability or anxiety. Remember, those are only temporary side effects. Appreciate that they are difficult to cope with and assure the quitter that they will pass.
Don’t be surprised if their appetite increases during withdrawal. Try to make sure you have healthy snacks in case they get hungry.
Don’t suggest that going back to smoking would be easier for them.
Don’t ever offer the quitter a puff or a cigarette. The goal is to stop smoking altogether.
Don’t let them forget why they’ve decided to quit.
How Long Will It Take Them to Quit?
The time it takes to fully quit and not feel the urges anymore will depend on a number of factors. The biggest one is how long and how heavily the person smoked. The longer you smoke for, the more that nicotine will stay in your system. If your friend smoked for years, it could be nearly as long before the urges are completely gone.
For most people, however, the worst urges will subside after a few weeks. After about three months, all the nicotine should have left their body, and they should not experience any serious cravings.
But being near cigarette smoke can trigger minor relapses, and it may make them have trouble staying away from smoking themselves. You will have to gauge your friend and see how they take the initial weeks before you have an idea of how they will fare in the following months.
It is important to stay in contact with them and offer encouragement, no matter how they are faring with their smoking. Be sure to stay positive and offer support, as criticism can make them want to go back to the comfort of smoking.
How Do I Continue to Provide Support?
In the following weeks, months and years, it is vital that you continue to support your friend. You can help by celebrating milestones and offering to do something special for them once they reach a new one. Make a big deal of even the smallest milestones, and you can celebrate each month they don’t smoke.
Remember that this is an addiction that will continue to affect them for a long time to come. While the worst of it will have passed in the first few weeks, they may let their guard down after a while. That’s when the cravings may rear up long enough to cause them to slip back once more. Be sure to stay in contact with your friend and find out how they are doing with quitting. Do your best to keep them away from other people who smoke and places where cigarettes are easily available.
If they do slip up and start smoking again, try to persuade them to give it up once more. Remind them about all the benefits of quitting and how much better they felt when they did quit. Remind them what their future holds if they continue to quit and the positive ways they can affect their life and their health by giving it up.
Quitting is usually not an easy or short process, but it can be done, and your support can help your friends overcome their addiction.

What are Fake E-Cigs and How to Avoid Them

Fake e-cigs are popping up everywhere. If you find out you have been ripped off by a phony, clone vapor product, the reality is that you will have little recourse. There is no point sugar coating this for you. Your best defense is caution and, honestly, suspicion. If a vape deal seems like it is too good, be aware that it may be. Don’t let the rip-off artists who are currently infiltrating the vapor industry make you their next victim.
Caveat emptor! The Latin phrase that dates back to the 16th-century is timeless. Let the buyer beware. The concept is that the buyer is responsible for knowing what they are buying. This is especially true for the electronic cigarette industry. The market is filled with fake e-cigs and they can be found virtually anywhere. From online vendors to vape shops to discount electronics websites to online auction sites. It’s not a pretty picture.
What Is A Fake E-Cig?
A fake e-cig is a counterfeit. A clone of a brand name vape product. It is the imported vapor products like Aspire, Smok, iJoy etc. that are the target of counterfeiters and clone artists. A fake e-cig will look like the real thing but in reality is not. Clones are usually made using the cheapest parts and pieces and with sketchy software to boot.
Do you want to get an idea of how bad it is? If you do then just consider these numbers. In Shenzhen, China you will find a few dozen of the best e-cigarette manufacturers in the world. State of the art factories using the best quality materials and cutting-edge software. But in total there are 600 e-cig factories in Shenzhen. If a few dozen are making top quality brand name products, well then what are the other factories up to? Most of them are making cloned, fake e-cigarettes.
These same factories also use low-quality materials to manufacture generic vapor products. It creates a conundrum. First, the brand name products have developed their name for a reason. They make good stuff. So you want to stick with proven brands. Second, those proven brands may be faked by counterfeit e-cig factories in China. Caveat emptor, indeed.
What Do Fake E-Cigs Look Like?
The fake e-cigs look just like the real thing. Like any counterfeiter, they rely on matching appearance and don’t have a lot of regard for anything else. They are typically not concerned about quality or safety. Why would they be? They are faking someone else’s product right down to packaging and serial numbers. There is nothing on a fake e-cigarette that connects back to the counterfeit factory. They have little to no fear of accountability.
Please note that we mentioned something very important here. The packaging will be identical to the real thing. Sometimes the coloring may be a shade off but generally, the counterfeiters are very good at making the packaging an exact match. So you cannot judge whether or not an e-cig is a fake or a clone based on the packaging.
You also need to note that the makers of fake e-cigs are also known to use fake authenticity codes.
· Fake e-cigs look like the real thing
· The packaging is the same
· Authenticity codes may be fake
Electronic Cigarette Authenticity Codes
All of the leading manufacturers are very much aware that their products are being counterfeited. To fight back, they have attached a unique code to every product they sell. That includes e-cigs, mods, tanks, and coils. Yes, even coils are cloned. In fact, fake coils are just as common as fake e-cigs if not even more so.
In most cases, you will scratch an area on the packaging to reveal the authenticity code. Then you go to the manufacturer’s website and enter the authenticity code to confirm that your product is genuine. If you have a fake e-cig one of two things will happen when you check the authenticity code.
The first sign that you have a fake will be if your authenticity code comes back as invalid. The second that you have a fake will be if your authenticity code check comes back indicating that your code has been checked multiple times. That should not happen. If your code has been checked previously that means that a counterfeiter has used a known code. We have heard of cases of a single authenticity code being checked thousands of times.
What Happens If I Find Out I have A Clone E-cig?
Not much. Here is a common scenario. You buy a name brand imported vapor product. You scratch and check the authenticity code. Then you find out you have a fake e-cig. So you contact the real manufacturer. There’s nothing they can do because it is not their product. Then you go back to where you bought it.
If you bought it from an online seller they might have no idea that they are selling clones. You should inform them but chances are they have the “all sales final” policy listed somewhere. If they do know, they might even tell you that clones are just as good as the real thing. Clones are not as good as the real thing. In any case, the chance of getting a refund is slim.
If you are mad and want some justice against the counterfeiters themselves, that’s not going to happen. The best case scenario is you have an honorable seller who will give you a refund. You will still likely be on the hook for shipping. Not to mention the time wasted communicating with the seller, going to the post office and it is lost money and time you will never get back.
How Do Fake E-Cigs Get Into The Market?
Fake e-cigs are so prevalent in the market for a couple of reasons. The first and most obvious reason is money. The fakes are sold cheaply and that is a serious temptation to sellers. By buying fakes they can sell what appears to be name brand products for cheap. They can undercut the market. Some sellers may not know they are selling fakes because the counterfeiters aggressively market their junky products via any means available.
The second reason why fakes are so common is the sheer volume. There are so many of them. Think of the hundreds of factories that might be churning out clone e-cigs right now. It boils down to an ample supply of cheap products.
How Do Consumers Avoid Cheap E-Cigs?
The first clue to avoid cheap e-cigs is the price. If the price seems low, if the deal or discount is crazy good, then your spidey senses should be tingling. Not that there are no good deals to be had out there but it is a sign that something might be up.
Look for authenticated, reliable vendors. For example, a reputable vendor may have a certificate of authenticity verifying that they are a certified dealer of genuine vapor products. Ask a seller if they are a verified dealer. Ask them directly if they sell authentic products. Trust but verify. It seems like a hassle but doing a little homework ahead of time can help prevent you from being ripped off.
If you are buying from an online seller, for example on an auction site or classified listing site, ask if they guarantee their products are genuine. If a seller does not fully back their product then move on.
· If the price seems too good to be true, be suspicious
· Look for reputable, authenticated vendors
· Ask questions, seek assurances and guarantees
· If the seller does not stand by the product then don’t buy from them
Proven American Vape Brands
One way you can avoid this entire minefield altogether is to buy your vapor products from proven American vape brands like Mig Vapor. When you buy from Mig Vapor, you are buying directly from the company that makes your product and stands behind what they sell. On top of that, you have access to a US-based customer service team to answer your questions and address your concerns.
In the vaping community, sometimes the imported products get most of the attention. And that is a shame because right here in the USA Mig vapor is designing some of the best electronic cigarettes and vaporizer products in the business built by the best manufacturers in the world. WHY NEGATIVITY TOWARDS VAPING – VAPING MYTHS DEBUNKED
There are, and have been, so many myths circulating within mainstream media and society regarding electronic cigarettes and their usage. Yes, it goes without saying that it’s simply part of the picture; with any new trend or movement, there is definitely going to be some countering, be it realistic or just for the ability to thwart the success. While this is the case with any industry, the trouble with propagating myths, and reporting spin as truth when it comes to e-cigs really does more harm than good.
What often does not get reported is that alternative cigarettes, which can run by a variety of different names, have helped a rather impressively large list of people leave tobacco behind them. While this figure may be directly attributed to e-cigarettes or not, the current stats on the number of people who smoke tobacco cigarettes in America is at the lowest point in recent memory. Each year, numbers continue to drop; e-cigarettes must correlate to this in some way. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 20.6% of adult Americans were smokers in 2009, and only 15.2% in 2015, a 5.4% decrease is not a small figure, nor one that should be swept under the rug!
Even still, with data to back up the truth, there continues to be stories published and news reports broadcasted, decrying the unknown dangers of e-cigarettes threatening the youth, posing the threat of exploding in people’s’ faces, and containing all varieties of unknown substances, and the always popular “you don’t know what’s coming out of the vapor!” Yes, speculation comes with the territory, but the myths really are causing more harm than good!
Our stance on this industry is that alternatives are awesome. Providing options to smokers who want more choices than tobacco brands can offer is what we do. Fear is a really bad thing, and unfortunately using it to sway people away from vapor cigarettes is wrong. This is simply obnoxious, irresponsible manipulation. When used properly, they present an excellent alternative to tobacco. If tobacco rates are dropping and consumers are overall more educated, this industry is headed in the right place.

7 Pros and Cons of Vaporizing Herb and Oil
Vaporizing herb and oil are very popular now. Vaping has turned out to be a very trendy option to the conventional smoking techniques. This article will review the pros and cons of using vaporizer for herb and oil.
Pros
Healthier Option
Marijuana is one herb utilized in vaporizing. Vaping herbs and oil doesn’t involve combustion; therefore, it doesn’t generate smoke which has tar and carcinogens that cause various kinds of diseases like cancer. According to the research, tar is harmful than the nicotine. With vaporizer, there is low or no amount of tar is generated. This is noticed upon changing from smoking the traditional type to vaporizing. Also, this essentially enhances breathing in due course, most significantly when you have a daily workout routine.
Best Discretion
Herbs and oil from marijuana doesn’t produce odor and smoke when vaporized. Due to no odor and smoke generated, it preferred by a lot of marijuana users who like to take their hits anywhere and anytime. Discretion is essential for many marijuana users; this is because of the stigma which is still surrounds the marijuana.
Taste the Zest of the Strains
A lot of people don’t smoke marijuana due to its taste. Inhaling smoke is not fun as well. Provided that vaping doesn’t involve burning, the zest which you obtain isn’t comparable to the off-putting experience of smoking marijuana. The particle which is accountable for bad taste is called Terpenes. They are therapeutic. While burning this herb for smoking killed the terpenes right away. With vaporizer, you can get the best out of this therapeutic property as they are not burned go straight to your lungs. Using vaporizers for herb allows you to enjoy the real flavor of the strains compared to smoking.
Use Minimal Amount of Herb and Oil to Get Similar Effect
Your first investment in vaporizers is higher opposed to what you will spend on a bong or smoking paper. But, in due course, you can really make your investment into considerable savings. Why simply because, just a small amount of oil or herb is required to be vaporized to acquire a pleasing and satisfying hit as well as the entire medicinal benefits.
User-Friendly
If you have vaporizer it makes easy and simple to use marijuana herb and oil. With this vaporizer, user can fill the chamber with dry herb or oil concentrate and right away start drawing your hits. Compared to smoking wherein you have to roll a joint prior to enjoy the flavor of the herb.
Easy to Customize
This can be customized to meet your preference and needs when vaping. Reaching a specific effect from cannabis oil and herb will solely depend on the amount you consume. Vaporizers can change power and temperature settings, to generate the needed amount of flavor and vapor.
Feeling Lighter
A lot of users stated that they are functional after using vaporizers compared to smoking herbs. This might be due to the fact that vaping doesn’t generate hazardous smokes that in turn provide a clear headed high. Aside from feeling high, vaporizers are also portable, and available in small and compact sizes. You can store it in your pocket and take it anywhere you want to go. This is also the best device for busy people who don’t want the pressure of puffing their oils or herbs anytime and anywhere they want.
Cons
Despite of the many benefits Vaporizer provides, it also comes with some drawbacks such as:
Lack of Regulation
One possible drawback of vaporizer is the lack of regulation of the government. So, it’s hard to say whether the quality or the approaches of the vaporizer is safe or not. Users can buy any vaporizers online with no limitation and paying taxes.
Vaping Doesn’t Help You with Quitting Dependence
Even if vaporizers provide smokers a chance to select an e-liquid which doesn’t have nicotine, there is no specific standard as well as confirmation on electronic liquid to the need of regulations. A lot of agencies provide an electronic liquid that has nicotine that makes it hard for users wanting to overcome nicotine addiction. This just substitute the cigar with a vaporizer, however keep the level of nicotine. So, consumers only keep on keeping the nicotine intake on the other hand put off the substances present in cigarettes.
Possible Medical Risk
Vaporizers have possible harmful effects like dehydration. The propylene glycol substance can retain and absorb water which result in dehydration. Many smokers may be allergic to this substance. Apart from propylene glycol, substance like nicotine has harmful effects on circulatory system and blood sugar. It’s addictive and dangerous when breastfeeding. So, make sure to ask doctor’s advice prior to using vaporizer.
Could Encourage Dual Use
Critics of vaporizer worry that rather than e-cigs users substituting the conventional cigars with vaping, they might just utilize both with no limiting their smoking of cigar. Rather than replacing smoking with vaporizers, they will be adding vaporizer to their current smoking routine. This is bad for their well being and health, as you would only be layering a harmful practice on an already very harmful practice. On the other hand, when clean air regulation keeps on using to vaping or vaporizers, the risk might be lessened or mitigate because users will not be capable of vaping or smoking in many areas, making it less convenient to dual-use.
Limitations of High Quality Vaporizers on Hand
There are lots of cheap vaporizers on hand. Some cheap vaporizers combust herb or oil instead of vaporizing it, so you need to be extra careful when buying one and don’t waste your time and money on buying limitations.
Not the Best Option to Stop Smoking
When you are searching for an option to traditional smoking which will assist you put off your addiction to typical smoking, this isn’t the best solution. Though you might save money in due course, first expense might be costly for high quality and superior vaporizer which will last for a couple of years.

Vaping Myths That Refuse to Die
A Quick Guide to the Zombie Vaping Myths
The recent debunking of a study that found toxic metals in e-cigs is a great example of a zombie vaping myth being laid to rest. There are many of these myths and expect them to reappear wherever anti-vaping activists can be found.
Vaping Myth Bingo
The same horde of zombie vaping myths (a plague in zombie parlance) appears with regularity and they are discussed in detail below. If you encounter someone who parrots more than one or two of these myths and refuses to be persuaded by facts, there is always the possibility that you have encountered a dyed in the wool anti-vaper. Despite that possibility, the vast majority of people who buy into these myths have simply been misled by hysterical headlines and the organized efforts of anti-vaping zealots.
Vaping faces a lot of headwinds in the eyes of the public, politicians and regulators. We are competing from a position of weakness but are armed with the facts. Rolling back these myths will be a time consuming process and is up to us. But rather than getting too frustrated, the next time you encounter an anti-vaping op-ed, website, or advocate, count the number of zombie myths they rely on. If the number reaches four — spelling the word “Vape”— you have won “vaping myth bingo”.
Toxic Toxins, Meddling Metals
Last February, news outlets pounced on a John Hopkin’s study about metals in e-cig vapor. The general gist of these articles, too numerous list but easily found with a simple search, was that vaping is poorly understood, vapers face unknown risks and vapor clouds are laden with mysterious, frightening toxins. That the mechanism of vaping is well-understood and the study was a bit suspect did not merit a mention.
The fallout from this study was immediate. Anyone who has Facebook knows that talk of “toxins” and “metals” are pretty much kryptonite to consumers. There is no question that many of these headlines were designed to stir up those fears.
A closer inspection of the Hopkins “toxic metals” study, published in the journal Inhalation Toxicology, found that these metals were present in miniscule amounts and the Hopkin’s study reached its alarming conclusion due to a serious error in methodology.
The authors of the original study measured e-cig vapor as an environmental toxin and not as something that is inhaled a couple hundred times a day at most. You would have to vape over a ton of e-juice a day to hit the aluminum toxicity threshold.
Popcorn Lung
The popcorn lung is the rather flippant nickname for a horrid condition: bronchiolitis obliterans. This is a frightening disease damages the smallest airways in your lungs and makes it difficult to breathe. It has been compared to COPD. The disease was dubbed popcorn lung because of its prevalence among employees of a microwave popcorn factory. The culprit was found to be diacetyl, which is used to mimic buttery flavors. Workers at the factory were exposed to excessive quantities during the manufacturing process.
The amount of diacetyl in cigarette smoke is one hundred fold greater than was found in the e-juices with diacetyl. Moreover, since concerns about diacetyl first made headlines several years ago now, there has been a concerted effort remove that ingredient from e-juices. It is banned outright in the UK, one of the most vape friendly countries.
If you are concerned about popcorn lung, there are plenty of great diacetyl free options available. That said, there are no known cases of popcorn lung that are attributed to vaping.
More tellingly, there is also no link between smoking and popcorn lung, a much more likely conduit based on both dose and the sheer number of people who smoke heavily. There is also no scientific evidence linking popcorn lung and the grinding of coffee beans, in which diacetyl happens to occur naturally. Diacetyl is also found in such diverse items as vinegar, coffee, milk, yogurt, wine, whiskey and cheese.
Popcorn lung is no joke and biased sources will continue to use it to effectively vilify vaping.
A Formaldehyde Myth That Just Won’t Quit
Formaldehyde is a naturally occurring in your body but is toxic in larger doses. It has a very negative connotation because of its association with embalming and death. It is also present in a wide range of foods ranging from meat to tomatoes. Traces of formaldehyde in aspartame, present in amounts less than your body generates or is found in a many common vegetables, have been used to malign the artificial sweetener for years.
Formaldehyde appeared in relation to vaping when the New England Journal of Medicine used jacked-up power settings and dry hits to generate elevated levels. It has since been shown that no human could reasonably be expected to pursue or endure such a punishing and madcap approach to vaping.
This shoddy work has been dismissed a number of times, including a 2017 study in the journal Food and Toxicology.Unfortunately, hack pieces such as an intentionally obtuse and misleading op-ed piece by Dr. Joseph Allen in the NY Times, continue to resurrect this zombie myth.
Anti-freeze Myth
One of the more scientifically illiterate myths is that e-juice contains anti-freeze. This is due to the presence of an ingredient with a scary sounding name: propylene glycol (PG). Authorities in the US, Europe and globally have declared PG to be GRAS, the standard for generally safe in food.
This has not stopped click-baity headlines about PG in various popular foods from flooding social feeds for the past several years. The scientific community invariably mocks these PG awareness campaigns but companies often respond to consumer pressure.
PG is in the same chemical family as alcohol and found in scads of medications, prepackaged foods, dressings, condiments, ice cream, frosting, candies, baked goods, cosmetics, hygiene products, toothpaste, popcorn, soft drinks, bread, dairy products, fast foods, drink mixes and sundry other items.
As it is flavorless and odorless, PG is used with vegetable glycerin (VG) as a carrier in e-juice. The PG/VG blend in an e-juice has a huge impact on throat hit, cloud size and viscosity. Here is an article that explains PG/VG ratios in e-juice.
Unfortunately, PG is often confused with toxic ethylene glycol, which is the primary ingredient in anti-freeze. To further muddy the waters, non-toxic antifreezes are made with PG. So technically, PG is found in anti-freeze. It just happens to be used because it is not poisonous and is especially valuable in applications where using toxic ethylene glycol would not be appropriate, such as the cooling systems of food processing machines.
Myths about E-Cig Users
There is no shortage of myths about e-cigs being a gateway drug, more addictive than cigarettes, being as dangerous as smoking and nicotine causing cancer. None of these has been shown to correct. It is important to keep in mind that while addictive and potentially dangerous, nicotine is NOT the cancer causing agent in cigarettes. That would be the smoke, ash, tar and additional added chemicals from combustion.
Flavor Myths
Anti-vaping advocates and federal regulators have gotten a lot of mileage out of flavor myths. The fact is that fruit and dessert flavored e-juices are not manufactured with the sole purpose of hooking children. They are by far the most popular flavors with adults as well. Whether there were unscrupulous marketers targeting children or not cannot be answered with complete certainty, but the fact is that Vapor4Life has no interest in selling their products to minors. We have taken serious steps to prevent this from occurring either on our e-commerce website or at our Northbrook vape shop.
Old concerns about pets and children drinking e-juice have been largely addressed by changes in bottle design and by adding child proof latches to mod tanks. It was never the epidemic that it was made out to be, but please keep these items safely out of reach.
E-Cigs Are Not Regulated
The FDA announced new e-cig regulations just last month. The FDA’s mandate to regulate has been exercised with a frightening degree of regularity, stultifying innovation and potentially establishing insurmountable obstacles for adults who are looking for cigarette alternatives.
Exploding E-Cigs
There are few things more repellent than the idea of having your face or genitals blown off by an exploding e-cig. There have been several gruesome stories over the years, especially during heyday of Mech Mods when rank amateurs were experimenting with devices far beyond their level of expertise.
During the height of these fears we provided this 18650 Battery Safety Guide.
That said, lithium ion batteries can explode under certain circumstances and battery safety is extremely important. Last year, there was a recall of certain Samsung devices due to the fear of battery explosion. The culprit in this case was overheating and sub-par counterfeit batteries. This news story can serve as a cautionary reminder to always purchase your batteries from a reputable seller and to be mindful of your battery’s condition.
Store your batteries in a plastic case when not in use, do not transport them in a purse or a pocket with change, keep them out of direct sunlight and water, refrain from placing them by an open flame, replace them when signs of wear and tear appear and do not use peeling batteries. Lithium are used in all manner of electronics and you should take similar precautions with all of your devices.

Medical Technologies That Will Be Used in Vaping
The use of cannabis is mostly associated with traditional smoking methods — taking a hit from a bong or smoking a joint — or ingesting it in the form of cookies or other edibles. But vaping, a recent method of consuming herbs, is gaining ground in both medical and recreational use of marijuana. Vaping involves the use of a device known as a vaporizer, where instead of inhaling the smoke, you inhale the vapor. Vaping is by far the most convenient way of getting the benefits of cannabis sans the side effects of inhaling the hot smoke.
Vaping and Medical Marijuana
In the last few years, US states, one after the other, have been legalizing the medical use of marijuana, with Ohio being the latest to join the bunch. This means that a multitude of cannabis products users will be coming out of the dark seeking to treat various illnesses. The growth in popularity in the use of vaping technology to consume marijuana has coincided with the decriminalization of medicinal marijuana. Though largely undeveloped, medicinal vaping stands to make a significant impact on the use of medical marijuana and other pharmaceutical drugs to improve the health of individuals.
Ditching the Hypodermic Needle
Vaping technology is bound to change the methods of delivering medication. Instead of using the hypodermic needle or being taken orally, some drugs could be 'vaped' and absorbed directly into the bloodstream. A needleless medical world could prevent the spread of diseases such as HIV or Hepatitis and save countless lives. Some forms of inhalable medications are already in existence, with inhalable insulin being the most recent one. The ability to vape drugs allows a quicker absorption into the bloodstream since the drugs bypass the digestive system. This facilitates a high level of intensity, quicker relief, and more precision. Doctors can use smaller, precise doses to treat conditions. Medications administered are referred to as v-meds or vaporizing medicine.
V-Meds Nanotechnology
Since the electronic vaporizer came out of the closet a few decades ago, it has constantly been associated with v-meds. Researchers and nanoscientists have been trying to figure out ways to use the vaporizer in nanotechnology. They are working on ways to attach nanotechnology into the vapor and deliver it into the body to treat illnesses. If the infusion of nanotechnology medicine into vaping is a success, the combined technology will be able to treat chronic illnesses, repair and generate new cells, and greatly improve the body's immune system. The technology is aimed at treating many forms of cancer and heart diseases.
E-medicine Revolution
Vaping technology will soon be used as a method of administering e-medicine. The revolution of e-medicine will kick-off with the administration of simple medications to treat conditions such as migraines and flu. Several investors and pharmaceutical giants are already working on making e-medicine a reality. Many of these medications are already available in liquid form, all you have to do is put the liquid in the vaporizing device and heat it. The atomizer in the vaporizer will convert the liquid medication into vapor, which the user, or patient, in this case, will inhale. The medicine will be absorbed directly into the bloodstream in the lungs. The method of delivering medication is highly effective, which is why e-medicine or v-meds technology is expected to revolutionize the medical industry.
Vaping technology is still in its infant stages. Though the technology has the potential to spur massive improvements in the health sector, there have been a few concerns. Some point out that it will increase drug abuse as it is hard to tell what someone is inhaling from a vaporizer. However, the future of vaping technology in the medical sector carries a big promise.

5 Tips on How to Use Your Dry Flower Vaporizer Properly
Avoiding Vaporizer Disappointment
Even though vaping is a healthier way to consume marijuana than smoking, many first timers get disappointed. As a result, they forever turn their backs on vaping cannabis. I don’t blame them—everyone wants a great experience.
Here are some reasons that may lead to disappointment:
Your vaporizer doesn’t match your vaping style.
You expect exactly the same effects as when you smoke flower.
You don’t know how to use your vaporizer properly.
The first two issues can easily be avoided by doing proper research and managing your expectations. However, the last issue of not knowing how to use your vaporizer properly may require some willingness, practice and experimentation on your end to be resolved.
There’s a lot of conflicting information on how to vaporize marijuana. In this post I’ll teach you how to use a dry flower vaporizer properly. Learning to use a vaporizer correctly is easier than you might think. With some practice and experimentation, you’ll be getting those clouds of vapor that you deserve.
Tip 1: Set Your Vaporizer to an Appropriate Temperature
Different temperatures serve different vaping needs. Generally speaking, the higher you set your temperature dial, the closer you will come to a smoke-like experience and the stronger the effects of your vapor will be. But here’s the kicker: With 90% of vaporizers, the higher you set your temperature the more flavor will deteriorate.
If you’ve ever vaped marijuana you might know the burnt popcorn taste. This taste gets more prevalent the higher in temperature you go. Your vapor will also be harsher at higher temperatures. But what exactly is a high and low temperature?
Here’s a general guideline to temperature for vaping:
Low-level vaping temperatures
320°F(160°C) – 356°F(180°C) effects:
Light mental medication
Very weak bodily effects
Best for flavor
Mid-level vaping temperatures
356°F(180°C) – 392°F(200°C) effects:
Moderate to strong mental and physical medication
Mental and bodily effects both equally apparent
Good for flavor
High-level vaping temperatures
392°F(200°C) – 446°F(230°C) effects:
Intense mental and physical medication
Bodily effects will be very strong
Harsh flavor
If you’re not feeling the effects of your marijuana, check your temperature and turn the dial up a bit to experiment.
Tip 2: Conduction & Convection Vaporizers Require Different Grinds
Not every dry herb vaporizer needs the same grind. In fact, some vaporizers don’t need a grind at all. They can just take whole nug of flower. To know how to grind the herb for your particular vaporizer, you need to know whether you have a conduction vaporizer or a convection vaporizer.
In a conduction vaporizer, heat gets directly transferred between your herb's particles, so you need to grind your marijuana as fine as you can. To transfer heat properly in a conduction-heating system, your herb needs to be compact and compactness can be easily achieved with a fine grind.
Additionally, since your herb is in direct contact with the heated wands of the heating chamber, you want as many herb particles as possible in contact with it. The finer your grind, the more particles you will be exposing to the heated wands of the heating chamber. To grind your herb fine to a level like this, you need a proper marijuana grinder.
In convection vaporizers, marijuana gets heated by circulating hot air. As a result, you will want to maximize airflow in your herb chamber, thus a finger-type grind is what you should aim for.
Grinding your flower allows you to increase the surface area of exposure, so hot air will heat it more thoroughly. If you’re vaping large amounts, it can be annoying to break up a gram of marijuana with your fingers. Luckily, there are herb grinders which provide you with a fluffy finger-type of grind which is perfect for convection vaporizers.
Tip 3: Conduction & Convection Vaporizers Require Different Herb Packing
Packing your vaporizer properly is essential for producing those huge clouds of vapor. How you pack your vaporizer is dependent on whether you have a conduction or convection vaporizer.
If you have a conduction vaporizer, pack your vaporizer tightly and compactly, but not so compact that there’s no airflow. The optimal packing level is also different per vaporizer, so ultimately you’ll have to experiment yourself.
If you have a convection vaporizer, pack your vaporizer loosely as it's extremely important to have a proper airflow with convection vaporizers. With convection vaporizers, never fill more than 80%-90% and never compress.
There are quite a lot of hybrid vaporizers which get advertised as full or just convection vaporizers, when in fact they’re hybrid vaporizers. If you have a hybrid vaporizer, it’s best to pack your vaporizer somewhere between compact and loose.
Lastly, put as much herb in your herb chamber, so that the bottom part of the chamber is covered with the flower. How much differs per vaporizer, but it’s a simple and effective visual check.
Tip 4: Draw Correctly From Your Vaporizer
While this is dependent on the particular vaporizer and inhalation method (direct draw, whip or balloon), there are three general tips with regards to drawing:
Most vaporizers work better if you “sip” them instead of “rip” them. This means that you draw in a controlled way, like you would sip tea.
Draw for at least 10 seconds.
If you’re new to vaping, realize that sometimes you may not physically feel the vapor, though you will feel its effects.
Tip 5: Keep Your Vaporizer Clean
This might seem like an obvious tip, but even I catch myself being lazy with this, then blame my vaporizer for a foul taste or wispy clouds. Sometimes I open my vaporizer and see the screens are clogged with herb residue—the likely cause of my bad experience.
It’s extremely important to keep your herb chamber, vapor path and especially the screens in the vapor path clear of herb residue. Most vaporizers can easily be cleansed with ISO alcohol or Q-Tips dipped in ISO alcohol. Never dip your entire vaporizer in ISO alcohol.
These five simple tips that can lead to an optimal vaporizer experience. There are specific tips for every individual vaporizer, but regardless of what vaporizer you have, these tips should guide you in the right direction.

Keeping The Vaporizer Chamber Clean
Enjoy basil, eucalyptus, tobacco or other types of herbs in your portable vaporizer. If you don't clean your vaporizer regularly, it could become clogged or have harmful bacteria growing on it. I know, it's disgusting. But lucky for you, here are the tools, methods, and suggestions for how often you should be cleaning your portable vaporizer.
Cleaning Tools
Herbal dust and residue are likely to collect in your mouthpiece, screens and herbal chamber. These will eventually prevent you from getting a good draw. Bacteria could also start growing on your portable vaporizer if you don't clean it regularly. Besides the battery, herbal chamber, screen and mouthpiece, your standard vaporizer kit will probably include a soft bristle scrubbing brush. Add a safe cleaning solution (one that won't leave toxic residue and can be ingested), cotton swab, cotton cloth, toothpick, pin and air can (used for cleaning computer keyboards). Most vaporizers should not be completely submerged in water because this would damage the electrical parts.
Vaporizer Cleaning Method
Here are the steps to cleaning your portable vaporizer: First: Cool the vaporizer. The heating chamber can become very hot and could burn your fingers. Wait an hour after vaping before you start to clean the device.
Second: Disassemble the vaporizer, placing small parts on towels, so you don't lose them.
Third: Use soft bristle brush to gently remove any dust or debris from the heating chamber. Insert brush into chamber, turn to loosen debris. Use air can to complete removal. Dip cotton swab into cleaning solution - wipe herbal chamber interior to disinfect.
Fourth: Use the pin or toothpick to unclog screens. Disinfect with cotton swab.
Fifth: Wipe accumulated residue off the mouthpiece using cotton cloth. Disinfect with cleansing solution.
Sixth: Leave pieces out to air dry.
How Often Should I Clean My Vaporizer?
Your cleaning schedule will vary based on herbs, vaping frequency and personal characteristics. Giving your vaporizer a thorough cleaning every week should be the bare minimum. After each session, you might want to simply wipe down the mouthpiece and disinfect it, especially if you share it with others.
Enjoy your vaporizer. Find the purest, freshest herbs to ensure that you enjoy the most full-bodied tastes while vaping. Frequently disinfecting the mouthpiece will prevent you from spreading many diseases. Clean your vaporizer regularly to enjoy good, clean vaping fun.

New to Weed Vapes? Here’s 7 Vape Tips for Beginners
CBD oils or marijuana concentrates being used in vape pens is a fast-growing trend. They are the safer, more flavorful, and discreet alternative to smoking cannabis. Vaping ensures that you don’t consume too much of THC, so you don’t get that unwanted “Too High” feeling. It is even backed by a large number of scientific studies and research according to the Cannabis Therapeutics Journal.
However, quite a number of beginners find it challenging to adapt to vaping, especially the ones who are just transitioning from smoking. If you are just starting out on the vape life, here are some tips that could be useful for the best experience.
1) Invest In a Good Vaporizer
One of the biggest mistakes most vaping beginners make is that they go for the cheapest vaping kit to save a couple of dollars. Well, everyone likes sparing some cash when making a purchase, so being frugal is good. However, your first vaporizer as a beginner will have a lot of impact on your vaping experience.
In most cases, cheap vaping kits won’t give you the best experience. Some are either too bulky, while others lack convenience features such as auto shut, USB charge, and smart temperature control settings. Others are just too complicated to use and are not attractive at all.
When shopping for your first vaporizer, be sure to read the best vaporizer reviews and compare devices before choosing a good one based on price. A good vaporizer is a priceless investment, especially if it’s your first few days of vaping. This can’t be emphasized enough, be sure to invest in a good kit for a start and you won’t regret getting into vaping.
2) The Available Types of Vaporizers
Of course, you don’t have to break the bank over getting the best vaporizer on the market. You will come across all sorts of names such as volcano style, gas-powered, artistic and many more. However, the two main types of herb vaporizers are stationary and portable vaporizers.
Vape pens and vape MODS are a good example of a portable vaporizer, whereas stationary ones include table-top units. Notice the word ‘mods ‘is in capital letters above? I’ll tell you why in the last paragraph of this vape tips for beginners guide.
So back to the main agenda, the best vaporizer for you will be based on how often you need a high. Are you an on-the-go kind of person or do you do your herb at the end of the day when relaxing in the office? Nonetheless, portable vaporizers, especially the pen vape models are almost gaining a household name.
3) Choosing a Vaping Device
Having read this article to this point, you most likely have an idea of what to look for from the market already when it comes to buying a vaporizer. Vaping devices have revolutionized a great deal over the past several years. Modern-day vaporizers can even be controlled from a mobile app. Most of the portable models today come with a LED display that shows you how hot your dry herb or CBD oil is getting heated.
Since most vaping devices are battery-powered, battery life is also an important factor to consider when choosing a vaping device. You will also want to pick something that looks stylish, is easily portable and isn’t complicated to use. The design also matters a great deal. If you’re the suit-and-tie kind of person and you’re regularly dressed in official attire, a vaporizer that looks just like your favorite expensive pen can do the trick.
Think about how much dry herb your vaporizer can hold (capacity). Also, consider the range of temperature adjustment the device offers you. And another highly important factor, the heating method. A conduction vaporizer heats your herb or concentrates directly, whereas a convection vaporizer circulates heated air around your herb to heat it up and produce the Vapor! Additionally, some devices work better with cannabis oils, others work better with dry herb and cannabis dabs. Some are universal.
4) Know About Herb E-Liquids and Juices
Even though these are seen more in e-cigs, cannabis e-juices and e-liquids are also available in a wide variety of flavors. However, it is important to do your homework well before buying weed or CBD e-liquids, especially online. With the right equipment, you can even make your own cannabis e-juice.
5) Learn To Manage Your Battery Life
In your accessories, the batteries form the most important piece of your puzzle to vaping. Most starter device batteries give you a color code appended to the button that instructs you about the life of the battery. From this information, you should know what duration the battery can serve you optimally before it starts to die out. The rule of the thumb is to never allow the battery to run completely dead out of charge. Be sure to connect the charger before this happens.
After the battery charges to its maximum level, it is advisable to disconnect the charger a soon as you can. Leaving it to continue charging when full can damage your device’s battery. Some batteries should also not be overtasked. When your battery gets too hot, for instance, it may be an indication you are doing something wrong that could damage the battery severely if not checked on time.
6) Don’t Let Your Supplies Run Out
As a commandment of vaping, it is necessary that you consider having all the supplies required in stock. Just never allow them to get depleted. Don’t wait till you run out of oils or concentrates to acquire more. It can be inconvenient and sometimes frustrating when you don’t get the satisfaction you need when you need it.
7) Enjoy It Whenever You Can
There’s another reason why vaping is beautiful. As long as the substance is legal in your area, you can vape it anywhere you like, in most places. So long as you have a good vaporizer, you have a reliable source for your oils, concentrates, and dabs; and you know how to vape, vaping is more exciting when enjoyed whenever one can, especially with friends.
And when you become an advanced vaper, or you’re already one, you will want to know what the market has in store for you. Well, remember the word MODS somewhere in the first few paragraphs? You will need something portable, stylish, and perhaps affordable for a vaporizer. If such is your case, a professional Review and Comparison of Box Mods could be all you need to make you’re your vaping experience easier, less stressful, and more enjoyable.
Vaping is a great way to get the right dosage of your medicine, all while keeping it sleek, cool and discreet. Keep this info in mind when you’re buying your weed vape to get the best experience possible.

How to vape like you know what you’re doing
If you live in one of the 29 states (or Washington D.C.) that have legalized either recreational or medical marijuana, it’s likely you’ve been asked the question, “Do you even vape, bro?” Smoking weed through the use of vaporized marijuana is one of the safest and least smoky ways to get high. But even if you’re, like, so down, you have to know how to vape weed properly.
By heating cannabis below burning point (451°F), tokers can enjoy the physical and medical benefits of the herb, without the bronchial irritants and carcinogens traditionally found weed smoke. Vaping also saves you money in the long run. One study, conducted by California NORML, found that “vaporizers could convert 46 percent of available THC into vapor, whereas the average marijuana joint converted less than 25 percent of THC.”
But there’s one major downside to vaping pot: There’s a bit of a learning curve when it comes to using actual vaporizers. So, for the first couple of tries, it may feel like you’re just inhaling air—especially if you’re unsure of how to use your vaping device. If you’re curious, or you just picked up a new vape, there are ways you can get the most out of your high. Here’s everything you need to know about vaping weed.
How to vape weed like a pro
Toking with a tabletop vaporizer
Tabletop vapes are the OG method to getting high on vapor. They’re not really portable and must be plugged into a wall. However, temperature control (which allows different terpenes to release and change your experience) and a focus on flavor make them popular with their fans. Be warned: Tabletop vapes are pretty expensive, ranging from $150-$600 and beyond.
There are two types of desktop vaporizers: whip-style and forced-air vapes. We’ll focus on whip-style for now. These type of vapes typically have a hose (that resembles a whip), a loading chamber, and a mouthpiece. The whip tube carries the vapor from your device to your mouth.
If you’re just starting out, you may want to look into Da Buddha. At $190, it’s a whip vape and easy to use.
1. Get your weed. Make sure it’s fresh—not freshly harvested, but not years old. You’ll also need to make sure that it’s dry to the touch and free of moisture.
2. Grind your herb into a fine consistency using a grinder. This helps increase its surface area for vaporizing. Tip: Make sure to grind only as much that can fit into a single chamber, because leftover ground-up weed dries out super fast.
3. Plug in and turn on your vape. This will warm up the heating element and could take a couple of minutes, so be patient. Only move onto the next step once it’s hot and ready.
4. Check the temperature. The general rule of thumb is that you should vape weed somewhere between 356-410°F. You’ll have to consult your device’s user manual in case the dial or temperature settings have their own (1-10 level) scale, and find out what degrees those numbers correlate to.
5. Load your ground flower into the vape by packing the wand (or loading chamber) tightly with your weed.
6. Insert your packed loading chamber inside the heating element and inhale slowly. Warm vapor should fill the tube as you suck in.
How to vape weed with forced-air vaporizers
Forced-air vaporizers work differently as they have a built-in fan. They’re great for vaping with friends since they provide massive hits. The fan blows vapor out into either a whip or a detachable balloon. The Volcano is the most famous of these vaporizers, but there are many comparable ones on the market.
Steps 1-4 are exactly the same with these types of vapes as they are for tabletops, but for Step 5, you may find yourself packing a loading chamber at the base of where you’ll eventually put your balloon bag. Here are the additional steps you’ll need to take to smoke a forced-air vape:
Make sure to turn your air on. Most forced-air style vapes have a button that can be flipped to turn on the fan. Now’s a good time to do this.
Snap your balloon bag into place. Now, the bag should be filling with vapor quickly. Fill the bag as much as you’d desire. Vapor will hold its strength and flavor for about 10 minutes, so only fill up what you need.
Once the bag is filled to your desired size, turn off the air and snap off the balloon.
Add your mouthpiece to the bag. Sometimes this piece doubles as the cap for the loading chamber on certain devices. Now you’re ready to inhale!
Getting high with a portable vape
Portable vapes are incredibly popular and completely stealthy. Sometimes they even purposefully resemble USB drives or even asthma inhalers for maximum stealth. Most portable vapes come in two varieties: oil and plant-based, meaning you can pack the flower directly into the pen. Let’s focus on the latter first. The most popular and most luxe-feeling portable flower vape is the Pax. Here’s how to pack it, and other similar vaporizers.
Plug it in. Many portable vapes will come pre-charged, but some won’t and you’re going to want a full charge on the go. One of the most awesome things about portable vapes is that many come with a USB adaptor so you can plug them straight into your laptop and watch them juice up.
Do a dry run. If this vape is straight out of the box, you’ll want to turn it on without anything in it, to get rid of that factory smell, dust, or any other weird first-time nonsense that could be in it. To do this, turn it to its highest setting for 30-90 seconds.
Remove the loading chamber. Grind your weed and pack it. When you’re done, put the loading chamber back in its place.
Begin inhaling to activate the vaporizer. Pull your lips away when you’ve had enough. Some vapes turn on with a push button, and if yours has one, do that before inhaling. Keep going until you’re high AF.
Oil vape pens work similarly to their plant-based cousins. Instead of smoking ground nugs, you’ll be taking hits of cannabis extract. Lots of pens are actually completely disposable and come with oil pre-loaded. Others require you to keep the base but buy replaceable oil cartridges. This could not be easier. Once your first cartridge is done, unscrew it, throw it away, and screw on a new one. Pretty easy. You’ll have to make sure to check that the cartridge is compatible with your vape, so we recommend bringing your pen base to the dispensary.
Inhaling techniques
It may look easy, but there are some tricks to getting the most out of your inhale while vaping. Unlike traditional smoking, using a bong or a hookah pipe, vaping actually requires less effort. There’s a mantra within the vaping world to “start low and go slow,” and that’s the best advice. Fill your chamber with less than you’d normally put in a pipe since your body isn’t used to how powerful vaping can be. And when you inhale, sip your mouthpiece slowly, like a fine whiskey.
For beginners, we recommend pushing the vapors into just your mouth and throat. For more advanced tokers, let the vapors fill your lungs and try to hold it a second for maximum effect. When you exhale, you can take your time. Since traditional weed smoking often results in a burning sensation in the throat, most people are used to getting the smoke out ASAP. But with vaping, it’s nice to exhale confidently and fully! After all, your day’s about to get a lot better.

Friends Who Vape Together, Stay Together
Spring, the more accomplished “vaper” of the two, returned the volley by tapping his cheeks and lofting a series of “Cheerios,” or cereal-shaped ringlets, across the room.

This was a typical afternoon spent among vapers, the common term for people who vaporize nicotine solutions the way smokers drag on cigarettes. More peculiar and specific names for vapers are “cloud bros,” “flavor chasers” and “maintainers.” Kite, 24, began as a maintainer hoping to stay off cigarettes; he has since become a flavor chaser for the connoisseurship he applies to his hobbyist habit. Spring, 20, by contrast, competes in vaping trick competitions and is sponsored by several vape companies. Spring is an unequivocal cloud bro.
“You can definitely tell which O’s are his,” Kite said, admiring the rich variety of vapor rings Spring pulled from the vaporizer he won at the first vaping contest he entered in Santa Rosa, California, in 2015.
The two are a handful of vapers who frequent the five vape shops in Central Oregon, stoking a marketplace worth more than $2 billion in the United States. The Food and Drug Administration has deemed vaporizers and its accessories and juices as tobacco products; it began regulating them this year.
While the vape landscape may change in coming years, a visitor at Vape Game 3, which was opened in 2014, would think it is was business as usual. On any afternoon, a number of vapers hang out on tall stools at the lounge, which features a wrap-around counter, leather couches and a flat screen. Prices have been carefully written in Old English calligraphy on a chalkboard, and a nearby wall is filled with one-ounce jars of “e-juices,” or nicotine solutions.
Here Kite, who lives in Tumalo, kills time between morning gigs with a moving company and evening shifts as a sound engineer at local music venues. A former smoker and recovering alcoholic, Kite said vaping helps him maintain his nicotine fix while avoiding the tar and additives of cigarettes. Elizabeth Rainwater, who has vaped for more than two years, shares Kite’s enthusiasm. She often sidles up next to him at the lounge during her lunch breaks from her job at a car wash.
Rainwater, 20, said she first tried a lemonade-flavored juice when she was a high school senior. Rainwater switched to vaping, which she first glimpsed on social media, when she worried she was becoming addicted to cigarettes. She currently vaporizes a raspberry-flavored solution that carries a 6-milligram nicotine level — the second-lowest dosage available. She said she likes to have something in her hand, especially when she’s driving — her Tiffany-blue vaporizer fits perfectly. Rainwater said she identifies as a flavor chaser.
Flavor chasers
When vapers hang out together, they let their clouds dribble from their lips. When someone’s vapor brushes their neighbor’s face, they don’t recoil the way one might when engulfed in a cloud of tobacco smoke. This vapor is typically flavored to resemble fruits and baked goods. It fills the air like a heavy perfume.
“Vaping certainly smells a hell of a lot better than smoking a cigarette,” Kite said. “I never once had a woman complain about me smelling like strawberry cannoli.”
Kite was alluding to the flavor of e-juice he is currently enjoying with any one of his eight vaporizers. Flavor chasers suss out fully manual vaporizers that allow them to fine-tune the wattage output, which determines the quantity and heat of the vapor created. On this day, Kite carried his utilitarian $100 “mod,” or vaporizer, that, for its stout functionality, could have been filched from a science laboratory. Kite is a former Vape Game employee you would think still works there, given his Vape Game T-shirts and his professional demeanor. Kite speaks fluently about vaporizers’ power input and wattages; the multisyllabic e-juice ingredients “propylene glycol” and “vegetable glycerin” roll off his tongue. Kite goes through a $20 one-ounce pot of e-juice every four days. He currently vaporizes solutions that contain 6 milligrams of nicotine, which in the middle of the spectrum, ranging from 0 milligrams to 12. While some maintainers work to step down their nicotine intake, Kite said he has no plans to do so.
“Most vapers are people who need nicotine. I’m one of those people who is going to freak out at somebody in traffic if I haven’t had any,” Kite said.
Kite’s devotion to his preferred nicotine delivery device has prompted him to help moderate two Facebook pages — the Bend Vape Club and Flavor Chasers United. The groups enjoy nearly 300 and 150 members, respectively. In both groups, administrators make sure would-be members are 18 or over before they can log in to exchange information about vape legislation and swap products.
“Forums are a place for vapers to form friendships with like-minded people,” Kite said. “They allow us to ask and answer questions easily and quickly.”
Cloud chasers
The sometimes derisive terms cloud chasers and cloud bros are reserved for vapers who prize large clouds. While Spring qualifies as a cloud chaser, his genial demeanor and exceptional trickery exempt him from critique — he is one of the good ones.
Spring, who never smoked cigarettes, became fascinated with “cloud tricks” when he began smoking tobacco-based shisha from hookahs with friends. He switched to vapor when he began to worry about his health. After five months of practicing and studying others’ trick variations on social media, Spring mastered the ability to blow thick, rich rings. Spring works part-time at Vape Game while taking classes at Central Oregon Community College on his way to become an X-ray technician. Although he has never been a cigarette smoker, Spring vaporizes a juice with a 3-milligram nicotine level. He said he has not noticed any adverse health effects, something he monitors when he works out five to six days per week. Now that his contest performances have garnered him attention and sponsors, Spring stokes his following by making vape shop appearances and posting short trick clips on his Instagram page @Nicolaivapes, which has attracted 400 followers. Top vape tricksters have tens of thousands of followers. Spring, who lives in Deschutes River Woods, estimates he spends 10 hours a week practicing his tricks in front of a mirror. His girlfriend, Ashtynn Weber, 19, sitting at his side, quibbled with that figure.
With a laugh, she said, “It’s at least twice as much.”

8 Fascinating Chemical Differences Between Smoking Weed Vs. Vaping Weed
With vaping on the rise, and the current side effects of vaping still unknown, many people are left wondering what, if any, are the differences between smoking weed and vaping weed. Now that vaping has become more commonplace for smoking tobacco, some have begun to explore whether or not a vape can be used for marijuana as well. But that still leaves many with the question: is there a difference in terms of how it affects the body?
First, it's important to mention that although we know that smoking is bad for someone's health — and that cannabis smoke still does contain carcinogenic chemicals — research has found that cannabis smoke doesn't have the same negative effects as tobacco smoke when it comes to emphysema or lung cancer, although research on this is still ongoing. Additionally, there are two primary ways of vaping that currently exist: vaping ground flower (the whole cannabis plant) and vaping cannabis oil.
"In the US, we know relatively little about the way that cannabis consumption habits affect health, due to the Schedule I status of cannabis and lack of research that has been permitted over the years," Dr. Juli Crockett, director of compliance at MMLG, a consulting resource for cannabis licensing and compliance, tells Bustle. "So much of the body of evidence for effects is anecdotal and based on personal experience, and these testimonials are in no small part what has been pushing legislation forward in expanding access to patients and adult-use consumers, alike."
Although vaping and smoking something may have similar hallucinatory effectsgiven the THC content of the marijuana, there are some differences in how they will affect a person's body overall. But it is important to note that research is still inconclusive as to whether or not vaping is the "safest" option for someone who is looking to smoke. Here are eight fascinating differences between smoking weed and vaping weed.
Smoking Burns Plant Matter While Vaping Boils Off The Essential Oils and Cannabinoids
To begin, smoking burns the entire plant. This turns the different cannabinoid, terpenes and other chemical compounds into an inhalable vapor. "All of them acting together produce what’s called the entourage effect, which means that the combination of all of them working together is more effective than if you were to consume each of them in isolation," chief medical officer Dr. Perry Solomon of HelloMD, a digital healthcare platform for the cannabis industry, tells Bustle. Vaporization involves heating the flower material to a temperature that boils off the essential oils and cannabinoids for inhalation without creating combustion, says Dr. Solomon.
When someone vapes an oil, they might be inhaling whatever parts of the plant that the manufacturer has decided to put into that oil. The effects of smoking and vaping can be similar, but the amount of psychoactivity and other effects that result from either method of use depends on the amount of THC and CBD that each contains, says Dr. Solomon.
Vaping Flower Can Be Safer — But Vaping Oils Can Be Just As Harmful
Vaporization can be a safer alternative, but not all vaporization is the same: Ground flower seems to be much safer than vaporizing oils. "With a good flower vaporizer, set properly to 350°F, cannabinoids can be inhaled with little to no products of combustion," cannabis therapeutics specialist Jordan Tishler, MD, of InhaleMD, a medical cannabis clinic, tells Bustle. "However, oil cartridge vaporization can be harmful. There are additives, whether polyethylene glycol, propylene glycol, or more recently cannabis terpenes, which convert to carcinogens at relatively low temperatures."
Vaping Can Be More Consistent
With smoking flower, there is much more variation from batch to batch and grower to grower. With vaping, there is much more consistency in the product. "The plant material is an agricultural product and will have significant variance from farm to farm and year to year, much like wine," David Erickson, chief science officer at Sublime Canna, a cannabis manufacturing company, tells Bustle. "Vape products can be produced in a way that accounts for these variations with the goal of producing the same product with the same experience from batch to batch."
Vape "Smoke" Tends To Be Lighter
Although the "smoke" from a vape isn't technically smoke (it's vapor), there are noticeable differences in what you're inhaling. "Vaping tends to impart a lighter flavor and reduced odor as compared to that of smoking," says Solomon. "Vapor also tends to diffuse more quickly than the smoke from a joint does." Because vaping doesn't involve combustion, this can be easier on the lungs.
Smoking Involves Combustion While Vaping Does Not
When smoking the traditional way, a person is burning the plant and all of the other chemicals that may be in the plant in addition to combusting the paper that the joint is wrapped in. "Combustion occurs between 600 - 900 degrees Celsius whereas vape pens typically operate between 160 and 230 degrees Celsius," cannabis educator Emma Chasen tells Bustle. "Combustion produces toxic byproducts that lead to respiratory symptoms such as bronchitis. Vaporizing does not produce such toxic byproducts and therefore leads to less respiratory symptoms."
Smoking Is More Irritable To The Respiratory System Than Vaping
Because of this combustion, smoking the regular way can do more damage to the respiratory system than vaping. "In the research that is available, it seems clear that smoked cannabis flowers are certainly more irritating to the respiratory system than vaporizing," says Dr. Crockett. "With prolonged smoking in this form, many consumers have reported respiratory issues, such as coughing, wheezing, and other bronchitis-like symptoms."
The Effects Of Vaping Can Feel More One Directional
When someone smokes weed, they are inhaling the full range of secondary compounds in the cannabis flower, so that may lead to greater symptom relief and psychoactive experience, says Chasen. "When using a vape pen [a person is] inhaling an oil that contains mostly cannabinoids, so the effect may feel thinner or more one directional," she says.
Less Product Is Lost When Vaping
Smoking out of a vape might also be more efficient for those who choose to do it. "When smoking, 30 to 50 percent of cannabis may be lost due to sidestream smoke," says Chasen. "Very little product is lost when it comes to vaporizing because the product is heated in an enclosed chamber."
The effects of the cannabis, if it’s either smoked or vaped can be similar. "They’re both fast-acting with effects usually coming on as quickly as 90 seconds," says Dr. Solomon. "And both typically last about one to two hours."
Whether someone is looking to smoke the traditional way or use a vape, always proceed with caution when using marijuana.

8 FOOLPROOF TIPS FOR USING DRY HERB VAPORIZERS
Vaporizing has forever changed the way people enjoy cannabis.
Offering a powerful and reliable way to use cannabis both recreationally and medicinally, without the health risks of smoking, vaporizers are slowly becoming a household item for most regular users.
And, thanks to the advancement of vape technology, vaporizers are becoming more portable and affordable than ever before.
Whether you’re an experienced “vaper” or new to the game, here we share 8 simple tips to vaping dry herb.
Remember to follow these tips for the ultimate vaping experience and follow our blog for more articles like this.
8 TIPS FOR VAPING WITH A DRY HERB VAPORIZER
1. USE FRESH HERB
Fresh is best. We don't mean freshly harvested, but well cured, high quality bud - not bud that is old, stale and dried out.
Remember, your vaping experience is only going to be as good as the herb you’re vaping.
The process of vaporizing relies on moisture; it involves heating a substance to the point where the compounds within it reach their boiling point and form a vapor, which can be inhaled much like smoke.
Hence, it’s always best to use a fresh herb that is more likely to have higher moisture concentrations.
The herbs you load into your chamber shouldn’t be too wet nor too dry. A good way to test the moisture content of your bud is to touch it. Your weed shouldn't be wet or moist to the touch, yet it shouldn’t be so dry that you’re able to crush it into a fine powder with your fingers.
2. GET THE GRIND RIGHT
you’ve inspected your weed and determined it’s fit for vaping, it’s time to get your grind on.
Grinding your herb helps increase its surface area. In turn, this allows the heat from the vaporizer to better penetrate the plant matter and produce a nice, thick, tasty vapor.
When vaping dry herbs, you’ll want to make sure you get a nice, even, medium grind. The best way to do this is to use a manual or electric herb grinder.
If you don’t have one of these tools, grind up your weed as you would do so usually. Just remember that you want an even grind, which might be harder to achieve without a proper weed grinder.
Pro tip: Never grind more weed than you need to fill a single chamber. Any leftover ground weed will dry out much faster.
3. CHECK YOUR TEMPERATURE
Temperature is the most important aspect of vaping. Hence, it’s vital you get your temperature setting right every session, regardless of whether you’re vaping dry herb or concentrates.
Unfortunately, working out the right temperature isn’t as simple as it seems. The general rule of thumb is that you should vape somewhere between 180-210°C (356-410°F). However, you’ll want to experiment to find your ideal setting.
Different cannabinoids vaporize at different temperatures, and slight variations in the moisture content of your bud or the texture of your grind can also affect how well your weed vaporizes.
Plus, many users find that vaping at different temperatures produces different effects; lower temperatures tend to leave users more clear-headed and functional, while higher temperatures tend to produce strong euphoria and relaxation.
Here are some of the different boiling points of the compounds of cannabis to help you figure out the best temperature for you:
- CBG 57°C/126°F - Pinene 155°C/311°F - THC 157°C/315°F - Caryophyllene 160°C/320°F - Myrcene 168°C/334°F - CBD 180°C/356°F - CBN 185°C/365°F - CBC 220°C/428°F
4. PACK TIGHT, BUT NOT TOO TIGHT
Just like smoking from a bong or pipe, the way you pack your vape chamber has a huge effect on the overall experience.
Once again, you’ll want to find the sweet spot of packing your chamber with enough herb so as to generate a good amount of vapor, without going overboard.
At the same time, you’ll want to avoid over-packing the chamber, as this may affect the flow of vapor from the chamber to the mouthpiece. Sometimes, over-packing can also damage the inside of your vape.
5. PREHEAT YOUR VAPE
Vaporizers are like ovens; they need some time to get up to temperature.
Just like you wouldn’t stick a roast chicken in a cold oven, you shouldn’t be sticking your weed into a vape that hasn’t been given time to heat up.
Luckily, most modern, portable vaporizers are able to preheat in just a few seconds, meaning your vape is usually ready to use by the time you’ve ground up your weed.
However, some older models or desktop vaporizers may take a bit longer to get up to temperature.
Regardless of what kind of vape you use, make sure you read through the instructions and learn how to preheat it. This will ensure your weed vaporizes properly and consistently, making for an enjoyable vaping experience every time.
6. INHALE SLOWLY AND LIGHTLY
When vaporizing, remember to take gentle, short drags.
When vapes first hit the market, there was this trend of taking big, long, and deep drags from the mouthpiece as if you were trying to suck a piece of fruit through a straw from the bottom of your smoothie.
There are two main downsides to vaping like this:
Firstly, taking long, hard puffs from your vape can cause some of your weed to be sucked up from the chamber, through the mouthpiece, and into your mouth.
Secondly, drawing hard and regularly from your vape introduces cold air into the chamber. This ultimately brings down the temperature inside your vape, making the machine work harder and thus, affecting the quality of your vapor.
7. AVOID COMBUSTION
Combustion is the number one thing you want to avoid when vaping.
Combustion is what happens when you light the end of a joint, blunt, or bong. By combusting your weed, you essentially break down chemical bonds within it, creating what are called “free radicals.”
These compounds can then combine together to create hundreds of new compounds, most of which are highly toxic and carcinogenic.
Remember, the most likely reason you’re vaping is to avoid the negative side effects of smoking.
Hence, take the time to experiment with different temperatures to find the sweet spot that allows for the best vapor production, without actually burning your herb.
Following the temperature guides we mentioned above are a good place to start, but remember to take the time to play around with these settings every session to account for the differences in moisture content and physical consistency of your weed.
8. MAINTAIN YOUR VAPE
Last but not least, the best way to ensure a great vape experience is to properly maintain your vaporizer.
Vaporizers, like other pieces of machinery, need to be well kept in order to function at their best.
When you get your vape, make sure you read over the care instructions outlined in the manufacturer's user guide. Follow these instructions and make a habit of cleaning out your vape regularly, as well as replacing parts as necessary.
Vaporizers can be expensive. To make sure yours lasts as long as it should, remember to care for/maintain it like you would other pieces of expensive equipment.

Why More Musicians Need to Ditch Cigarettes and Start Vaping
While it would be nice if everyone that smokes could simply quit cold turkey and never have to rely on anything else to give them the nicotine that their bodies developed an addiction to, this is not an option that is possible for a lot of people. Thankfully, there are a wide variety of vaping devices that can be used which, while not perfect, may be a better alternative to cigarettes.
Why Should They Stop?
It is not just because vaping is a fad or trend. In fact, vaping has gained so much popularity and has been around for long enough that it would be very hard to convince anyone that it is just a trend.
First, let’s start with the influence that they have over young people who look up to them – their idols. While musicians will want to make sure that they are properly representing their true selves, they want to set a good example when possible. Since there is such a negative impact on their vocal talent when musicians smoke, more and more are turning to a cigarette free lifestyle. Some performers want to only go to and perform at smoke free venues.
Another point to consider is that it won’t take much time at all before cigarettes will start to create a lot of problems for their art. The voice of the singers will begin to change, and not for the better. If you listen to some famous musicians who over the years have smoked a lot, you can generally tell a big difference between the quality of their voice in the beginning of their career and the terrible sounds that they produced towards the end of their career. If you don’t want the quality of music that you produce to start suffering, you will need to look for other options for your smoking needs.
The Options
One perk of vaping that many people have found is that there seem to be countless flavors of e liquid to pick from and there are a lot of various stores now carrying vape juices and wide varieties of vape starter kit uk. If you want the largest selection possible, you will want to look for an online retailer. You can get anything and everything including cotton candy or regular tobacco flavor. Choose cbd wholesale that offers best price. You can explore all of the different flavors until you find your favorites. You might even want to mix two flavors together in order to create your own special vape juice to your liking.
Anyone that might be a little worried that vaping will not be everything that they need may not have had the chance yet to really get a close look at the options that are available. First, you will want to know that there are a lot of options to pick from when it comes to the strength of the nicotine that is in the e liquid.
If you are someone that happens to need more nicotine than others, you will be able to find the higher strengths that will give you everything you need. If you want just a little bit of nicotine, there are plenty of juices out there to pick from in the lower strengths as well.
If you happen to have the desire to completely stop smoking anything altogether, you can always slowly reduce the strength of the nicotine that you are vaping, there are even vape juices that contain absolutely zero nicotine. So if you were to find yourself able to come off of the nicotine, you can still technically enjoy the ritual and taste of vaping if that is something that you are going to want to do.
So What Will You Do?
As someone that wants to protect your voice and your overall health, you will want to make use of the advantages of vaping as soon as possible. The sooner you make the switch, the sooner you will start to feel a lot better, even if you were not sure whether how you currently feel on the day-to-day basis could improve. You will be surprised at just how much you will enjoy vaping.

Some Older Smokers Turn to Vaping. That May Not Be a Bad Idea.
Jeannie Cox currently enjoys a flavor called Coffee & Cream when she vapes. She’s also fond of White Lotus, which tastes “kind of fruity.”
She buys those nicotine-containing liquids, along with her other e-cigarette supplies, at Mountain Oak Vapors in Chattanooga, Tenn., where she lives. A retired secretary in her 70s, she’s often the oldest customer in the shop.
Not that she cares. What matters is that after ignoring decades of doctors’ warnings and smoking two packs a day, she hasn’t lit up a conventional cigarette in four years and four months.
“Not one cigarette,” she said. “Vaping took its place.”
Like Ms. Cox, some smokers have been able to stop smoking by switching to e-cigarettes, and many are trying. A recent study by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention found that more smokers now attempt to quit by using e-cigarettes as a partial or total substitute for cigarettes than by using nicotine gum or lozenges, prescription medications or several other more established methods.
Her success is what researchers disdainfully call “anecdotal evidence,” however. There’s “no conclusive evidence” that e-cigarettes help people stop smoking long-term, said Brian King, deputy director of the C.D.C.’s Office of Smoking and Health.
At the moment, therefore, neither the C.D.C., the Food and Drug Administration nor the United States Preventive Services Task Force has approved or recommended e-cigarettes for smoking cessation. In fact, the rise of e-cigarettes has generated contentious debate among public health officials and advocates.
But while the proportion of Americans who smoke continues to decrease — down to 15.1 percent in 2015 — the decline has stalled among older adults.
People over age 65 have always been less likely to smoke than adults in general, in part because premature death means fewer smokers survive to older ages. In 1965, when the C.D.C. started tracking smoking rates, 18.3 percent of older adults were smokers. It took 20-plus years for the proportion to fall below 15 percent.
But over the last six years, that percentage has plateaued, bouncing between 8 percent and 9 percent. That still leaves millions of older smokers who probably know they should quit, and may want to, but haven’t.

Might switching to vaping improve their health, even if they never become completely nicotine-free?
“Vaping is clearly less harmful than regular cigarettes,” said Dr. Steven Schroeder, who directs the Smoking Cessation Leadership Center at the University of California, San Francisco, and is a co-author of a recent JAMA article reviewing tobacco control developments.
Some studies have estimated that e-cigarettes confer at least a two-thirds reduction in health risks, compared with smoking.
Nicotine, Dr. Schroeder pointed out, isn’t the primary culprit in the long list of smoking-related diseases. It’s the addictive ingredient that keeps smokers lighting up, but the thousands of other chemicals in combustible cigarettes, among them 70 known carcinogens, do most of the damage.
“If you could get nicotine in a safer form, like an F.D.A.-approved medication, even for the rest of your life, you’d be in far better shape,” said David Abrams, a clinical psychologist at New York University who researches nicotine and smoking.
This argument, known as harm reduction, recognizes that the best course for older smokers is to quit both cigarettes and e-cigarettes — especially since questions remain about the latter’s safety, for users and for those inhaling secondhand vapor.
But harm reduction proponents like Dr. Abrams maintain that given the difficulty of quitting altogether, vaping could provide a reasonable alternative. “Any smoker, especially an older smoker, who isn’t thinking about switching is doing himself a major disservice,” he said.
Ms. Cox wasn’t actually thinking about switching. She had loved smoking ever since she was a teenager sneaking Marlboros, and although she had developed a nighttime cough, she wasn’t trying to quit.

But she’d planned a fall visit to her nonsmoking children in Alaska in 2013, and standing outside their home to smoke sounded unappealingly chilly. Ms. Cox did some online research, tried several flavors at Mountain Oak and bought a starter kit.
“I’m not quitting smoking, I’m just trying this newfangled thing,” she told herself. “Three days later, I realized I hadn’t smoked a cigarette in three days. I thought, ‘This is working out kind of nice. Quitting is not supposed to be this easy.’”
Usually, it’s not. Although older smokers don’t seem to have a harder time than others, stopping cigarettes cold-turkey only rarely works.
Would-be quitters can greatly increase their odds of success by using F.D.A.-approved nicotine replacement products, or a prescription drug like Chantix, and by seeking support from smoking cessation counselors or telephone quit lines like 1-800-NOBUTTS.

“We know what works,” said Dr. King of the C.D.C. “We have 50 years of science showing what works.” Still, smokers make an average 15 attempts before they become ex-smokers.
The fear that they’ll stop trying to go nicotine-free, and vape instead, is one reason the C.D.C. and most public health groups don’t embrace e-cigarettes.
In fact, the C.D.C. reports that most smokers don’t entirely switch; they become “dual users” who continue to smoke while vaping. Because even a few conventional cigarettes daily increase the risks of mortality and cardiovascular disease, “you’ll still get an adverse health effect,” Dr. King said.
Further, the C.D.C. takes a broad view of what improves public health, and it worries about growing e-cigarette use by adolescents (though conventional smoking has declined in that age group), even if the products might help others stop.
Longtime suspicion of Big Tobacco plays a role in the e-cigarette controversy, too, as the industry muscles into a field now populated by hundreds of small vapor companies.
The F.D.A. had planned to begin regulating e-cigarettes next August, prompting an outcry that small manufacturers unable to afford the hefty costs of applying for approval would simply shut down, leaving the field to the likes of Philip Morris.
The agency has since pushed e-cigarette regulation back to 2022. “A delay of execution,” said Gregory Conley of the American Vaping Association. For now, the industry can’t advertise vaping products as safer than cigarettes or even as smoke-free.
The industry has not particularly targeted older smokers, Mr. Conley said, possibly seeing them as set in their purchasing habits, and unwilling to spend time in vape shops experimenting with vaporizers and liquids to find a satisfying substitute for cigarettes (and a cheaper one, after the initial equipment purchase).
But older smokers also have a greater need to give up cigarettes. Not only can quitting extend their lives, but it can ward off many of the debilitating effects of heart disease, diabetes and other chronic disorders. Nonsmokers respond better to surgery and chemotherapy, Dr. Schroder noted, and older adults often face one or both.
Ms. Cox wasn’t feeling ill, apart from that cough, when she switched to a vaporizer and unintentionally stopped smoking. But she felt better afterward.
“I could breathe easier,” she said. “I was no longer coughing. I could sleep longer. I got happier.”
