Nof Taxonomy

Mammalia (class)-> Carnivora (order) -> Caniformia (suborder) -> Nofidae (family) -> Nofus (genus)

Species with Nofus include: Nofus Aurum (Gold Nof), Nofus Umbra (Sha Nof), Nofus Pluma (Feathered Nof), Nofus Aqua (Marine Nof), Nofus Flora (Plant Nof), and Nofus Fauna (Arboreal Nof).

Nofs do not have advanced understanding of taxonomy, and therefore would not refer to themselves or other life by taxonomic classifications. They refer to themselves either by common name, ex. Gold Nof; genus name, ex. Nof; or by origin, ex. Feathra Nof.

SMALL EDIT: I called Nofs, the dominant species of Nofra, ���fox-like” however I recently redesigned them. A better way to describe them would be as intelligent carnivores.

What makes Nofra different from Earth?

Nofra is very much an earth-like planet, but it has some slight differences.

SIZE

Nofra is smaller than Earth, around 75% of the size of Earth. Hence, its atmosphere is less dense.

2. CLIMATE

Nofra’s climate is warmer than Earth’s, due to its sun being larger and closer.

3. MYTHOLOGY

Mythology in Nofra is oftentimes much more facts than myth. Since all countries are theocracies and magic is easily accessible, its safe to say the world of Nofra is quite fantastical.

4. SPECIES

The dominant species of Nofra are intelligent quadruped mammals called Nofs. Primates do not exist on Nofra, but most Earth animals do.
