13 hours of work and it's all done! I really like how this turned out! Grian said he wants to get all nostalgic for season 9 so that's what I wanted to do with this piece! Mwah! Nostalgia! :D
can we talk about how tango's Rage was calmed down so quickly by jimmy alone, when last time it took about fifteen minutes and every member of the team? can we talk how tango's rage was never aimed at jimmy, the person who provoked scar by stealing his horse? can we talk about how tango trusted jimmy to be in the ancient city, alone, on a yellow life, something that jimmy was sure tango would be angry at him for? can we talk about how in episode 1 jimmy wouldnt even tell tango about the water bucket i.o.u because "tango might shout at me" and now he admitted to the martyn i.o.u. without hesitation? can we talk about how much validation they give each other, jimmy about tangos build and "I've never been more proud of anyone in my entire life"? can we talk about how everyones agenda to mess with jimmy by not responding to their horns has backfired spectacularly bc now when no one else answers, tango just knows immediately jimmy is close? can we talk just for a quick second about team rancher my dudes
The wheel of fortune has many interpretations, upright it can be linked to a sudden burst of good luck, destiny, chance and even can connect to soulmates.
However when reversed it can be associated with disappointment, misfortune, and one may be even go as far as being described as a 'captive to fate'.
Sometimes I think Grian was dealt a reversed card in all of the life series.
Every time he hopes things will be better, the universe decides to gift him a reversed Wheel of Fortune. Tying him to the one man that betrayed him then was forced to kill in a bloody fist fight? Sounds unlucky to me. Yet.. maybe this could be an opportunity of fortune and success for the couple. Guess we'll have to wait and see.
The Lovers card represents love and unity in the upright position, it's about choice, connection and communication with loved ones.
But when reversed, it represents a relationship where feelings are one-sided and not mutual, wherein The Lovers are out of sync with one another and the relationship is strained or challenging.
So I'm excited to see how these two's cards get dealt within the series.
I wanted to create something inspired by that Macbeth quote because it's all about the inevitability of violent actions leading to more violence etc etc and it felt very fitting to the desertduo fight at the end of third life so yeah! Woo first post!
