I am a university student and I always imagined my dreams and my future. I dreamed of becoming a doctor, but unfortunately the war came and my university was destroyed. I want to travel abroad and I want to complete my studies and dreams. I want a life free of bombing. I want a life that has the basics of life. I do not want a life of luxury. I just want the basics!!! (Water, food, electricity, safety, education, medicine, net)

Winter in the tent😥

Do you know what that means for the elderly and children?

It is the season of illness and oppression for them, after they have lived with great difficulty with the conditions of extreme heat. The winter season comes bearing severe cold and chest diseases that have begun to attack the children and adults of my family.

Because of the extreme danger to them and to protect them from chronic diseases, we searched for an apartment to rent to the adults and children of the family only, numbering 13 people, for a period of six months. The tenant had asked for $1,400 Canadian dollars per month, for a total of $8,400 Canadian dollars for six months.

Do you think that the matter is limited to this? There is another side: These people do not have winter covers or heavy clothes to protect them from the cold of winter.

What if the adults and children of the family stayed in the tent!! 🤔

You are talking about a great danger. The pain and oppression will be great, and diseases will come to them at a difficult time when there are no medicines or hospitals available.

TENTS FLOODED ‼️

Due to the heavy rain, our tents got flooded. We tried to prevent the water from leaking into the tent, but the tent covers are old and worn out. The tent got flooded with rain, and our personal belongings got soaked as well. Puddles formed inside the tent. We don't know what we will do in the coming days , winter has become a nightmare for those living in tents.

Reema is the cousin of @mohamedabushaban06 (source). A few days ago, I made an emergency promotion to get Mohammed registered for college abroad here (It's not urgent anymore but he can still use support).

She's a 4th (out of 5) year pharmaceutical student currently studying abroad in Egypt after her school in Gaza was destroyed. Pharmacy school is difficult but she has a high average.

She just fundraised enough to pay her tuition for all her remaining schooling (see fund allocation section) and will start her semester on Sep 21, 2024.

The campaign goal was raised to $25,000 and the additional $5,000 will go towards academic needs and Reema's family back in Palestine.

She needs a new laptop after losing her old one.

Fund allocation:

All the original $20k is for paying off all of Reema's remaining schooling. There was a rush to get her from $15k to $20k to pay off her current semester due to banking complications. Her campaign manager was not in Canada until very recently and could not access the funds already in the campaign.

Even now, the manager can only send $1,500 at a time. At the time of writing this (Sep 22), I'm not sure when Reena can access the $15k and she isn't online often because she has the flu.

Reema needs a new laptop after losing her old one.

The laptop she wants is USD $1,200 or CAD $1,629. Taking into account gfm and transfer fees, I've estimated that it'll cost $1,800. This number is subject to change with additional details.

She needs the laptop before her tests in early November. To account for shipping times and preventing procrastination, I've set the deadline to Oct 20.

Additional funds will go towards other school supplies and providing for Reema's family in Palestine because they've supported her.

Sep 22: It's unclear when Reema can access the $15k already earned (hence some uncertainty about deadlines), but I haven't been able to get full answers as she got a bad case of the flu and isn't online often. Digital Art Raffle for Ahmad's Family

Hello everyone. I've decided to host a raffle to raise funds for my friend Ahmad (@ahmadwaleed55) and his family. His campaign is number 167 on the Vetted Gaza Fundraiser List by @/el-shab-hussein and @/nabulsi. Ahmad has been fundraising for his family since April, and still hasn't even reached 50% of the total amount needed. Currently, $9,420 / $25,000 has been raised to support Ahmad's family.

In my previous post, I explained the current situation with Ahmad's family, and that they urgently need to raise enough money to purchase a new tent for winter.

The rules are as follows:

Every donation of at least $10 will count as one entry. If you donate $20, your name will be entered twice. If you donate $30, your name will be entered three times.
