While I'm out for the ten days, here's some in-progess/unfinished rough sketches for upcoming things later in September/October.

More Digital Circus Saja Boys stuff based off the original post by @skellyjingles, then some very, very rough concept bits for the other TADC AU I write, Gummigoo's Digital Days. The background is very much a placeholder - sadly it doesn't exist in any meaningful way yet.

We're actually getting closer to this point in Sherbet's Gate. It's like a couple chapters away, since they got on the Marzipania (at last! It's only taken almost a year.) The Funnygummy sloppy snogging that I've been hinting at/joking about forever is around the corner, which mostly likely means late September/early October.

The newest chapter is out now, located here. It's a bit longer than I'd like, but since I will be out of the country for about twelve days without reliable internet access, hopefully it can tide people over while there's a gap in updates.

I won't be able to respond to people easily on here or on Ao3 until the first week of September, but I really appreciate all the support I've gotten on the fic since I starting posting a year ago.

Oh look, Sherbet's Gate NPC profiles, how neat!

There's actually proper visualization of how they look like - as much as I can portray them. The world's still steeped in sepia for now.

I usually don't talk about the NPC OCs on here, for a whole host of reasons (mostly spoiler related), but now that I'm in the final stretch of the first installment, here's the cursory, mostly spoiler-free profiles of some of the more important ones.

There's probably going to be more further down the line, but it won't be for a bit. I'll probably have to go back in here and add the text further down this post, if Tumblr compresses it too much.

Especially with Episode 6 now out, how do you expect Jax and Gummigoo’s relationship to play out in Gummigoo’s Digital Days?

Oh, that's a good question there!

The short answer is complicated and a bit messy.

A longer answer is that they're both going to be getting some sort of begrudging understanding of each other. Jax might start slipping up and forgetting that Gummigoo's an NPC, and that's going to take a bit of a toll on him. Gummigoo's also going to slowly let his guard down around, but he's never going to be fully open with him that in the way he'd be around the others.

The Episode 6 ideas are fairly rough, but they're building off the adaption for Episode 5 - the evil doppelgangers' existence, especially Pomni, is going to be leaving Gummigoo with a bunch of doubts about his encounter with Pomni at Spudsy's. Jax's bit about them all being cartoon characters and archetypes is definitely going to appeal to Gummigoo at the point, though it's not going to last.

In the Gummigoo Revival AU, how would Gummigoo handle an encounter with Max and Chad, if they end up ever being recycled for an adventure? Especially if they were in a much more antagonistic role in it?

Great question! I've definitely thought about this on more than one occasion, especially if Max and Chad's memories would be wiped or not, since they and Gummigoo were a 'set' intended to share the same background and motivations. But trying to fit Gummigoo into a new backstory for them when he's not part of their group anymore would be a hard work-around for Caine, so unless he'd recycle the Candy Canyon as a whole for a continuation adventure, in all likelihood Max and Chad's code would be reset to have them completely forget Gummigoo.

Which in that case he'd react...

She kinda gives me Nori from MD vibes, I love hardheaded mom characters who don't take anyone's shit and would do anything for their kids.

Given what we've seen from the sneak peeks of episode 6, maybe Pomni does have it in her to be a candy bandit!

With Sherbet's Gate, we're going to start seeing her accelerate her activities more and more as time goes on - maybe to an alarming degree. There's definitely going to be repercussions down the line, but we'll be getting plenty of shooting, looting, and brawling before it gets to that point.

Old sketches I've been sitting on for a while, never to be properly finished. With Episode 6 around the corner, having Pomni slide into being an outlaw and getting into the role to a (possibly too enthusiastic degree) is suddenly more justifiable.

Even some of the more out there plot points coming up that I worried about got some level of relief because canon did it first.

Hopefully I'll have another chapter or two out before the 21st, as I'll be offline for a week.

Hey! Sorry this took a while. I'm actually saving Novvet's hatching for a fanfic I'm hoping to get out (eventually...) and it's honestly a bit too long and emotional for me to feel like I could do it justice in a short-form comic, so I'm really sorry that I didn't get around to that! I'll post the link to the fic whenever I get it out...at some point...

Well, the second and final chapter of Part One of Gummigoo's Digital Days has finally arrived. There's been stuff I've been sitting on for several months now, and I finally managed to write a complete multi-chapter fic that isn't an 1,100 page PDF when downloaded.
