F/O Imagine: Size Difference + Cuddling (Gender Neutral Reader + F/O)

Imagine laying with your f/o who is MUCH larger than you, their body enveloping yours so effortlessly as they hold you close to their chest. You feel the rise and fall of their chest as you listen to their heartbeat followed by them whispering sweet nothings to you. Their large hands rub up and down your back as you drift into a relaxed, dreamy state. You wrap your arms around their thick middle and hum, letting out a calming exhale through your nostrils, allowing them to know that you’re comfortable–that they’re not squishing you or hurting you.

You could lay like this for hours. They’re basically a human blanket, giving off heat and keeping you warm in the cool air of the night. They’re soft skin against yours is like a dream, and they feel the same way. They stroke you (insert color) hair and kiss the top of your forehead, whispering “I love you” under their breath before drifting off to sleep. You utter a small, sleepy, “O love you, too” before following them into dreamland.

Imagine going to a carnival with (F/C), and you take special interest in one of the giant stuffed prizes. (F/C), wanting to make you as happy as possible, makes it their mission to win it for you. You’re touched by their dedication, and initially encourage them to do their best, but after numerous failed attempts and trips to the ATM, you start to worry for them, and practically drag them away from the game to avoid them from becoming broke. 

(F/C) reluctantly agrees, but is upset, and very disappointed in themselves for failing to win the prize you desired. Your heart aches at seeing (F/C) so discouraged, and try to cheer them up by playing one round of the game yourself. 

You’re not sure if it was by luck, or if you had a genuine skill for this game, but somehow you were able to win on your first and only try, finally winning the prize you both sought after for so long. (F/C) is more than happy for you and your win, but you decide to give them the prize instead for all their effort from before.

So I went to my therapist the other day, and later in the appointment I mentioned that I like to write self-insert fiction to cope. I also said that I generally hide it and felt embarrassed mentioning it due to the way people treat the concept online.

She said that self-inserting yourself into art and writing is an incredibly healthy way to feel good about yourself, and that she was appalled when I told her about the way it’s mocked on the internet.

So never feel bad about self-inserting or enjoying reader insert fanfiction, 1/1 professionals agree that it’s good for you and that the jerks who say you’re doing something wrong are just uneducated and don’t understand. Never listen to the anons who try to make you feel bad <3
