Lilac irises riddled with pity, she shook her head, feeling the slight sting of second-hand embarrassment for the poor man.

Lilac irises bore an icy glaze, flicking toward the young girl momentarily as though it is hardly worth the effort. Rize was not in the habit of helping others, least of all a younger ghoul who clearly was not apt at defending herself. However, a favour hung over her like a storm cloud; if it weren’t for Yoshimura and his hapless band of precious Anteiku flowers, the binge-eater would still be in captivity. Though the easier option would have been to make herself scarce, Rize couldn’t avoid the nagging sense of obligation. With a sickly sweet smile, the binge-eater stepped over the mangled corpse of the SS rated ghoul who attacked Hinami, wiping some blood off her cheek.

The binge-eater licked her lips, humming a pleasant tune as satisfaction coursed through her veins. Rize chomped through the last piece of leg calf from her most recent kill; usually her favourite part on account of how lean and juicy they were. Thick droplets of blood dribbled down her chin and onto her chest, leaving the front part of her white dress drenched in scarlet.

But that was the least of her concerns as a familiar, grating voice invaded her senses. With teeth clenched, she rose to her feet. Inclining her head to the side, Rize scoffed as she let the severed forearm in her hands fall to the ground. The binge-eater seldom lost her appetite, yet somehow in the presence of a certain pig-headed man, the excitement of devouring her meal was all but lost.

❛ You again? ❜ Rize hissed, irritation lining her voice like venom. ❛ I’m getting really FUCKING tired of this cat-and-mouse chase. Surely there’s someone else you can bother with that HIDEOUS face of yours? ❜
