she only hums in response after hearing his answering, trying her best to hold back from refraining to add another cruel response. a part of her wasn’t interested in knowing about their friendship, and the other part of her was. maybe if it wasn’t for her and haru’s break up, the three of them could have possibly been the trio that they used to be. “  it’s nothing that would interest you but if you really want to know..  ” she leans over to him, looking around the coffee shop as if someone from the FBI was here, stalking them.”  it’s just doodles....  ” she whispers before sitting down in her seat with a smile plastered across her face.

for the third time this week, jianyu was at the junkyard on a hunt for a new part for .. something. some scrap metal or even a decent engine. anything he could his hands on and could make something with, at the least. if he could get his hands on an old vacuum, he’d hit jackpot. suddenly, the clatter of car parts clanging against each other grabbed his attention. wandering over to the source of the sound, he noticed a figure tossing parts  out of an old car, and tapped them on the shoulder. 

“ currently, no… but on last tuesday.. i think i had a death wish then ? if that counts ? and if you’re asking for whats wrong with me, i’m not sure what to say but apparently some people could write a lengthy list of things that are wrong with me. ” jianyu wiped his hands on his jeans. “ however, if you’re looking for a fight, i don’t mind fighting at all. ”

“don’t you have somewhere to be, jianyu? i heard that a circus is coming to town in a few weeks and they were looking for quality clown entertainment. i think you would be a good fit for it. i was going to pick haru for it but .. he doesn’t really match the clown material they are looking for if you know what i mean.” she shines a small smile towards him before continuing to look at her parts that were all over the place. useless and old. sooji had it rough these past few days and a fight would just make it worse so she shakes her head in reponse to his statement.”maybe next time. parking lot, five p.m? is that a good time?? -- or would six be good for you ?”

“i would rather not. they might just make me go blind and we don’t want that. i don’t want that.” of course the humor in her tone, clearly meant that she was joking but she couldn’t help but keep a straight face on.”are you flirting with me, arden? you must think very highly of yourself if you think i would want you to call me any of those names.” she lets out a scoff before returning to her slow walking.”you said that for about the fifth time. we should have just gotten some roller skates while we were at the store.”

         ❛❛   chewbacca ?   ❜❜      he whispered in gentle confusion and hurt , suddenly feeling self-conscious about his voice . or was she calling him big and hairy ? he always kept his hair      (    mostly    )      well groomed , what the fuck ? he furrowed his brows at the immediate threats he was on the receiving end of , continuously not surprised by sooji and her intense way of being . brutal was one word , downright cruel was another . haru had learned to expect anything from her , though . ever since they fell apart , he learned just how words could be used as weapons . not just hers , haru said things to her he never imagined himself capable of too . the whole    ❛  shouldn’t you be dead  ❜    thing caught him only a little off guard , but he recovered quickly . he built the ice wall between them and her heated words weren’t going to break it down .      ❛❛   not for lack of trying , trust me , i don’t want anything from you either .   ❜❜      he spoke through gritted teeth .      ❛❛   including flying pieces of garbage .   ❜❜      he motioned towards the pile of junk .      ❛❛   i didn’t know it was you , i just came to tell the idiot who was throwing shit around to be more careful .   ❜❜      the last words were spoken more aggressively than the rest , and the annoyed look in his eyes was about the most obvious thing in the world .      ❛❛   you know other people live in this neighborhood and it’s not just you , right ?  ❜❜

“it was either that or your name. every time i say your name, it makes me wanna throw up in my mouth..and i would rather NOT do that.” she shakes her head slowly as those final words leaves her mouth. a fake smile appeared across her features before turning her head over to the pile of junk that laid down on the floor in front of her, examining each and every one closer and carefully.    she didn’t flinch at his outburst, it didn’t phase her. it didn’t scare her. it did nothing to her. as she simply stood there unaffected letting him deal with his bursts of aggression.  “an idiot huh? you still don’t watch your mouth after all theses months? guess it was quite foolish of me to even think that you did. i’m tellin’ you..think before you talk.” the harshness in her words never left her system when she was talking to haru. she would have never thought that haru and her would ever separate from being best friends to enemies. it was never in her mindset then, but maybe they went their ways for a reason ? “wow, aren’t you smart ! maybe i should change your name from chewbacca to .. captain obvious ?? what do you think ?? ”

sooji didn’t really know why flo thought this was a good idea. she wouldn’t have be in this position in the first place if flo hadn’t trick her. apparently, over the phone, flo stated that there was a NEW car repair shop that was doing better than sooji’s. and of course, she had to run over there quickly to criticize the whole thing. but to her surprise, she was lying. thankfully, there was no such thing about a new car repair shop that was better than sooji’s or else she would have left false accusations on yelp underneath different names. “ flo no you can’t get that —— “ she says looking at the plain white dragon t-shirt she was holding. it was horrible and not in her size.
