Cannot wait to explore Marya and Olethra's relationship. Junker, who was the scrappy youngster of the original wind riders who's now haunted by past horrors. Olethra, a wide-eyed dreamer who's waited for this moment her whole life. The whole crew is inspired by her and her grandmother to go back to the skies, find Zood because it's real. But Marya has this sinking, clawing feeling. She's let herself dream before, and she knows how it ended. When the crew sees Olethra they think of Comfrey, they remember Junker. But Marya is still here. She's right there with them. But she's different. I wonder how they'll handle it.

the lyric “you taught me a secret language i can't speak with anyone else” in illicit affairs is kind of crazy in the context of the manuscript because being in a relationship with an older man lead her to believe that she was so more mature than she actually was but when they broke up he kept saying that she was actually too young for him. the way she felt too young then after that with guys who were older than her and too mature for guys her own age… she must have felt so out of place.
